DFS French connection Camden sofa…
Bought French connection Camden sofa from DFS store in Inverness a couple of months ago and looks as though have had for years. Seats have gone baggy, foam does not go back into shape as it states under product information. Told to dress after every use, absolute joke! Would recommend avoiding. Have learnt an expensive lesson to never buy from this company again.
Failed delivery
Sofa was supposed to be delivered today, got a call at 5pm saying driver out of hours. I have family for Xmas who are now sat on the floor as old sofa was taken away this morning, no idea when will be delivered, no communication at all from DFS. Terrible service.

dfs was supposed to deliver my sofa on the 16th december got a text it will be the 18th i wasn’t to bother about that only two extra days .. on the day i got a text it will be delivered today in such and such a time , so i discarded my old sofa for the new one .. comes to 6:34 the lastest they could deliver and still not received the sofa , rung customer service and they said it’s because the driver had ran out of hours .. so it won’t be getting delivered tonight. now no sofa for me and my daughter to sit on .. and just got a text it will be monday now but i’m not getting my hopes up on that ! first and last time using dfs

Excellent Customer Service Resolved My Initial Concerns
We initially encountered a few issues with our sofa—a slight fault, damage during delivery and the need to return a footstool—so things didn’t get off to a great start. However, after some back-and-forth with various departments, I eventually got in touch with Steve Whitehead. He truly understood the challenges I was facing, and after some thoughtful consideration, we were able to reach a fair and amicable resolution.
Steve is a real asset to the company, and thanks to his help, I now have a beautiful sofa and feel that the issues were handled fairly. I’m happy to say I’m now a satisfied customer of DFS.
I've had my suite just a year
I've had my suite just a year, been fighting with DFS for six months, my suite looks ten years old one side of settee has sagged the manager said don't sit on that side that's one of many things wrong with the suit. Management and staff are rude and ignorant towards customers theres no empathy towards the customer.

We ordered a chair online which in the filtered photos looked great, as it was delivered it was clear the quality was shockingly bad (even got a comment from the delivery team about it) so we requested it was returned as it wasn’t worth £50 let alone the £500 we were being charged for it but we were then told that we had to send it back to somewhere a few hundred miles away and that we would have to either pay £150 to DFS to collect it or to cover the cost of sending it back ourselves (around £190).
It’s so sad to see what company’s like DFS have become and their complete disconnect from the customers and their satisfaction with the product.
We were basically told it’s our problem by the man we spoke to on the phone.
So now I guess we are going to have to give up £150 2 weeks before Christmas to get rid of the thing.
Will definitely be warning friends and family about DFS in the future.

Had my Sofa 2 months and the seat cushions are going flat, DFS advise that's the design and that there products are made to the highest industry standards. What a joke, even told me they'll replace the cushions for £70 a throw. 2 grand on sofas that won't even last us 6 months, already flipped the cushions 5 times since 23rd of September and I'm apparently out of my returns period, yeah right DFS, your having these back even if it means me plowing a truck through the shop front.
Going to be speaking with Citizens Advice, Which, the Creditors and the industry regulator and i will be going to the small claims court.

Had a great experience from start to end with DFS Carrickmines. Been there three times in the store and I was greeted by three different sale representatives that were extremely helpful and kind. Bought a combo of 3 sofas that were delivered in the agreed date.

Walked into the store and was greeted with a hard sale. Wasn't too bothered by it as we knew exactly what we wanted and was never going to bow to extras as in more money. My problem is after delivery. There's a fault with the sofa that should have been picked up by quality control or very least final inspection before delivery. Obviously Dfs doesn't have these as the faults on our sofa would've been picked up. Our issue is though, having e mailed the company twice as they didn't respond the first time only to be told "Don't keep e mailing us we're busy and if you persist you'll wait longer" Wish I knew this companys after sales attitude because I would have given them a wide berth.

Absolutely awful bought 3seater sofa and 2 seater sonda recliner. After 2 uses the recliner broke the sofa was few months old .it's been months now and still waiting for repair. Iv ad 3 cancellations now .you can't speak to a manager they just don't care. Took the day off work waiting for a delivery,given a 2 hour window for delivery,my husband received a missed call from delivery driver(I did not)15 mins later he tried to call back,no answer,they told us they tried to deliver,had a picture of my front door,but nobody knocked as I was at home with my 23 year old daughter at that time.Rang customer"support" and spoke to 2 very unsupportive employees,who had appalling attitudes not helpful at all,72 hrs before anyone can speak to you is a joke!!
After reading the reviews on here,there is an obvious trend,I can't believe a big company like DFS operates in such an unprofessional manner,I am now going to cancel my order,which will take 72 hrs before anyone will ring me back to go any further with this,can't even ring the store I bought it from,I am fuming!!!!
Ordered a dwell table chairs in July
Ordered a dwell table chairs in July. Came damaged, agreed to send another, delivery long and not accommodating, if you want a Saturday you will be waiting months, or taking a day off work.
Second table came, damaged again, sent a technician out this time, he agreed it was damaged, delaying things even more, agreed to another one being sent, again waiting weeks for Saturday.
Third table came, damaged again! By this time I had, had enough. Wanted it sent back with a full refund, in the mean time the boxing from each table was piling up, wincanton refused to take it back with the tables. Customer service was shocking all the way through!
Waited weeks again for the table and chairs to be collected, then to top it off, they argued with me about retuning it, stating that this didn’t come as a set and was sold separately, luckily I had my receipt, to prove it did come as a set, but still delaying things massively.
I will never go to DFS again!
This company needs shutting down!

Bad customer service
Ordered a sofa. Was given a delivery date. I said to the guy on the phone I could not accept delivery before 12:00 as I was having carpet put it. He said that we were the 7th drop so it would not be before 12:00. They knock on my door 10:00 with the sofa! They explained they could not come back and it was a failed delivery and they could not come back. Phoned customer service to explain I was told it would be after 12:00. They told me they wouldn’t have said that. They then told me they listened to the call log and that conversation never happened. So basically called me a lier! Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with! If I hadn’t put a deposit down I would have told them to stick there sofa!!
TERRIBLE SERVICE
Delivery date was today 30th November . I received two texts telling me to ring 01884849077 as needed to speak to me about my delivery. I tried the number but was told it didn’t exist ??? Rang DFS customer service spoke to someone who left me hanging whilst he found out what was happening. Came back with explanation that apparently the courier company had not turned up at the warehouse . He didn’t know why the telephone number didn’t work and assured me that someone from the warehouse would ring me very quickly as in his words “they are very good “ . I had to ring the customer service again and the guy said his colleague shouldn’t have told me they would ring so soon . Just sometime today . So I’m sitting here with no furniture to sit on not knowing what’s going on . I have family coming today and I have nothing for them to sit on and I’m fuming . I have waited since 4 October for this sofa to be made and got regular updates until now . They have had full payment so I will be making a complaint for compensation if they can’t deliver my sofa PDQ

Absolutely shocking, We ordered our sofa on 4th September! in the shop we were discussing whether we should go for the orka in a standard or the recliner option, We went for the recliner as it was 30cm shorter than the standard, this meant we had more room to get through the door in our Livingroom. I asked many times in person and over the phone if they were the same size but the recliner was just shorter. i was told yes every time and asked if the cushions were going to be on for delivery, again told they were removable and yes they could take them off to help deliver. we then waited 6 weeks, each time we got closer to the delivery date they would then add on another 10 days. delivery day finally arrives low and behold it wont go through the door, this is because the recliner sofa the cushions do not come off and are in fact a part of the back of the sofa, as you can see, fitting a 90cm x 90cm x 200cm through a 84cm door wasn't going to happen. I went to the store to discuss the next steps they said our only option was to order the standard and sacrifice the 30cm of extra space. We did this they refunded the difference. we were told 2nd December delivery (long but we would manage) then told it would be the 10th. today i have now been told 20th. i am at my wits end! i want a sofa! i have recently had spinal surgery hence the need for a more supportive sofa. i am in pain and my back is getting worse from the crappy cold fake leather loana sofa they have provided, i will not be using them again. and i recommend others steer clear.

“We purchased 2 sofas a year ago very quickly is was apparent they were really poor quality. We rejected them after 3 months via our consumer rights. They sent a service manager out who said it was our fault they were mishapen and we need to plump them more - for approx 15 mins a day! Long story short after he visited again and realised there was no way of ‘re stuffing’ these saggy sofas as there was no easy zip to get in and out of the inner. The bottom had to be ripped out of one sofa by him. The sofa had more stuffing put in that is now misshapen again. After another complaint and a 7 days notice they have said nothing else will be done. Given their track record it is time they were taken to court which is now our intention.
