I wish I had read these reviews before hiring this company. My end of lease clean was rescheduled to the following day due to “another job running over”. At the meeting time I waited over an hour and no one turned up. Eventually I found a phone number and they gave me the run around, told me some story about why it was running late and said the cleaner was on their way. I ended up after a few calls to them to get the person who was doing the cleans phone number. When I called her she told me she had only been given the job an hour prior to my call. When she did turn up, by this time it was 4 hours after the initial start time. I by this time cancelled the job with Dirt2Tidy and offered to pay the cleaner directly as she had also been given the run around by this company. They did an ok job, but did not steam clean the carpets, only used a dry carpet shampoo. I ended up having to go back to do a couple of little jobs they missed. I have written a previous review and the D2T reply was we have no record of the job in our system. I dont believe they operate out of Australia as the phone ring sounds like an overseas ring, I know this because I call overseas quite often. Australian calls do not ring like that. Find a better company. Ask your real estate agent who they recommend. It might be more money but to save yourself the stress it’s worth it.

From the beginning, we’ve been supportive, offering a re-clean and working with you to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to carry out the re-clean, despite our willingness to assist. Additionally, we refunded half of your payment as a gesture of goodwill.

We also provided before-and-after photos showcasing the drastic difference in the cleaning results, which we believe highlighted the efforts made on our part. While we understand your frustrations, you also reached out to Fair Trading, but the claim was not deemed legible, as the situation was not entirely fair from your side.

After these efforts, we came to a fair agreement. It is disappointing to see a review, especially after everything was done to reach an amicable resolution.
We remain committed to providing excellent service and hope that future experiences reflect that.

Do not use Dirt2Tidy

We were so disappointed with this service and would strongly recommend avoiding at all cost.

We had a small two bedroom apartment and organised an end of lease clean with additional steam cleaning of the carpets. The cleaners turned up with next to nothing in terms of cleaning equipment which was the first red flag. We then had to get the company to send different cleaners back a second time as there was so much missed including basic stains from the carpet which we were able to get out ourselves afterwards using a basic soda and water scrub. Even after the second clean it was less than sufficient.

I informed the company of this and the fact we had to pay our real estate agent’s cleaners to rectify the clean and got a very unhelpful response asking again if they could come back to rectify, instead of compensating for their incompetence. Do not use this company for your end of lease clean as this was over $400, when we could have done a better job ourselves if we had the time.

Extremely Unprofessional and Unreliable – Avoid DIRT2TIDY

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with DIRT2TIDY. Initially, I called and described my house over the phone, and they emailed me a quote without seeing the property. I repeatedly asked if someone needed to inspect the site, especially since I have very large windows. They insisted it wasn’t necessary but agreed to an appointment.

I waited 30 minutes past the scheduled time with no update. When I called, I was told the appointment had been cancelled—without any notice to me. I again stressed the importance of a site inspection to avoid surprises. She then said someone could come in the afternoon. I said I wouldn’t be home but they were welcome to walk around the property, and she agreed.

After that, I never heard from them. I emailed to cancel and explained that I found the service very unprofessional. She responded saying the quote would remain the same even after the inspection—which clearly hadn’t been done.

Later, I decided to go ahead with a smaller job (just bathrooms and windows). I told them how many of each, got a new quote, and booked it in. On the day of the clean, I was told the worker had car trouble and it was rescheduled for the next day.

When the worker finally arrived, I was told the company had made an error in the quote. I reminded them that they had supposedly inspected the site already. Eventually, they admitted they had not done the inspection and had lied. They then increased the price by over $400—completely unreasonable and dishonest.

DIRT2TIDY is disorganized, unreliable, and unprofessional. I would not recommend them to anyone. Steer clear.

You originally requested a full house clean, for which we provided a clear and detailed quote based on the information you shared. After accepting the quote, the job was rescheduled a couple of times at your request—and we accommodated every change patiently.
You later cancelled the full-service booking and came back asking only for window and bathroom cleaning, specifying 30 windows and 5.5 bathrooms during your call. Based on that, we revised your quote and locked in the job without asking for a deposit or prepayment—just to make it easier for you.

Let’s also not forget—this was a brand new home being vetted, and we wanted to give you the best possible cleaning result. We offered a massive discount, treated the job as non-profit work, and took the additional steps to ensure your project wasn’t delayed.


When our team arrived, they discovered 35 windows and 6 bathrooms, including glass around the pool area that was not previously mentioned. To avoid any confusion, we paused the job and informed you of the extra work and additional charges before proceeding. We believe that’s fair and honest, especially when we’re being asked to complete more than originally agreed.
Regarding the reschedule—yes, our cleaner couldn’t attend on the original day due to heavy rain, which would have made external window cleaning ineffective. That decision was made with your best interest in mind, not as an excuse.
Throughout this process, we maintained constant communication, responded promptly, and showed patience and flexibility. You’ve chosen to post the same review across multiple platforms rather than coming to us directly to resolve the matter. That’s disappointing, especially after all our efforts to assist.
If you’re genuinely looking for a resolution, we’re always open to a fair and respectful discussion. But let’s not beat around the bush—we’ve acted in good faith from the beginning.

It is ashamed i cannot give 0 stars…

It is ashamed i cannot give 0 stars because what i paid for a massive clean job, it looks like no cleaning was done. They used MY cleaning products, didn't even have a proper vacuum cleaner, or other equipment's.. and products!
The level of their expectations was so low that the the word CLEAN, was simply from another planet.
They simply don't know what clean is.
Please stay away from this company.

In Answer to Dirty2 cleaning

1) Arriving on site 10,45 Am both morning.
2) No cleaning, no equipment, just an old chip vacuum and they also they just damaged one of my expensive lamps.
3) they have been using my cleaning products and they left the second day the property open to go some where. Luckily I went there to check and find the door opened of a very expensive property.
We will bring this company to Court as we have Photos of their equipment and what they have done and damages procured to the property.
It Is ashamed that such a company can freely operating in Australia and scam people so easy.
We also report to Consumer Affair.
We wasted 1000 dollars of deposit for nothing!
and when we asked them to leave they refused to, it forced us to ask help of one of our neighbours.
Very scary.

Let’s set the record straight.

On the first day of cleaning, you clearly acknowledged that the job was done well. Yet the very next day, our team was asked to leave the property without explanation and without being given a fair chance to complete or rectify anything. If you were truly dissatisfied, you had every opportunity to reach out — but you didn’t.

You’ve claimed we used your cleaning products — that’s completely false. Our professional cleaners are always fully equipped with their own commercial-grade supplies, which are specifically suited for after-builders cleaning — the service you booked with us. A general-purpose product from Bunnings isn’t sufficient for this type of detailed work. We do not use customer-supplied chemicals under any circumstances, and to suggest otherwise is entirely misleading.

From the initial site inspection to the booking and follow-ups, we have been proactive, responsive, and transparent. At no point did we ignore your messages or fail to return a call. In fact, we made multiple attempts to contact you after your sudden cancellation, and you chose not to respond or work toward a solution.

Had there been any valid concern, we would have gladly sent a different team or organized a re-clean — as is standard in our process. But instead of allowing us to resolve the matter, you cut off communication and then chose to leave a misleading public review, which is both unfair and dishonest and with regards to payment your Invoice is still pending .

We stand by the effort and professionalism of our team. We’re still open and willing to complete the service as originally agreed. But stopping the job midway and refusing any form of engagement doesn’t reflect a service issue — it reflects a lack of cooperation from your side.

This was an after builders clean, which is always done in two stages:
1. A full deep clean to remove post-construction dust, debris, and residue.
2. A detailed secondary clean focusing on finishes like rangehoods, paint marks, fittings, and final presentation.
You refused our team the chance to complete the detailing phase. At that point, over 27 hours of combined labor had already been completed at your property.

What’s more troubling is this: you've not even paid half the quoted amount, and yet over 80% of the work was completed. You stopped the service mid-way, denied us access, and are now using false accusations to justify withholding payment. It appears that your intention may be to avoid paying while extracting most of the work — which is unacceptable and unethical because our before and after (80% work) pictures speak for itself

Damage Allegation:
You mentioned damage to a lamp — yet you never reported it to us, nor provided any photographic evidence. If there was any genuine issue, our insurance and claims process was available to you — but again, you refused to engage.


It’s clear that you are using this public platform to deliberately defame our business in an attempt to deflect from your outstanding payment obligations — a tactic that is not only dishonest but malicious in intent
We are still ready to complete the service for you as originally agreed. But cutting off communication, blocking our team, and then leaving a defamatory and dishonest review is not only unfair — it reflects poorly on your conduct.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM

This must be one of the worst services I've ever had! I really wish I'd listened to those bad reviews. The cleaners showed up on time, but they were dirty themselves. And get this – they wanted more money just to clean areas I'd already asked for! The quality of their work was okay in some parts, but overall, it was nowhere near what I expected for the price I paid. Don't bother booking with these guys – save yourself the trouble!

So unprofessional to deal with. Lots of hidden additional cost that the company originally implied were included in the original quote. Dealt with contract cleaners on the day of clean who were rude and unprofessional. I had the our realestate agent review the clean after it was completed and the littlest task such as cleaning the taps and vacuuming the floors were not completed. Company had to return to reclean the apartment and still then we had to go back ourselves and finish some aspects properly. I would not waste my money

Quite frankly the worst, and most unprofessional service I have ever had to deal with.
Don’t waste your time.
Cleaners booked and paid to show on moving day, I was provided with no confirmation in the lead up to the day and after 3 follow up calls I had a text directly from a cleaner (not the company) offering to assist. Problem was the earliest she could arrive was 4 hours later requiring me to rearrange interstate travel to provide access to apartment (and missed a flight, had to pay for a hotel overnight-nightmare with a small child). I called sobbing to explain my disappointment with the service and was sent an email with a lot of synonyms for apology. No offer of compensation was offered for the break of agreement and complete lack of concern or follow-up.
It doesn’t stop there.
After things were missed a re clean was booked- no service arrived at scheduled time. My bond has been withheld because of this fact and I have lost now thousands or dollars- all because I paid in advance and trusted that integrity was a given.

Not a genuine service and certainly not a trustworthy one.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK! DIRT2TIDY IS A SCAM!
I wish I could go back in time and read these reviews prior to booking. If you are reading this right now then I promise you, do not invest your money here, they will continue to disappoint customers. I had a horrible experience when they 'cleaned' my home before my end of lease. Anybody could do a better job at cleaning than the 'Professional cleaners' these guys hirer. After doing a terrible job at just the basics, they refused to give me a refund and then after pursing matter further they just went ghost and stopped replying to calls and emails. I don't know how they are still getting away with running this business but please do your research before investing. I hope you find a cleaner that will do the upmost best job for you and your home.

Cannot express how bad this company us in everyway

Would give negative stars if possible.

Didn't turn up on day planned, eventually did very poor cleaning job (a child would be better), took $600 we had to pay upfront but we lost rental bond due to poor clean.
Ignored 3 months of attempted contact.

Appalling unprofessional company.
20 + emails they ignore everything (but yet I'm sure they reply on here telling me to contact them to try and look good)

Response : if you mean what you say reply to my 20+ emails. I've wasted enough money calling you for nothing (as moved abroad). You replied once in May saying your manager would contact us but still waiting despite me chasing at least 5+ times since

PLEASE DONT USE THIS COMPANY TO GET ANYTHING CLEANED.
They are not professional. They don't care about their customers, only your hard earned money.
i worked for them for a little while & what I was told from the head of the company will clearly shock you.
They do'nt have any security procedures or any proper police checks when they hire people, no work experience refernces are asked for or even checked. So the people that they send out to you are nothing more then a big risk.
they instruct their workers, some not even understanding english very well to just not return real estate keys to real estates if the customer hasn't paid for the job they are sent too.
This is not in the workers job description and the only person responsible for real estate keys are the workers that have signed them out, who gets into trouble if they are not returned on time? Thats correct, the worker, not the company boss.
EXTREMELY SHADY COMPANY NOT ONE THING PROFESSIONAL ABOUT DIRT2TIDY.
AS A PROFESSIONAL CLEANER I CARE ABOUT THE WORK I DO & I was constantly told i took too long doing the jobs they sent me too. They were always trying to instruct me on ways to short cut cleans.
i told them I would stay until I knew the job was done to the best of my ability not your shady short cut tricks.

Would Never Use Again

They failed to turn up at the appointed time, after calling them, they said would have to move appointment to the next day, They did show up the next day but were 30 minutes late, halfway through the quoted job they called to say they wanted more money, reluctantly we paid as we had to hand the keys back. After the agent inspected there were still many things still to be completed, they agreed to go back and finish, however still did not do some of the work. After this we decided not to bother getting them back a 3rd time.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Do not use.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This is the most unprofessional company I have dealt with.

I booked an end of lease clean. The cleaner failed to attend at all on the scheduled date, with no notice. I waited for an hour and then left. I then rescheduled it for the next day and he was again late with no apology. He left the property unlocked without advising. Not only that, he failed to actually clean anything. He did not vacuum, the kitchen was filthy, and all glass and mirrors were left dirty.

I requested a re-clean, which they also failed to attend as scheduled until the following day. They also did not fix any of the issues identified by the real estate agent.

They are now refusing to provide a refund. I am escalating the issue and will be taking legal action.

EDIT TO ADD: in response to their reply, I have been emailing the company for weeks and they refuse to provide a refund despite me providing them with images of the incomplete work and evidence of the mess left behind. Poor form to privately ignore my correspondence and post publicly that they take customer satisfaction seriously.

Do not be fooled by the recent fake five star reviews.

DO NOT USE! SCAM!! Showed up 3 hours late. Poor exit clean which had to be redone. Services I paid extra for (cleaning blinds) were not carried out at all. Then when the next cleaner came to redo the job they didn't return the keys!! These are not professional cleaners with professional equipment. Caused additional stress during an already stressful move and charged for work they didn't do. Pretty sure they used to be called Dirty2Clean but probably changed their name to dodge poor reviews.
