Quick and easy
The paperwork is all great. I received the paperwork/forms via email in just a couple of hours. I received them in the mail in less than a week. The forms and instructions are very thorough. I have decided not to file right now so I can’t attest to the filing part. But I do have up to 2 years to make any needed changes and file.

It wasn't a good experience
It wasn't a good experience. It promotes a 137 dollar fee, but the website charged me an additional 117 dollar fee as well. Everytime I tried to edit the information, it showed I needed another payment to move forward. I need to what dept. to contact to get the $117 payment back.

A difficult time made easy with Divorce Writer!
My experience with divorce writer was quick, fast and easy! Divorce is an emotionally difficult process already and having to pay hefty bills for attorneys, court fees, along with the meetings and travel back and forth makes it so much worse. With Divorce writer it’s so simple everything is done online and it’s affordable which is one of my biggest reasons for going this route because I wouldn’t have been able to get a divorce and free myself of this marriage at this time in my life if it hadn’t been for Divorce Writer!

Thank you for reaching out. You should not see any pop-ups requesting additional payment. DivorceWriter charges a one-time flat fee of $137—no subscriptions, no hidden costs. If you choose to add printing and priority shipping, that service is available for an additional $20. These are the only fees we charge, and we're proud to offer transparent pricing—something many of our competitors don’t do.
Please note that the court will charge a separate filing fee when you submit your divorce paperwork. This fee applies to anyone filing a new divorce case unless they qualify for a court-approved fee waiver.
If you happened to see any pop-ups on our site asking for additional fees, we’d really appreciate it if you could send a screenshot to info@divorcewriter.com so we can investigate further. That definitely shouldn’t happen.

I’ve submitted $137.00 without…
I’ve submitted $137.00 without hesitation to file an uncontested divorce. On the website it clearly states that it will take 1 hour to obtain the documents via email option. I waited 1 hour, and still did not receive the documentation to my email. Therefore only document was a divorce writer’s pamphlet, instructions on how to file but what good are the instructions without the actual “motions to file” documents. THIS COMPANY CLEARLY OBTAINED MONEY UNDER FALSE PRETENSES! I asked for my money back since they never sent me documents to file. The only response was an automated generated response with the same pamphlet sent in the first email. Which made me look a little further and discovered that this company is not even listed on the BBB. I would never recommend a FRAUDULENT company like this (not even to my worst enemy).

Reply to response: June 18, 2025 was not a federal holiday, the day that I submitted my payment. I know because my birthday is June 19th that falls on the federal holiday every year. However, granted as a benefit of a doubt that your company took an extra day off prior to Juneteenth, today is June 21st, and I still have not received the documents to submit to the court to file for an actual divorce. I have checked my email regularly including spam. As a result, I AM SIMPLY ASKING FOR A FULL REFUND SINCE YOUR COMPANY HAVE NOT MADE GOOD ON THE PROMISE OF PROVIDING DOCUMENTS TO FILE WITH THE COURT. WHICH IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. SINCE IN DUE-PROCESS I CAN PROVIDE A LEDGER OF THE EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE OF “NOT” BEING A RECIPIENT OF OBTAINING THE “ACTUAL COURT DOCUMENTS”, I AM REQUESTING THAT YOUR COMPANY PLEASE REFUND THE FULL AMOUNT OF $137.00 THAT WAS SENT TO YOU ELECTRONICALLY ON 06/18/2025! The divorce papers that was given wasn’t the right ones for filing and was rejected by the courts. I asked for a refund and there was no reply back from this company. I am very disappointed and will never recommend anyone to do this
