Terrible company

Terrible company! Their initial ‘automated’ application process is a joke! I was refused a loan even though I have more than enough disposable income. I can only assume that it was because I don’t have a mortgage. That’s because I’ve paid it off!! My credit rating is well above average. Look at my age, look at the fact I’m an out-right home owner, you morons!

Very easy and quick transaction

We decided to use Divide to spread the cost of our new mattress as it was pretty expensive. Was easy to do, and gave different options that suited you on check out.

Also like the idea you have your own account to pay off early if needed and to keep track of payments.

Defo will be using again if the option was avaialble on checkouts on websites :)

Couple of red flags in their…

Couple of red flags in their application process when applying for loan with Octopus Energy.

1. the application portal doesn't work with an adblocker on. Why does a financial application want to store cookies on my machine to promote ads?

2. Doesn't accept Monzo. In the error message it compares Monzo with the likes of Revolut. Monzo is not a pre-payed card (anymore) and has a full banking license.

To be frank, it feels like a company ran by a set of cowboys, even the support chat requires ads.

Complete joke.

Don’t use if you are moving houses

The idea of this is great but if you are moving houses this is absolutely horrendous to use. For starters they can only send items to the billing address of your card, you won’t know this until they the delivery is due, even though there is an option to provide a different delivery address and no mention anywhere they will only delivery to the billing address. There are no contact numbers to call and the people handling emails can’t think outside the box. Asking you to send documents and still saying it’s not acceptable.
