First : The person on the phone said that it was “Nineteen Ninety five”. Wasted my time, talked and talked , when i finally got to the check out it was 1,995. I should’ve probably known that …. that’s not that big of a deal just wasted my time, but what is really a big is that after i told them I wasn’t interested cuz it was expensive they continued to called so many times a day. It’s unprofessional and WEIRD.

Scamming people over Service Dogs
They offer Psychiatric Service Dog Training but are not educated on service dogs or service dog laws!!
I have no clue how they train for other things, but the fact that they are so uneducated about service dogs and still offer the training to ANYONE is very upsetting. Service dogs are for people who are disabled; they are task-trained to mitigate a person's disabilities. They aren't an accessory to take everywhere with you. Having a Dr. approve the tasks trained does not make it ok or appropriate. The biggest red flag was being told at the end of the PSD training that my dog would be registered. Service animal registries are not a thing..

If I could give this company less than one star, I would.
If I could give this company less than one star, I absolutely would. I had two online sessions, which were pretty much a waste of my time and money. Then when I had an in person trainer, they just had me sit with my dog the entire training and that was all. The next session that I was supposed to have, the trainer ghosted me. No call. Nothing. They try to talk you into the “cheapest” package— most sessions for least amount. This is a scam. When I asked for a refund for my remaining sessions (as I’m very dissatisfied to say the least), I was told that wasn’t possible. Don’t waste your time with this company. There are many great trainers out there.

Very Good Instruction
I appreciated that you cannot move on with incorrect answers on the tests. This is a very important course and requires you to be aware of public, self, and dog safety. It also taught me what my future service dog and I need to work on.

I had a disappointing experience
I had a disappointing experience with this dog training company. The trainer recommended a miniature e-collar for my one-year-old pup, Chloe, and several sessions were left unfinished but marked as complete. Unfortunately, by the time I raised my concerns, I was outside the refund window, so no refund was offered.
They did offer to match me with another trainer to finish Chloe’s training, which I appreciate, but I ultimately didn’t feel comfortable continuing with the company.
I’m hopeful that others have better experiences, and I hope the company takes this feedback as an opportunity to improve communication, follow-through, and training recommendations.

you promised a perfect dog, after training at a cost of $1700, the dog is at best somewhat better on a leash. still aggressive and loud, the very things you said would be corrected. trainer was nice but said "i dont know why they tell people that", called for a refund of at least some of my money but was told no refunds, we promised nothing, so dont waste your time or money with this so called trainer service. its crap

This was not worth the money at all
This was not worth the money at all. I have already found all of the info presented and possible steps to take for free on YouTube. I was hoping for something more in depth. I’m frustrated that I spent $50.
There was a paragraph that didn’t even belong in the text “ Now that we’ve addressed the temperament, energy and physical characteristics of the German shepherd, it’s time to look at some of the most frequently asked questions about this breed.” - my course wasn’t about German Shepards! It was about curbing reactivity.

Excellent Start to Dog Academy Experience
Earlier today I was researching dog training options and Dog Academy stood out as a great fit with excellent reviews. In just minutes after completing the online questionnaire, Josh of the Dog Academy team reached out to discuss. I was impressed with the response time and also his taking the time to walk me through Dog Academy offering. We spent time talking specifics of mine and my dog's situation, and Josh tailored his recommendations for training based on learning more about us & what we were looking for. By the end of the call, Josh had set up a preliminary training plan, created my account, and connected me to a 1:1 call with a coordinator to schedule next steps. I appreciated Josh's personalized and well thought through training approach, and am looking forward to working with Dog Academy. Can't speak highly enough of initial onboarding & Josh & Laura walking us through and setting us up with our first appointment.

Learning to Speak My Dog's Language
I've been working with my trainer for about four months, and I can't say enough good things about this academy. My biggest "aha" moment has been learning the psychology behind dogs and how to actually communicate with my dog instead of just expecting her to listen.
I adopted a pit bull mix, that’s now 2 yo and who thinks everyone is her best friend. She's always been sweet, but she had no idea how strong she was! It's been so fun watching her grow. She even stopped chasing her tail now that she's getting the mental stimulation she needed. She's happier, has so much more self-control, and honestly is even more fun to be around.
The best part is that this training has taught me just as much as it's taught my dog. I highly recommend it!
