Paid for Food That Never Arrived. Door Dash Kept My Money Anyway.

On April 25, 2026, DoorDash took $19.21 of my money and delivered me stale nuggets and a flat Diet Coke.

That's it. Fries: missing. Two pies: missing. The food that did show up was inedible. I paid for a meal and received garbage.

I contacted DoorDash through the app. Denied. I called customer service. I was transferred through four different representatives over the course of more than one hour of my life I will never get back. Every single one of them refused to refund me, hiding behind my "refund history" as justification for keeping money I paid for food that was either missing or inedible.

Let me be clear about what happened here. DoorDash accepted my money. DoorDash's delivery resulted in a botched, incomplete, inedible order. DoorDash then deployed four human beings in sequence specifically to make sure I hung up the phone without my money. That is not a refund policy. That is an organized effort to keep payment for services they did not render.

I have filed a chargeback with my bank. I have closed my account. I am filing this complaint because what DoorDash did has a word for it and that word is fraud. They took money for food I never received and then used their own customer service infrastructure as a weapon against me when I tried to get it back.

This should not happen to anyone else.

They will not refund your money back

It's been 2 weeks now and I haven't gotten my refund from door dash I been on them about it and still never gotten it they lied and said they refunded it and no they didnt my bank never received no refund from door dash at all so they lied about the refund THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU YOUR MONEY BACK THEY SEND U THRU HOOPS they are some liars and thieves they will keep ur money when they claim they refund it back and they dont stay away from this app

They took an order at 10:40 pm for a place that closes at 11:00. At 12:30 the food was obviously cold and all they offered was a 3.00 credit on a 21.00 order. Plus when I placed the order there were plenty of dashers then they sent messages trying to find a dasher. Who wants cold food for 20.00?

I'm a doordash driver and I got to say that the customer service is by far the worst of anything I'm not sure how doordash stays in business everyday multiple times a day there's a money problem there's a mileage problem there's always something and they don't do anything about it

Just today they said I had a contract violation from misinformation they gave me misinformation and I got the contract violations. Just started using their crimson card less than 24 hours ago and already there was some unusual activity on my card and so they froze it and I can't get my money how is there unusual activity when it's been less than 24 hours

I'm probably going to get another contract violation because somebody's coke spilled over in my car so I delivered the food I ran to the store bought another soda with my own money and gave it to him and they got pissed at me for that doordash you suck

I was a proshopper

I was a proshopper. I got docked because I couldn't find items that didnt exist in the store and got downgraded. I was dashing and the power went out in the town. All the stores were closed. I had to cancel the orders and gave the reason that the power was out. I called them to confirm it. They suspended my account for up to 5 days since I cancelled the orders that I couldn't complete. Don't dash. It is not worth it. A lot of wear and tear and gas for your car. And then they downgrade or suspend you for things beyond your control. Not worth it!

DoorDash Delivery Order Gone Wrong

I orrded on Door Dash Wednesday 3/18 from Panda Express. I also rated the delivery like I always do but DoorDash never posted it. I ordered a 2entree plate with orange chicken and steak. When my order was delivered I only received the orange chicken but the steak had been removed from the steak entree and I only received a measly few vegetables. The restaurant normally seals the bag but this time it looked like it had been torn open deceit was not sealed. I don’t know if the dasher took the steak or the restaurant didn’t put none in the plate. However, it’s unacceptable and DoorDash customer service did nothing about it and didn’t even post my review.

Door Dash is an awful criminal company

Door Dash is an awful criminal company
They took money out of my account for a dash pass I didn't order.
When I asked for a refund on 03/17/2026 they assured me that they would refund me.
I have the email stating I was being refunded.
Today, 03/17/2026 they took money out of my account.
I didn't get a refund they instead stole money out of my account!
I am writing my attorney general and blasting my experience all over social media so they don't rob anyone else.
They are DEFINITELY a scam company.
I hope they burn in HELL for the money they steal from innocent hard working people.
They disgust me.

Called customer service number for door…

Called customer service number for door dash due to an incompetent delivery person and lazy that decided to leave my delivery on the outside of the building facing the parking lot instead of at my apartment front door.
Then the customer service a hole insisted that I had to download WhatsApp for my delivery issues. I shared I had no idea why and how that would be relevant. He then said “fuc*kk you b*tch” and hung up on me! Unbelievable!!!!!

You are not listening

I could write a lengthy review about how DoorDash is too expensive and how it is a very bad habit I need and will break. Not only do you pay the delivery fees, and they’re still high even if you have the Pass, the food items that you get are more expensive than if you picked it up at the restaurant yourself. It took me a while to figure that out. Imagine my surprise when I went to one of my favorite restaurants discovered on DoorDash and learned their food is not that expensive after all. It is seriously not a good deal. That is not the purpose of this review though.

This review is to talk about how poor their communication and service can be. There is a restaurant in my hometown that is showing up on DoorDash as an active option, but it has been permanently closed for at least a month. I have made three attempts to advise DoorDash of this so they can take that restaurant down. It even still shows updated messages like ‘getting ready to close’ or ‘this restaurant will open at 11:00’. I was trying to be helpful by advising DoorDash of this so that other customers would not order from this restaurant and never get their food. Three chats and an actual conversation later, the restaurant is still showing on the site as an available option. In every chat and in the conversation, they act like they’re doing me a favor. I know the restaurant is closed, so you’re not doing anything for me. They have the absolute worst service. They apparently have no mechanism for actually listening to a problem, even if the problem is theirs not mine, and resolving it. Honestly, I just left the last chat because they will never get it, and trying to do them a solid is a massive waste of my time.

Don’t try it, save your money, spend your gas, you’ll be happier (and fed) because of it 😓

DO NOT ORDER THRU THIS COMPANY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! As a first time customer I ordered from AppleBees to be delivered by Door Dash…😓I get a message from Door Dash saying my our meal has arrived, I go to retrieve our meal from the front porch and there was no meal, so I check the picture from the driver…not my porch, so I message the driver (Braxton) his response ..”If so, I apologize but I dropped it off at the exact address listed. Have a good night.” Obviously he didn’t because the picture was not my home or any home near me…so no help from the driver I contacted door dash thru their app - & course my refund request was denied - {go figure from the company that had let Braxton to continue f’n erbodies night up 🙄} so then I found the number to call in to a real person and of course I get someone who barely speaks English and their name is even more difficult so of course gullible me 🤔 that surely they will refund my money due to the fact that I didn’t even get to sniff the s**t..but no because by the time I got off the phone from being transferred from dept to dept of barely English speaking con-artists, I had not written down anyone’s name or the date and time or dept that they were in … so now I call in to check on this refund that proof of was supposed to be emailed to me within a week and nobody has even heard of any complaint from me … since I was “JUST NOW” calling in to complain there was nothing they could do about .really wtf? Are they serious with this BS, I mean first they tell me it was cuz it’s my first order (which that is a hell of business technique, I’m mean they are definitely not into second chances there, cuz they sure as hell ain’t getting one from me)..but now they are saying Iwaited too late to complain..so which is it? I tell you what, I hope that lil $50 makes or breaks that company cuz I’m gonna moan & groan & complain with my lil sh***y tale every time that Ihear door dash… so yes i give a 1 star would have given no stars if I could😣😖

Door dash are criminal they have been deducting money from my account for door dash pass which I never made any subscription with them. When I contacted them they told me that they didn’t see any proof of transactions on their end. This unethical , illegal and deceitful behaviour. I am not doing any more dashing with their useless app. Just a waste of time and gas. You all are slave drivers and oppressors.

Will not longer purchase with doordash

We've had a subscription for dash pass for a long time and as of the last 2 months, whenever we submit an order, food or otherwise, even when I pay the rush fee we have to wait more than 2 hours for some things to be delivered and they dont. We get a timing update and still no driver assigned to our order, leaving us to cancel an order after waiting hours for it to arrive. We've also been running into instances where we'll open our app, all od the locations in our neighborhood are open and available and as soon as we create an order, were told that our cart is no longer available for purchase and were prompted to resubmit that order with a store the next town over or further and were forced to pay ANOTHER fee for long distance. Even though 2 minutes prior, the desired location was available. Im not ordering with doordash for items any longer knowing what a pyramid scheme it is.

Good , But Do not signup with amazon prime promotion, its a scam

I created a new account supposed to be linked to my amazon prime, and get all dashpass promotions & more according to the proposal ...
but it doesnt work , its a scam
and support would not help , after tranfering me to other department agents 4x , one agent told me should be resolved in 24h , then another told me it wouldnt , then after mentionning contradiction , said it might be , they would look into it in the next 24h
Update : I received 30% discount promo code for 3orders on my first account with already dashpass, at least they made it right. they usually do.

I signed up to be a Dasher months ago at first everything was going as planned and then I kept seeing your background hasn’t came back it’s been 6-7 months I called the help number the young lady try to find out what’s the hold up Notification for my background check has came in, but it never did keep saying update the app I really feel like I’m being I did everything they asked of me now I feel like getting me a lawyer I feel played a couple of lawyers say I have a good case I Signed up for Dasher soI can make spare money to help pay my bill I know it doesn’t take this dam long to do a background check the holidays has past now I need some answers my next step is to call corporate and my lawyer I need answers

Radio Silence About Missing Food

The order was missing food. I took a pic and emailed them immediately. They said they never got the pic and asked that I send them the pic. I sent them the pic, which was time stamped proving it wasn't later. Radio silence. I sent a couple follow up emails. Never heard from them again. I've also had multiple other poor experiences with them as well, e.g. coupons not applying, other times food was missing. I will never use them again.

I made an order of alcohol

I made an order of alcohol. it was going to take about 45 minutes. during that time i had a emergencey but was able to make it back to meet the delivery. but was flustered. the delivery driver was in a hurry and couldnt wait a few minutes for me to locate my id. and had to go. as soon ad the driver pulled out of my driveway , i looked u the drivers contact numbet through door dash and call and said hey i got my licience. come back. driver said they have cacelled the order. that i would get a refund. i waited til next dsy to check on the refund. door dash tells me that i cant get a refund. i was expecting a refund all except maybe the tip for the driver. but they are flat out robbing me of of my money. and they font know what actuslly hsppened. so badically they just took my money no mstter even if the delivery person never showed. i may take to smal claims court just for principal

Worst food delivery service ever

The absolute worse customer service in the world. Ordered almost $100 in food from Dennys neither the store nor dasher done their jobs. Items were missing and what was not missing was either under or over cooked. Contact customer service to which they say sorry you are mad but we are just gonna let you get robbed no kind of credit or anything I tipped the dasher almost $15 never using again

Door dash should pay more to the drivers

I'm a dasher and door dash would be a great thing but they allow people to keep adding items to an order while you're in the store which causes the dasher to loose money by spending hours on one customer for little money all the while loosing money because you can't get other orders.i got an order to get 10 items from the store for ten bucks once there they added 20 more items for the same amount I feel if you add items the pay should Increase..

I swear DoorDash support has to be a mix of robots and the most unhelpful humans on earth. Every time I contact them, it’s the same copy-and-paste script: “I’m sorry… I’m sorry… I’m sorry… but policy says…” Like please, I’m convinced nobody there actually reads what you write. They just keep repeating the same lines until you give up.

I’ve been using DoorDash for over FIVE years, and somehow I’m the one who ends up with a restricted account. My DashPass was cancelled out of nowhere—right after they took the $9.99, of course—and now I can’t even sign back up. Honestly, the garbage took itself out because I refuse to give them another penny.

Every refund request? Denied. Even with photos of the missing items. The app says “not guaranteed,” the merchant tells you to ask DoorDash, and DoorDash tells you to go fight a wall. But they’re super fast at taking your money—just not refunding it. You wait hours for a review just to be told, “I’m sorry, this is not what you wanted to hear.” No kidding.

For a company that loves talking about “loyal members,” they sure don’t treat them like it. DashPass barely saves you anything—maybe $2 if the stars align. And don’t get me started on the drivers. Half of them don’t read instructions, don’t follow delivery directions, and some even beg for more tip. That’s a DoorDash problem, not mine. Pay your workers instead of expecting customers to cover the difference.

And funny how they don’t even have a public place to leave an honest review. Probably because they already know the service is trash.

DoorDash, do better. Or just admit you don’t care.
