Bigotry and Prejudice from the Delivery Driver

The packages were delivered on time but the delivery driver initially refused to deliver them to the front door. Despite me clearly being unable to carry anything as I was on crutches with a broken leg, the delivery driver stated it wasn’t his job. I asked him again and he said he’d carry the package but only if I said “Pretty please”.

Although I stated I‘d already said please, he told me it wasn’t enough - laughing at me he again told me it had to be “Pretty please”. Since there wasn’t any way I could carry the package upstairs while on crutches I asked again with the demanded expression of “Pretty please.”

This was a customer experience that no one should be subjected to, let alone a customer unable to walk who was awaiting disability aids.

This was nothing more than bigotry and prejudice directed at someone who couldn’t respond.

Mums shoes

I could not have found a more helpful assistant.
She was very understanding, polite and kind.
She pointed me in the right direction and my mum has now got the exact right shoes and slippers.

I hesitated for some time about buying…

I hesitated for some time about buying a walker for myself. Lots of research into the best types to suit navigating the ups and downs around my yard. I found a walker with ten inch front wheels on the Disability Shop and purchased the walker.
After a slight hiccup, Allan sorted everything quickly and I received my walker.
It has become my bestie!

I followed a link on the website to a selected product, when adding to basket a different part number item was unknowingly added and I ordered it, once arrived I discovered the wrong product and the part number was different again to what showed on invoice and what was ordered. I then only got refunded cost of item and not including postage and I had to pay return postage for an item that I did not order. Disgraceful situation. Would not recommend to anyone

Obviously you are frustrated and annoyed about whats happened here. As are we.

We do our best to minimise errors when customers are ordering online, but in this instance despite our best efforts this terrible situation exists. You are unhappy and we have had our reputation tarnished.

You have told us that you thought you were ordering a 3 wheel walker - you ordered a 4 wheel walker.

I guess the old saying "a picture paints a thousand words" holds true here.

At every step of your purchasing decision an image was clearly displyed to you - even in the shopping cart. The image was the 4 wheel walker that your ordered.

With regards to the refund - the value of the refund and terms to which you needed to comply were accepted by you via email. If you had concerns you could have easily raised them prior to the walkers return and refund - unless you paid as little attention to the return transaction as you did to the original ordering process.

Allan and his team were extremely helpful in supporting us with our purchase, and even more important when we had a few issues they didn't hesitate to quickly resolve the problems even though were on the other side of the country in WA.
Very professional service and we whole heartedly recommend Disability Shop
