What is going on with Dolceterra?

I made a purchase last week and for the past 7 days am trying to get someone to reply to my messages, whether on email or whatsapp, telephone. NADA.

Also, they promised a message from FedEx, when the package is sent out (was supposed to be 3 days ago). NADA.

What is going on here?

An update on the above review. Following the post of the review i eventually heard from the company for the first time. A week later than promised the package reached its destination in full.

Despite all the above, the products were apparently good and tasty. We should at least give them that.

This company is horrible

This company is horrible. My order was NOT shipped in a timely fashion and then they tried to blame the shipper for my not receiving on time. This was not the real complaint. Package was poorly packaged, items that needed to be refrigerated were not and had slime on them. Items were missing, no receipt inside, cheese not makes with wheel information, horrific presentation. A complete joke. Trying to get credit with them is the real complaint. They ignore, refuse to give. Refit and argue with the results presented to them. I have pictures.Nobody should buy from this Fraud. They are not authentic and problably pull from dumpsters and ship other merchant’s tossed items. Nothing is labeled , they are a front, a ruses- I am going to report them to authorities to prevent them from importing thru customs. Dolce Terra you need to own your failure and make things right- that is if you are a legitimate business- I suspect you are not .. disgusting

Having said that, I feel sorry for you, your complaints are disrespectful, offensive, you want to take revenge because the package was delivered late by DHL? She already received a full refund for that, she could have avoided this.

Very poor customer experience - Total lack of communication

Similar experience to other reviewers below. Placed an order on 18th Dec, received an order confirmation then...nothing. Tried contacting them via WhatsApp, phone and all three email addresses listed on their website and confirmation email. No response whatsoever. Had to threaten to reclaim my payment via my credit card company to get any communication, and even then it was a text from FedEx, not Dolceterra. Finally arrived today, a full month after ordering. Still nothing from Dolceterra. Won't be using them again.

Incompetent and dishonest

Incompetent and dishonest. I made an important order, my sister was just out of the hospital from surgery and it was a get-well gift--very important. Cost $ 119, including $45 for FedEx shipping. First sign of trouble, they sent me a thank-you email but it was addressed to my sister. Uh-oh, I wrote back, be careful not to confuse the names of purchaser and recipient or it might not reach her! Then I waited for shipping info but nothing came. I wrote multiple times, finally after 12 days they told me they were ready to ship!! Whaaaat? You hold the order for 12 days and then ship by FedEx? A tortoise could have delivered it faster!! So it took two weeks in the end, and they refuse to refund the $45 I was forced to pay for FedEx overnight. And they refuse to answer emails or complaints. What else can you call this but incompetent and dishonest? They completely ruined the occasion, I should have just sent flowers. There's nothing "dolce" (sweet) about this bitter experience, way to ruin things Andrea.

Slow, little response

Initially I was very impressed with their prompt response when I messed up my order the first time. But now it's been a month. I have reached out several times to check on my order. No one has been able to tell me when this will ship. It's so frustrating to not even know when it will ship. I realize there are variables to shipping but an estimate on my order would be a good start.

We will definitely order again.

We ordered a gift basket full of delicious cheeses as a Christmas present. The basket arrived in perfect condition within the time promised. Most importantly, the recipient loved the cheese. She has remarked on it more than once.

Reacted well to my complaint

I initially posted a negative review but since Andrea responded well to my complaint, I decided to alter it. They have a great range of items to choose from and will look to order from them again in the future but probably when there is more certainty, when the pandemic is close to an end.

Incorrect shipping # Credit Card Charged no Ship

I have been a customer for years. Love the products. I ordered a gift to ship to a friends mother in Japan. I received a confirmation, a tracking #, my credit card was charged but the tracking number was no good. Francesca said wait until Monday, it will hit the system at DHL. It never did and continued efforts to reach Dolcenterra went unanswered. I had more assistance from DHL that advised they had no shipments for the month of December going to the name and address I gave him. It’s been since December 14th with no answers. Yet my credit card was charged.

After reviewing the response from Dolceterra I am insulted that this is was referred to as “the bitter taste of revenge”. Revenge for what? I have no misconceptions that this would be delivered by Christmas. The order showed DHL as the carrier. I was told to have THEM tell me where the shipment was. No where in my communication with Dolceterra did they mention Fed Ex. I’m a reasonable individual and I understand the limitations of what is happening all over the world with COVID-19. To insult me in such a Fashion is one way to lose a customer.

Ciao Kathy, thank you for being a loyal customer, but this review has the bitter taste of revenge that you should not direct at us, but at the historical moment we are living in and the delays caused by the CORONA virus emergency all over the world. We value our customers and our customer service department responded by informing you that the shipment had been made a few days after your order.

Having said that we have no control over Japanese customs and delivery times, these days Japan has also implemented further anti covid restrictive measures.
The package has been in Tokyo for a few days and we hope it will be delivered to the recipient soon.

Unable to contact

Hello,

I have placed an order on Friday but have not received any confirmation of any sort that the order was processed and will be shipped. The amount has been debited from my account, nonetheless. I have tried calling, emailing and watsapp messaging, with no answer. If someone from Dolce Terra sees this, could you kindly get back to me to let me know if you are still sending my order? If not, kindly return my payment.

We were so happy to find the Baileys…

We were so happy to find the Baileys Luxe Chocolate! It is not available in the US and we loved it when we visited our relatives in L'Aquila a couple years ago. The Limoncello hand painted bottle is simply beautiful! I will be ordering this again for gifts.

Everything was very good

Everything was very good and fresh. Had a problem with the shipment but it was resoled very quickly with the owner in Italy. Hard to work with anyone now a days with the virus around .Things take a lot longer. But I like all the items that this company has and will do business with them again..
