One of the Best Payment DX for SaaS Builders

DodoPayments is much easier to integrate than other SaaS payment providers. I had it integrated in about 20 minutes and shipped my app super fast. The developer experience is excellent—highly recommended for all builders and shippers.

Dodo payments has help me to sell digital goods without any problem, as easy as generate the product and get a link to buy. Also, integrations are easy, options and dashboard are great and support, brutal.

Unnecessary GST charges

I don't see any reason why it manages/files taxes for me even when i am clearly not that big of a business. Unnecessary GST is being charged when there is clear limit of 20 Lakh for GST. And there is no way i can remove it.

As a global Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments is legally responsible for charging, collecting, and remitting applicable taxes based on the customer’s location, not the merchant’s turnover or business size.

This means GST can be applied to customer transactions even if your own business has not crossed the ₹20 lakh threshold.

GST is calculated on the total transaction value, collected from the customer, and remitted by Dodo Payments directly to the government as part of our statutory obligations.

The collected GST is our tax liability as the Merchant of Record and is deducted from the gross amount before payout to you.

The Stripe Alternative That Actually Works in India

I'm a product agency owner and an indie builder and taking international payments from India is usually a pain. Most gateways need a registered company and a lot of paperwork, and Stripe is invite only for India.

Dodo Payments made this surprisingly easy for me. I didn’t have a registered business when I built my first product, just a working product, and I was still able to start accepting international payments.

Setup was quick, support was helpful, and payments worked smoothly.

If you’re a solo founder or indie builder in India trying to sell globally, Dodo Payments is definitely worth checking out.

Smooth migration from Stripe

Do not sign up for payment, impossible to cancel

Gaming referee uses dodo payment. I subscribed and am now unable to get it cancelled. I have tried numerous times by email and chat with no resolution. Update 1/20/26. I finally received communication and the issue was resolved.

Its hard to find a company like Dodo…

First Review: Its hard to find a company like Dodo these days, customer support is fast and helpful, everything just works as it should.
I found them a year ago and i cannot recommend them enough.

Last Review: Things have changed, you know the things you think "it will never happen to me" well they did that thing twice to me, imagine you see your balance increasing, business going well then out of nowhere you receive "refund initiated" then you see load of these emails...

All the sales you made gone instantly no warning no "lets sort this out".

This is how Dodo operates nowadays, before they were business oriented exceptional customer support now they don't care for the people who keep them in business.

Sad how they ruined such an awesome idea...

We understand this situation felt sudden, especially given your earlier positive experience with us.

However, the actions taken were not arbitrary. The account was flagged for self-transactions, which are not permitted under the card network and compliance rules, regardless of intent. When such activity is identified, we are required to immediately stop processing and reverse recent transactions; this isn’t a discretionary decision.

We did communicate this via email, and this is a standard requirement followed by all payment providers operating under similar frameworks.

We genuinely value our merchants, but we also have to operate within strict compliance boundaries. The outcome here was driven by policy requirements, not a change in how we support our users.

Your account remains open for any compliant use cases.

Their customer support asks dumb…

Their customer support asks dumb questions even after everything mentioned in website, they hold payments for no reason their customer service is totally clueless what they are doing , they are just a bunch of people doing scam . They fail their business very badly

If you dont want to loose your money…

If you dont want to loose their money dont deal with this company, They are fraudsters and liars all the good reports seen here on trustpilot are written by their staffs to push the previous Bad reports, I signed up july this year . and a custormer paid via their link1950# , after the payment went through they blocked it and claim the waiting time is 2 weeks after 2 weeks they push it to 120days. after 120 days they sent me mail that they ve seized the money even though I requested the money to be return to the custormer . it is 4 months they refused to send my money i have contacted their Embassy (Indian Embassy) in my country and report them to their country cyber crime unit. if you dont want to loose your money dont use their service, They are criminals they will do everything to blocked you on all social media if you try calling their attention . And keep sending premediated messages to your mail of the same contents. Now I received a reply on trust pilots that I did go against their policy.
But ( 1) why wait for a transaction to go through before excuses?
2) Genuine company will refund the sender but they rather sent me a mail stating that they will not either refund the money or sent to me. After lots of excuses. My Advise is they are fraudsters hidden behind computer In Indian. If you are lucky you get your first payout. If you know you are genuine refund the money and send me the receipts I will delete all my review.
