Absolutely the best shoes and such good…

Absolutely the best shoes and such good customer service.
3 friends and I bought shoes from here and they are such good quality and value for money plus super comfortable. There was a small issue with one and they fixed and returned it so quickly, customer service was amazing throughout too.

Can’t wait to buy many more pairs from here!

No communication on refund after various emails

Trainers were returned to, and received by DIVERGE on Tuesday, July 11. Two emails were sent ever since asking for a status update re: the refund - no response and no refund.

The trainers were returned due to size not being the correct. Cannot speak to their level of comfort, but both materials and manufacturing seemed of high quality.

Thank you for your message. See the below addressing your points.

The client should not feel the need to follow-up on a refund at all. DIVERGE received the trainers on July 11, and 10 days and two emails later 1) had yet to initiate the verification process, which should be performed immediately upon reception to ensure it accurately reflects the condition at that time 2) did not have the professional conduct to provide an update when solicited (response times in previous communications were considerably shorter, as you rightly pointed out).

It is within the client´s right to return items ordered, provided such takes place within the pre-specified time window. This was the case. After receiving a pair of shoes too large - despite your guidance with size selection - I communicated the situation. DIVERGE were presented with three options: a) refund b) exchange for a new pair (which I could have order anyway!) to be deliver at the SAME address in Portugal but at a later date (DIVERGE cannot really complain of lack of flexibility on my end, since this option meant going without a paid pair of trainers for a few months) - DIVERGE went back & forth with their decision on whether this would be an acceptable option leading to c) if sending the trainers to the address in PT at a later date was too cumbersome, the last options would be to refund or shipping the trainers to other address outside of PT. DIVERGE CHOSE to send the trainers to the address outside of PT and ACCEPTED to cover the costs in case of return. DIVERGE could have simply accepted the return and refund me. I was very clear from the beginning what the options were and offered flexibility within those options. DIVERGE made an informed decision, and should now bear the consequences of its decision. That is the professional thing to do.

Having received a second pair too large, I solicited a return label. It took a few emails with DIVERGE offering options that would avoid the return, until a return label was finally sent. The origin address was incorrect, so a new label had to be requested.

All in all, 3 months have elapsed since the original order was placed. This is an exceedingly long time and amount of energy for what ultimately is the purchase of a pair of trainers.

It is unfortunate that the only exceptions to your speedy response times coincided with requests for clarity re: a refund. It is what it is though.

Let us start by apologising for not replying to the emails you sent 6 and 3 days ago. We should have replied saying that your sneakers had been received and were waiting to be verified so we could initiate the refund process.

Giving that we did not reply quickly, we have decided to refund you even though we have not gone through our internal process of verifying the integrity of your sneakers. You should have received the return notification by now.

We would also like to address the statement that we might not be an honest company. There is only one negative review regarding late refunds that we have replied, explained and solved. We are reviewing our processes so cases like yours and the referred review do not occur again.

In our opinion, our interactions with you show our integrity as a company - we made you an extra pair as an exchange for your order, we shipped it to a different country per your request and, as per your final wish, we sent the return label on the 16th of June (and did receive your sneakers on the 11th of July). To the exception of your two last emails - which we should have replied quicker explaining the situation - we worked hard to provide an excellent service to you as our customer.

As a company in its early stages but with big ambitions, we will continue to work as hard as we can to please our customers and to improve continuously.

You are absolutely right - we took too long to either process your return or to provide an update. You, as our client, are not to blame. We apologised in our first reply and apologise again.

Regarding what we referred about the process of your order, all we were trying to do was to show that we stood by our commitment to you as our customer and we are a honest company, having only failed in the recent lack of response in due time. To the exception of the latter, if we were to do it all over again, we would try as best as we could to make you a happy DiVERGE customer, as we have been able to make with thousands of customers.

At this point, and as a way to make up for what happened and put this issue to rest with a positive conclusion, we would like to offer you a free pair of sneakers. Hopefully, we will solve your sizing issue this time around. If not, you can offer them to someone you think would like a pair. Let us know if you accept our offer so we can send you the code via email.

beautiful but extremely uncomfortable

beautiful but extremely uncomfortable. i find them far too painful to wear. a very sad waste of money on a lovely looking useless pair of sneaks.

Happier than I expected to be

Communication was great throughout the order process and the shoes arrived sooner than I expected and look better than I imagined. The tidiest packaging (including the outer shipping envelope!) for a pleasure to unbox and a satisfying reveal (the anticipation is part of the fun of a custom order, right?). They look and feel (and smell) even better than I expected. Great attention to materials and construction, down to the small details—butter smooth; a little stiff, but I look forward to wearing them in.

then they contacted me as they have mis-priced the product so they can't sell it with that price.
They want me to cancel my order.
I asked them to cancel it but no refund yet!
For about 3 weeks.

Let me try to explain the situation. We had a temporary problem in our pricing system when you ordered your sneakers. Instead of costing 3750 Turkish Lira (corresponding to €175), it assumed 175 Turkish Lira (which corresponds to around €8).

We got in contact with you explaining that we could not handcraft your custom sneakers and send them to Turkey for around €8 and asked you if we could come to an understanding (we even offered a 20% discount to own up to our responsibility).
You did not want to discuss it so we decided to cancel your order. We are a start up trying to reward our suppliers adequately and to make our premium sneakers as affordable as possible but we could not make yours for only €8.

Regarding your refund, we have just checked your process and you should have received by now an email proving that the refund of €8 has been requested.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Lovely design and great service, small sized shoes indeed!

I love the design and craftmanship of these shoes. I did get a pair that was too small, but the costumer service helped my out immediately. The bigger size i received, one size above my normal size, still is quite small though, I hope they will adjust in time. If they do, I am sure I will order new pairs in the future. Super friendly and swift service and beautiful quality product!

Great experience

Great experience: checking size chart makes sense (usually I wear one size smaller) - the fit is perfect! Leather is smooth and beautifully crafted and the colour is just awesome! Pleasant customer service on top - 100 % recommendation!

Amazing experience, perfect match, lovely sneakers

1) Joanne was so helpful to decide on the sizing, we've chatted back in forth until the right measure was chosen. And even after this they said that it is possible to change the size in case they will not fit.
2) I've customized my own sneakers and they arrived in about 13 calendar days with DHL delivery in Moldova. I was amazed to receive them so quickly!
3) once received the size matched me perfectly, the colour was so bright, they are of ideal quality and identical as in pictures on the site or tutorials on Instagram.
They are slightly wide fit, but that's cool there are laces and they help you adjust.
They are so stylish and that's awesome to know that you put your idea into reality 😜🥰

Lovely shoes

Shoes are great - nice colour, and didn't take too long to arrive, especially considering they are made to order. But beware if ordering from the UK. I'm assuming it's one of the 'Brexit Benefits', but I had to pay £42 tax before the shoes could come into the country and be delivered.

Hi people were great in responding to…

Hi people were great in responding to me. There was the problem of the inscription that I asked for at the heel of the shoe not being done but I was told that next pair of shoes I shall get a discount.
I received my shoes but unfortunately the width of the shoes are too tight. I did send in my measurements .length and width, and re confirmed it a second time, . but the shoes taper at the top too quickly and cut off my outer toes pinching them slightly.. which make them difficult to wear. It is a real disappointment, as I think your shoes are great. I am not sure that one can buy shoes online.. I have to give my shoes away as I can’t wear them for a full day without the discomfort in my toes..
