Absolutely awful customer service from…

Absolutely awful customer service from DFS Basildon. We have 2 wing back chairs that have BOTH split on the arms in the same place. One chair has already been repaired as it happened within 6 months of purchase. Now the same has happened again. But be cause we are 3 months after the warranty has expired. We are expected to pay for the replacement parts. SHABBY SERVICE!!!!! Shame on you DFS. Buyers beware…… order number 59ZXG3990

BEWARE

after spending £3700 on a 3 and 2 seater sofas 9 months ago which we were told were made to last, top of the range, built to last etc, we noticed the 3 seater starting to sag badly after 6 month and we are normal size not overweight, so we got our £300 extra cover brochure out this morning, and in black and white says things covered < FOAM excessive loss of resilience of interior foam, so you fill out a form and they ask for a photo,, then next day you receive a phone call of a guy who it seems his job is to get out of doing anything about it, he reverts to the bottom of the policy< things not covered< general wear and tear< don t sit there , put some scatter cushions etc, total con and waste of £300,,

Not fit for purpose

DFS Kian sofa bed is a lovely sofa, but not fit for purpose as a sofa bed, more like a torture device.
I can only assume the reviews on the DFS trust pilot that is inaccessible are Bots. Really awful experience. I really don't recommend.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

Avoid this company. Don’t spend money to them. Their product are very poor and they are liars as service. Awful customer service. I buy from them bed and mattress and we received bed without mattress, I was pregnant and in a new house and I payed money to have both of them in time and we received mattress after month. I was forced to sleep at our friends Home for a month. We made order a sofa 2 and we received one of them, the second after a month. We received the second after a month and it was wrong product. 🙈🙈🙈 we received the correct one after other month so totally 2 month. All this without any compensation unacceptable .AVOID THEM

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. I purchased an online order in mid July with an estimated delivery of 6th of Aug. This date is still showing on the tracker. Still hasn't arrived 6 weeks later and everytime I ring, they say they still have no update on my order and can't tell me when it's like to arrive!

The worst experience I have ever had!!
I feel I’ve spent half my days on the phone to DFS and I’m still in the same position. They do sweet flip all! Waited so long to get the bed, delivered it and can’t even use it as doesn’t assemble properly due to faults. Making no effort to amend their mistake and doing nothing when requested a refund. I ended up contacting humm as got on finance as dfs were doing nothing. Please please please do not give this company your money!!! They will constantly reassure you on the phone that they will sort things but they never do, what a shambles!!

Reoccurring problem not satisfied

Reoccurring problem with sofa over 4 years that never got repaired following multiple technician visits. Slow and tedious customer service. Time wasted. I do not recommend DFS for product quality or customer service. Shop elsewhere.

good money not well spent

spent thousands on a sofa which they told me at the time there was a 15 years garentee, so the middle of my three seater their is stitches coming away now they have just told me you only get a 2 years garentee if stitches come away, be very aware.

GO TO THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT

I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am with my experience with DFS Ireland. This is not a company that values its customers or their time. I ordered a simple piece of furniture over a year ago, and it has been a nightmare from start to finish.

The customer service is atrocious. Dealing with their call center is like pulling teeth. They are unhelpful, dismissive, and seem completely uninterested in resolving your issues. The technicians they send out are equally unreliable, often failing to show up or providing incorrect information.

The entire process is incredibly time-consuming and stressful. You'll find yourself taking multiple days off work to accommodate their technicians, only to be met with more delays and excuses. It's a constant battle to get what you've paid for.

The only way I was able to finally receive a working product was by taking DFS to Small Claims Court. This should not be necessary for such a simple purchase but I am glad I did.

If you're considering buying from DFS Ireland, please reconsider. Save yourself the headache and frustration by shopping elsewhere or else just go straight to the Small cLaims Court.

Don’t buy from them

I ordered my leather recliner Rzon for chair, back in July. DFS were very good sorting out my VAT refund getting Me updates on when I could expect my chair. As the delivery date the 10th of September drew closer. I is getting really excited. Dfs gave me a time when my chair would arrive on the 10th between 3 and 4 pm and then. I had a voice message from the delivery people telling me my chair hadn’t even arrived at their depot yet and it wouldn’t arrive until the 19th of September the delivery date was now cancelled. how can a company of this si sighs , such a diabolical error. I’m a disabled guy in my 70s. I got rid of my old recliner on the Sunday, the 8th of September. I’m now sat on the floor with a cushion in constant pain with my back because of this absolute muck up. I rang DFS and spoke to a customer service person they didn’t really know what to say and said perhaps a manager would phone me at sometime here we are on the 10th of September waiting for that elusive call from their so-called manager. I will never ever buy from DFS again the customer service is absolutely appalling.

Actually I want to put 0 star. We had bad experiences from DFS few times.When we confirmed our sofa sets to buy, we were told that one set of selected sofas is for express delivery for 2 weeks.So they told us whenever we want to get our sofa, we need to do the payment just 2 weeks before the moving date to the new house using the link when we confirmed it. They told us we can come and do the payment 2 weeks before moving to the new house after the drawdown to get the delivery in 2 weeks as we planned to take it in instalment payment method.Once we finished drawdown we went there to do the payment and they told us that now that sofa set does not have express delivery so we need to wait 12-15weeks once we finish the payment. We told them we got the link we booked this sofa and we set everything on the colour based on the colour of this sofa.We asked them then why you guys did not informed as that they are taking off the express delivery for that particular sofa.They told us they dont know they dont have any express delivery for that sofa now. Then when we enquired the staff who we discussed and send the link for payment to us,They told us that she already resigned and left from the shop.It means such they are providing such bad kind of irresponsible response and service. About another sofa we paid advance already had issues with delivery date. when we track the details we can see that they were changing delivery date frequently.When we asked them why it is like this and its already more than 12 weeks, They told us if we don't want it we can cancel it but you wont get the money back.Still we are waiting for both sofas.we booked it in June.The problem is we cant cancel the oreder because we will loose our booking payment and again if we go to another shop they might need another few weeks to deliver it.So we might loose our money and time again becuase of DFS.So please don’t trust them for their delivery date.

Avoid DFS Brigg.

Problems with the new suite we purchased from DFS Brigg

Very poor quality furniture for the price paid. I have been advised that our furniture is held together with staples and glue.
No wonder it’s coming apart. Repaired at our home with drilled holes and screws.
DFS Brigg customer service are useless. Nothing but lies and excuses.
I thought the ombudsman would assist us. Not so. They say DFS have repaired the furniture. Not completely accurate.
As there is still a fault with the sofa.

As a last resort I have today had a telephone conversation with DFS Glasgow. At least Glasgow we’re receptive and professional
Depending on that outcome will determine our next course of action.

Dean contacted me from DFS Doncaster which I believe is the HO.
DFS won’t offer a refund or replacement and insists on yet another repair.
A repair man is scheduled for the 12/09/24.
The problematic settee is not even a year old. And it’s in worse condition than the 20 year old settee it has replaced.
Already the springs are starting to wear through the top cover. There is hardly any padding on top of the springs.
We will see what the repair man suggests.

Just wish we had bought our furniture somewhere else and saved ourselves a lot of unnecessary hassle.

I am really amazed that the ombudsman (Amy) would not hold DFS accountable.

Dean arrived. Long story short.
Dean has ordered additional padding and felt which will be placed on top of the springs. Hopefully this will stop the springs wearing through the top felt. The damaged top felt will also be replaced.
Expected delivery date is 6 weeks or sooner.
So if we are still unhappy with the furniture after yet another repair. We will have to take DFS to a small claims court.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

AVOID THIS COMPANY! Sofas have wonky uneven stitching. Baggy poorly fitting seat cushions. Rock hard foam like sitting on concrete. Ordered online and now have to pay £150 for them to collect and return it. Absolutely shocking service.

dishonest business, it is a deception of the buyer for money.

Order:TBZKBKZZI. A month and a half ago I bought a sofa bed for a studio apartment for two people. The sofa was delivered, but it turned out that it was impossible to sleep on it. The parts that make up the sofa bed are not fixed to each other and move apart with any movement in sleep. I contacted the DFS management, they sent their technician to check the technical malfunction. The technician gave his verbal conclusion that this "sofa bed" cannot be used functionally as a bed for sleeping. That it is only a sofa for resting. But in the description/title when selling online, this product was called a "sofa bed". In the photo on the website, the sofa folded out of three parts as a double bed for sleeping.
That's why I bought this sofa bed online. I called the office in Dublin. A woman, an employee of the DFS company, answered. She spoke to me in an extremely familiar and vulgar manner. She started the conversation by saying that the sofa bed I bought was perfect for my apartment, that it was excellent furniture, without any technical problems. Then she went on to say that it was only my imagination and whim that prevented me from looking at this "wonderful sofa bed". She also stated that I have no rights as a buyer, only obligations. And if, this woman said, because of my whims and fantasy I want to return the "beautiful sofa bed" to the store, then I must pay 195 euros for the return.
I spent 2100 euros on a sofa bed (paid 195 € for delivery) that is not functionally usable, and now they are asking me for 195 euros for its return. This is a very good business for the DFS, to sell a non-functional product to a buyer, and then demand almost 200 euros for its return! These are "wonderful rules" for the DFS business, you can produce nothing, but sell the same non-functional product to a circle of buyers. and have a good profit for the delivery and return of a non-functional product 195 € + 195 euros = 390 euros out of nowhere!
This is a very dishonest business, it is a deception of the buyer for money.

DFS LOW QUALITY CRAP AT EXTORTIONATE €€

I paid €3000 for two sofas from DFS (foolish me). I have had issues from the start. I have spent the last 8 months since 4th Dec 2023 arguing my case, for them to say they will take them back but are going to charge me a €600 usage fee!!! I never heard the likes of it. I only got them mid Oct 2023.
These sofas are of the lowest grade materials they are worn and look 10 years old not months.
Pure GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY.
Anyone who works for this company should be totally ashamed of themselves.

Worst experience of my life

Ordered a sofa from dfs a few weeks ago and paid nearly 3 grand upfront, recieved a call today telling me my order was cancelled even though they still have my money, asked to speak to a manager on phone and the sales agent hung up on me! Never ever will i deal with this scam of a place again! Buyers beware!

Disappointed

Went looking on 9th Aug 24 explained I needed sofa's asap and the staff were very helpful and showed me which ones were on 7 days delivery promo So I was expecting to receive them by the 16th after completing the order they said lead time had been changed to the 22nd, never came tracking on website said 27th . Still not arrived and no call or text to explain why . Will never buy from them again . Service before you sign agreement is excellent after you sign it is appalling

Won’t refund for a damaged sofa on arrival

Worst furniture store I’ve ever dealt with.couch arrived ripped in two places.i reported it that day. No response .called to store for over 2 moths for answers but no one there that could deal with it only the manager who was never there.eventually when I asked for a refund they said no because I have it three months chasing a refund or answers!!!!!…. Manager said he ordered parts that cost 300 euro and it would be like new when they put the parts on!!! Who want parts for a new couch
