Thanks for the review - its always helpful for us to get feed back - I have checked into your report and see that your report was loaded onto your private password protected portal for your attention within 24 hours of receiving your case - you should have (same day) received an electronic prescription (usually same day) to your email address - you should also have received an email alert to let you know your report was uploaded and available for you - I apologise if the system has not done all that - I will check it through with the IT team tomorrow - did you load up your correct email for us ? - meantime please check into your spam etc and log back into your secure portal - all the info is there waiting for you - best regards

Thank you - "quick and efficient" as you say - is good enough for me - in a world where the NHS access to expert Dermatology has a typical 1 year waiting list that is a great service we are offering - best of luck with your treatment plan - regards

diagnosis ?

I sent the money and photos asking the consultant what he thought was the cause of my infection.
the only reply i have received was a prescription with no explanation.
still none the wiser.

Thank you for your comments - I am sorry you found our report only partially helpful - I have checked into this and I will repeat here (excluding the name of the condition) what we actually wrote in our report to you (as well as providing the treatment plan) was as follows -

"The full name of this common problem is XXXXXXXXX – and yes, it is contagious from direct contact, towels, etc - so spread is common and needs to be minimised.
It can often spread around nurseries, schools, siblings, family members, etc.
In answer to your question - there is no need to take action unless the lesions are clearly evident on other family members - but be very observant.
Please research this on my website and on www.dermnetnz.org
Here is the treatment plan: . . . . . "

in my opinion this should have been sufficient information for you to delve into the deeper medical aspects of this problem is you so wished by researching this on the advised websites and elsewhere

but thank you for your feedback and best regards

Thank you - we aim to be quick and offer great value - the "much improved" element you mentions is of course condition-dependent and variable - but yes most skin conditions respond well to the correct diagnosis and treatment - best regards

Misdiagnosed

I explained that I believed I had fungal acne, but not much was mentioned about this in this response and I was given the diagnosis of rosacea and was told it may be seborrheic dermatitis as well. I'm 100% certain it's not seborrheic dermatitis so I'm not sure how this conclusion was made as it doesn't look anything like that and I don't have any symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis.

I explained that I had been diagnosed with rosacea a couple times in the past but that I've been using treatment for rosacea for nearly 2 years now and that the only treatment that has caused really significant improvement was when I used a treatment that's designed for fungal acne, however this treatment was extremely drying so not ideal and caused me to break out in the long term.

I was told a few different things that could help, but half of the things were things I had already explained that I'd tried with no improvement. When I responded saying that I wasn't satisfied I was essentially told that I'm wrong for being dissatisfied and that they're right.

Well, I've tried another treatment for fungal acne now and my skin has finally been clear for over a week. So, thank god I didn't take medication for something else that I don't have! Just frustrated as this is one of the many dermatologists that has misdiagnosed me and told me in confidence that what I have is what they are telling me I have when it was in fact not.

I am very happy that you are now recovering - your self diagnosis of "fungal acne" or pityrosporum folliculitis is a recognised situation and can be treated in a variety of ways - often a rotation policy is a good idea - lets hope your recent improvement is long-lasting and your dissatisfaction with more than one dermatologist (all of whom you feel are incorrect) is proved to be correct in the longer term - best of luck

Detailed and accurate report

I paid extra to receive the reply from the doctor in less than 48h, and that happened as expected, with a full report, with details and explanations. I was surprised in a good way. The result was accurate and correct.
Because I was trying to be in contact with my dermatologist (from Brazil) in parallel, and she confirmed the same, around a similar time, and her treatment was more simple, I decided to try that one first, and as it worked, I ended up not using the other one provided here. But I am sure that would be as effective.

It was a very quick response

It was a very quick response. For my skin problem. And has given me some other creams to use. I will need to probaly. Get in touch again soon. Once or if these creams work. I also think a biopsy would be good. But don’t know how to go about this. As I don’t know what else to do if this don’t work ( the creams ). But this is a very good service. And very quick to get back to me. Thank you.Regards tracy
