Poor customer service

I had ordered a length of cable not it arrived in 3 short lengths.
I was then told that I had to reorder and pay again and would eventually get a credit back.
So basically I was out of pocket for an error made by Denmans and was told that was the process so I had to suck it up.
One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had.
Fortunately the local branch has worked hard to try and resolve the matter.
Whoever is responsible for group customer service needs to join the 21st century and not try to blame the customer for Denmans error.

Tricked and lied too

I was lied to yesterday and tricked by a company that Denmans employ to get you to give a review of my local branch. I am furious and after holding an account with Denmans for 18 years. I am considering closing it over this deceitful manor of Denmans.

I was able to check stock in my local branch, order on line and collect the next day. all very smooth and trouble-free.

Tradesmen avoid the unreliable online shop!

I've used Denmans for a few years now and although they haven't been the cheapest around I've found the service from their Trafford branch to be top-notch. It's always been good getting a tailored service, and with every order I placed, they delivered in no time.

However, recently my online orders don't seem to have been coming from the branch. On top of that, they have been arriving in staggered deliveries up to 2 weeks apart with Rexel tape instead of Denmans, (same company). Being self-employed, and ordering items for jobs, this isn't workable for me.

my last order I ordered to be delivered to my home address for a job a few days later. A week passed with no delivery, and after speaking with someone on the phone a few days earlier, who assured me the delivery was on the way, I decided to phone the Trafford branch to follow up, who informed me that the items had been delivered there and that they wanted me to pick up.

Not only was this an inconvenience,... if I had the time to go and pick them up I would never have ordered online.... but I had to delay the job again, meaning an unhappy customer. Add to this, that if I hadn't phoned chasing, I would probably still be waiting for the delivery!

When I did pick the items up, on the invoice it had my delivery address as the destination, which was crossed out. why!?

to add insult to injury, I emailed the customer support email to vent my frustrations at this and a couple of other things that have happened lately, getting an automated response saying this would be looked at and someone would be in touch within 24 hours.

I guess that this response got sent to my address with my delivery... as I haven't heard a thing! The total lack of consideration for my business means I will now be using one of the other trade outlets available! Sorry Trafford branch, really not your fault!

I don't know what has happened with the company, but avoid the online shop at all costs if you are in the trade! It's shocking!

Absolute poor service at long Eaton click and collect

Absolute poor service at long Eaton, Nottingham.
Placed an online order for click and collect for 1 breaker, I then sent someone to go and get it and upon arriving the issues started.
Sorry there is no order on the system etc. under that name even thoe I had an email confirmation.
After around 30 minutes of chaos they found the order and I was then allowed to receive my £3.20 order.
It's not the staffs fault but poor communication and poor it infrastructure.
I will never use these again and that's a shame as pricing is good.

It took three deliveries to receive all…

It took three deliveries to receive all my order. I had to contact customer service, who were very good, each time to find out why I had not received my full order. One of the problems was I ordered online which is meant to make it easy, but it seems not.

Your order was being directed from our main stock warehouse over to our Denmans Ipswich branch, why it took three separate deliveries over four to five days to finally get the whole of your order out to you, this is something Denmans is looking into.

Denmans acknowledges there are some teething problems, with our main stock supply warehouse, but they are working tirelessly to get these issues resolved and it will lead to improved service levels.

Yes, you are right, using our online service should have made your whole experience a happy one, right up to when you received your order, this did not happen.

Customer service is our number one priority, Denmans are working very hard behind the scenes to get this right going forward.

I apologise for all the inconvenience caused to you.

Great service

Denmans Electrical BSE absolutely great service, if its not on the shelf always next day. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable in all items of stock the carry. I have never used any other supplier.
