DoorDing has never worked for me, or most people in our apartment complex. When someone heard that our doors operate with DoorDing they said ''haha, good luck!''. The app is not fully developed, not even close really. We miss our package deliveries so often, because DoorDing doesn't notify us, or we cant open the door with the app, or the video doesn't work and the person ringing the bell doesn't even realise someone answered the call. We've also experienced receiving calls from someone who rang someone else..
It would be a cool concept to have along side a regular doorbell. There is nothing wrong with a doorbell, it works perfectly fine.
Whenever we have called someone to come fix it, they have, however it just created even more problems. I didn't even have my own apartment door in my app for a while, before they patched it. But to this day, no matter what I do, I can not open the door through my phone. Good Job!
It is a good concept, but it is in the beginning of its development. Being forced to hurry down with the elevator or down 8 flights of stairs because your app doesn't work for months on end is disgusting.
