They drop support for features and targets (Web Scrapers API) without notice or pausing the subscriptions. Also their support coudn't offer any refund, due to their super strict policy. You would think asking for a refund for a a renewal after less than 30min of it happening, would be reasonable. but No.

I used this service for a long time when its name was smartproxy, I never purchase resident ips but tried data centers ips, One day i just login as usual and they not let me login until i verify my identity with selfie and personal id, I have used a lot of sites but every site have a policy if we buy resident ips or mostly if we need to use banking apps or something they require id verification for security purpose and it make sense, but i was using datacenter ips and they freeze my account to verify first to login, luckily myy plan i not renewed and it expired recently, if i had active plan what type of professionalism is this to suddenly force user to verify to login? its felt like a scam to force user to give its data. right?
customer support says its for security purpose! like for datacenter ip what type of security you mentioning? its like to connect to a VPN first give us your ID? to get privacy first give you private info to us? i can't write so long for this but very unprofessional and use tactics to force users.

They canceled my account without any reason, tried and found low speed of their ip addresses and and high prices, bad sales and support as well. I would suggest to Avoid this company.

They ask to get visa card information in paypal

The system allow you purchase by paypal but need to get detail visa card. How weird was that?
I will use other system that does not get visa card information.

Strange service , paid for a subscription . Then they ask me to go through passport verification. What is it for? That 's why he 's a VPN service for anonymity , and give them a passport . Provided the document . But I was banned anyway. But the money was returned . After contacting support.

They are my first choice when it comes to proxy, my location is always perfect and the connection is way more faster.

I bought mobile proxies because they offer City and ASN targeting. When I tried to generate a New York T-Mobile proxy, I got an error:
You must choose between city targeting and ASN targeting, as they can't be used simultaneously.
Of course they didn't warn about this.
When I requested a refund, they refused. I hadn't spent a single kilobyte.
If you are looking for high-quality proxies, avoid this service.

I've used proxy services for years, but Decodo (formerly Smartproxy) pulled something I've never encountered before - and it should be illegal.

Here's what happened:

Created an account ✓
Paid for their service ✓
Tried to use the proxies I just paid for ✗
SURPRISE! Account locked for "KYC verification"

That's right - AFTER taking my money, they disabled my proxies and demanded I submit government ID and personal photos. Not before payment, not during signup, but AFTER they already had my cash.

When I contacted support (rightfully angry), they told me the "review process" would take 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS. So I paid for a service I can't use, while they hold both my money AND my personal documents hostage.

The Worst Parts:

-No warning about KYC requirements before payment

-They deliberately wait until AFTER you pay to spring this on you

Support admitted they "put my account under review after payment" (their exact words)

Can't use the service you paid for during their "1-2 business day review"

They're collecting sensitive personal data that wasn't disclosed as required upfront

For Context: I've used NordVPN, Bright Data, IPRoyal, and others - NONE of them pull this bait-and-switch tactic.

If you need KYC, you do it at signup, not after taking someone's money.

This feels like a data harvesting scheme wrapped in a proxy service.

Take people's money, force them to submit IDs to get their service working, and who knows what happens with that data.

Save yourself the headache and use literally any other proxy provider. At least they'll be upfront about their requirements instead of holding your paid service hostage.

UPDATE: They don't even have an official review platform. Wonder why? 🤔

After they take your money into their account, they suddenly ask for an ID, and you have to wait for days to get verified!! ⚠️ BE CAREFUL — THIS IS A BIG SCAM! It leaves you with a very bad experience!!!

The customer service has always been exceptional. Whenever I encounter issues related to operational errors, they always assist me in resolving them. I am deeply grateful to the customer service team

I mainly use Decode for their own custom internet browser, X Browser, to check our google ranking. it works great. few bugs sometime happens, but in general it works great.

Stupid company. Purchased IP to use for outreach. Asked for one IP to be changed and then they block me and demand for ID which I provide. Don’t waste your time with this JUNK!
