Doesn't work in the US

Ordered a Doorbell. They sent the wrong product and now refuse to correct. The seller is in the UK and I'm in the US, so it would cost me about 35 dollars to sent it back which is about half the cost.
Becareful ordering from them. On the upside, they did respond that they were unwilling to correct the issue. Ghosting would be worse.
So if you look at the picture you can see that the outlet doesn't fit US outlets. This product requires 230v at 50hz. The US has 110v and 60hz. I would need a transformer to make this work.

Replying to the reply: The company has confirmed that they are sending product to the US that is incompatible with the United States power grid. So if you live in the US or a country that does not use 230v and 50hz power, you are now warned that they will do the same to you.
Most modern electronics are compatible with a wide range of power, not this one. They sell only UK specific products. Keep that in mind before you purchase.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's a shame it isn't an honest one though. You say we sent you the wrong item. That is not true. We sent you exactly what you ordered. You say we were not willing to correct the issue. That also is untrue.(See exerpt from email sent to you)"If you wish to send them back to us you may do so and we can refund you." You ordered a UK plug in product from a UK company to use on a US electrical system. The responsibility is on YOU to ensure items will work in your situation. You could have double checked with us prior to ordering if unsure. I think it is a shame you try and damage a small business's reputation out of frustration at YOUR mistake.

The first choice was unavailable but the next one I ordered was in stock and was delivered the next day.
It was very well packaged the quality was very good and the instructions were spot on we are very happy with the door bell.

Chose first door bell but was out of stock they were very sorry offered us a full refund or choose another bell — we chose a slightly more expensive one at no extra cost and had it delivered next day
Packaged very well instructions very clear good quality

Personal touch

Personal touch. The person who answered the phone very helpful when I had ordered incorrect item. All sorted very easily and they did what they said they would do. Impressive service

Replacement for package that went astray sent asap...

UPDATE - 15th May 2025:
5-stars: I have now upgraded my original 1-star rating to a 5-star rating, as Jason at DoorBellWorld pulled out all of the stops to get a replacement to me asap, once they had realised that I had not received my goods. As my carpenter went on holiday before the replacement could be fitted I will have to leave another update on the performance of the bell when it is eventually in situ. However, many thanks again to Jason at DoorBellWorld who sorted the matter out.

Original Review 28.04.25 (below) which is now superseded by updated review (above):

1-star: I would love to rate DoorBellWorld on their service and product, but having ordered a Black Wind up Mechanical Doorbell and Black Round Bell Push with white/black Press button on the 28th April 2025, as of the 5th May I am still waiting for it to arrive.

This is despite the fact that DoorBellWorld sent me an email on the 29th April saying that they had despatched it via Royal Mail's 48hour Tracked Service. The link DoorBellWorld provided to the Royal Mail's tracking Service just shows the following message:

"We're expecting it - The sender has advised they have despatched your item to Royal Mail.
More information will be available once we have received your item and scanned it into our network".

So it appears that DoorBellWorld have either not even sent it to Royal Mail yet, or if they have, then the Royal Mail have lost it. Incompetence on a scale that only Barry and Paul Chuckle could match.

"To me, to me, to me", "To you, to you, to you"... Meanwhile my carpenter disappears on holiday on Thursday 9th May. Thanks DoorBellWorld and Royal Mail - together you make a great team!
