Its my battle right now with the dodo support, they do not allow you to delete your account! Be carefull with what personal information you share with them!! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT !!

Easy to setup, very good pricing

Dashboard is good, the setup is very easy, the pricing very good. Less features than stripe but very focused on what they do. Definitely recommend.

Give my time back

I wanted to use them for my consulting business but my account ended up getting
rejected. The frustrating part is I had already spent time integrating and setting things up,
basically wasted a whole weekend because of this.

They are charging our customer credit…

They are charging our customer credit cards even though we don't process with them anymore! Absolutely insane illegal stuff happening here. And we can't even refund the customers because we don't have access to the dashboard anymore.

Dodo Payments has zero tolerance for prohibited activity. Your account was terminated on July 5, 2025, following a documented third-party complaint and a subsequent card-network compliance flag confirming that your platform was engaged in clear violations of applicable laws, our policies, and card-network rules. The evidence on file is documented and unambiguous.

Several statements in this review are factually incorrect. We want to clarify the inaccuracies as follows:

1. You were notified of the suspension at the time it occurred, and the full factual and contractual basis for termination has been communicated in writing. The record is clear.

2. No transactions have been processed on your account since July 5, 2025. Your account was formally closed following confirmation of your violations. If your customers are seeing charges, they do not originate from Dodo Payments.

Your account remains permanently terminated. Dodo Payments supports legitimate digital businesses that align with our policies and legal requirements.

They don't Honor Legitimate Refund - Scammers

Not sure what it would take to get a refund if submitting a request within the 3 days as listed in their return policy and I requested my refund the same day.

I reached out to both IndieKit and Dodo about the request and they are very good at ignoring my request and I know they've seen my many emails about the refund.

If you value honesty and integrity, I don't think neither of them actually present them with this issue I am facing.

Mind you they will come back and say please send a message to such and such email and we will gladly help you and any other excuse, but I don't expect them to get any response so I will be submitting a fraudulent charge just because my request for a refund was within their policy terms and they have ignored me for a whole week.

Customer First - Excellent platform functionality

I have completed a review of several payment providers and have decided to proceed with Dodo Payments.

Their personalized approach and dedicated support for startups distinguished them from other providers during the evaluation process. A significant advantage of their service is the Sentra feature, which automates product deployment and removes the need for manual setup for existing listings.

Big time scammers

Big time scammers. They will steal your money, never do the payouts. Also, they verified my business with extra verification after all verification done with an additional form sent to my email to verify my business and products again, I still cooperated. After that, they replied back with we're happy to support your business. Later, when I integrated them to my site, they just sent another payout form, when I filled that, they took all my money away, blocked me, support who was responsive became dead. All the reviews they have on trust pilot are their own staff members, while rest are fake. What else would you expect from this Indian scam group? I'm in deep loss, and on top of that regret trusting them.

I will take legal action against DodPayments.

We understand this experience was frustrating, but several statements in this review are factually incorrect. We want to clarify the several inaccuracies in this review.

1. Firstly, no transactions were processed on this account. As a result, no customer funds were collected, held, or “taken,” and no payouts were ever generated or withheld. Claims suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.

2. Initial communication during onboarding is not confirmation of approval. All accounts remain subject to final review once full business details, website content, and payout information are assessed. In this case, the information initially provided during onboarding did not match what was later identified on the website and in the business model, which triggered further review in line with our Merchant Acceptance Policy.

3. During that later review, the business was identified as a marketplace-style model. This identification was due to your explicit advertisement as a marketplace on your website, which is not supported under Dodo Payments’ Merchant of Record framework.

4. Finally, as explained to you in our previous communications, Dodo Payments does not support merchants operating from or requiring payouts to Pakistan, which is a restricted jurisdiction under our compliance obligations.

When a product verification fails, account access is restricted while the appeal or review is assessed. This is standard procedure and not punitive. We appreciate merchants being transparent during onboarding, as misalignment between stated information and actual business activity inevitably leads to outcomes like this.

Dodo Payments supports legitimate digital businesses that align with our policies and jurisdictional requirements. When a business does not meet those requirements, we are legally unable to proceed, regardless of earlier exploratory discussions.

Avoid this platform at all costs. JUST RUN

This is a nightmare company. They blocked my account exactly at payout time, right after I had accumulated $1,000. Even worse! they disabled the refund option, making it impossible to refund my customers. This is extremely damaging to any merchant’s cash flow.
If you are looking to set up or scale a business, forget it and run—don’t even try.

Our merchant account was suddenly suspended at payout time, and on top of that, the ability to refund customers was removed. This clearly violates card network rules. even Stripe does not operate this way. The funds were locked for 120 days, and they may steal it after this period...

All of this happened despite having a completely clean history: 0 chargebacks, 0 disputes, and 0 refunds. Support is useless, no real answers, only automated, scripted emails.

This review is misleading and deliberately obscures serious compliance violations.

This account was terminated after a compliance determination confirmed transaction laundering and the processing of payments for IPTV-related services. These activities are strictly prohibited and constitute a material breach of our agreement. The determination was based on authoritative compliance intelligence and independently verified through internal review.

IPTV activity and transaction laundering trigger immediate enforcement. The account was restricted, and payouts were paused as required under card network and regulatory obligations. Dodo Payments does not permit its platform to be used for IPTV or to disguise prohibited activity. When such violations are identified, we are legally unable to proceed.

For card subscriptions, transactions above INR 15,000 often require customers to manually approve each charge, which can lead to failures. Additionally, UPI Autopay involves multiple authorisation steps and is known to have higher drop-off rates during setup and execution.

Because of these factors, India's payment success rates may not always match global averages. That said, they are still significantly better than what most merchants typically see with individual payment setups.

Fast, ease of use, community support

I run Uhtend, a subscription for events. Previously I faced issues with Stripe an Razorpay for integrating subscriptions: the former did not allow account creation and the latter did not have easy subscriptions like I wanted.

I’m a non technical person which means I cannot code or integrate any subscriptions API.

Then I came across Dodo Payments on X, decided to give it a go and it was exactly what I needed.

- Account was easy to create, verification was done within 24 hours which means I was ready to collect payments right off the bat.

- The dashboard is intuitive & I find it easy to create products and subscriptions.

- They added UPI Autopay which means my subscribers can pay using UPI.

- Customers can pay in multiple currencies.

- They are merchant of record which means they handle taxes for you.

- Their Discord community is helpful and they have a board for feature requests; I requested short links for products and they implemented it pretty quick.

- Tax inclusive pricing is pretty neat too as is creating discounts, cycles for discounts, etc.

A great product is one you can recommend to someone you want to do better in life & Dodo Payments is one of them.

Any time someone asks about the right payment gateway to use I recommend them.
