After completing my CIPD Level 3, I knew I wanted to do the Level 5. Spoke to Roddy one of the advisors that made the process easy. I am looking forward to getting started

I've contacted Dominic at the Student Services Team at DPG today with a query regarding my assignment feedback. The response was really quick and my query resolved within 20 mins. Dominic followed up on my query straight away and checked in afterwards - great service, thanks Dominic!

Everything was handled in such a streamlined and efficient manner, making the experience smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate his professionalism and clear communication, and I feel confident that I can approach him at any time without hesitation.

Absolute disgrace, they promise you a tutor and in the end you wont find any. One way communication, no support at all. AVOID !

Reply from DPG
lack of communication with tutor, tutor doesnt even help with course not sure why they even there. one way communication with marker takes ages to mark one piece of work. student service contacted them 2 week ago via email still not reply once you ring them they dont answer. Do Not waste your money on them

The registration process was very simple and quick with the advisor responding back to any questions I had within a couple of hours. With this, after sending my enrollment form back, I was enrolled within a day. However, during the registration process, I was never asked if I wanted to join the blended or online programme and was put straight onto the online programme which wasn’t my preferred choice. The reason I chose DPG Learning was due to the blended programme they offered. I contacted the advisor who enrolled me and was told the enrollment form I completed (with my personal details and payment details) had the options on, however, this was not correct. I resent the form back and stated it did not have the option on and I am still waiting for a response from that email.
I then emailed Student Services when upon having no response after 9 working days, I called them. I then waited 52 minutes to speak to an advisor to have a 5 minute call. I was told I can change courses as I am early on but this will take a couple of days. I have asked for information on additional support as well as nothing has been sent over to me and I have previously emailed. I was told that they are backlogged with emails and will get back to me with confirmation of the additional and request to switch programmes in a couple of days. That was a month ago (request was on 09 September) and I am still waiting to be moved programmes.
From the call in which I was told they were backlogged, this doesn’t fill me with confidence in my request being actioned and upon reflection, I would debate using them as a provider. Please ensure you do your research and look into other providers before using them.
UPDATE - 1 week later. DPG has replied to this review, however, no request for information has been made and my follow up emails still have no response. I have tried to call Student Services again today and their contact number is now disconnected. I am still waiting to hear back on when I will be changing programmes and have no way to contact them. Seem to be quick to respond to reviews on here but not students who have been waiting for weeks. They have also invoices my employers twice for my course which makes me question their ability as a provider.

In my opinion do not pursue a course with this company if there is any chance that over the next year and a half you could lose your job, suffer a mental health crisis or find yourself temporarily in between homes.
There were no emails, no texts or calls to check in over this year, yet they kept happily taking their £200 out of my account every month. Any University or course I've attended in the past has immediately checked in after a week of absence if not sooner.
Finally coming up for air and getting my financial state in order, I tried to get a refund.
I managed to finally get through to someone - after being on hold with accounts for 37 mins then hanging up and calling student affairs. Only to be told I can either a) pay a £50 cancellation fee or b) pay £500 to continue the course I haven't touched since applying for it.
For a company that provides courses in Human relations I find it interesting that they are more concerned with capitalism rather than customer care.
Update 1: Commerce over clients.
Not only have they responded to my review with the same options of taking more of my money, they doubled down by emailing me the exact same nonsense.
Trying to call and talk to someone is virtually impossible, and once you are on the phone it seems as if they read from the same script as the email and response below: with no empathy or tact whatsoever.
I could either pay £50 to cancel, pay £500 to extend, each of which is taking more money from me instead of providing what seems to be a simple request: refund me for the course as I have not used any resources or time or anything that I paid for.
Keep an eye on the statements they send you. Read the contract and make sure you know what they are roping you into because this company is completely, in my opinion, focused on commerce over clients.

This is a review on the sign up experience which has been excellent. The course seems to offer flexibility for completing and I am looking forward to starting. Roddy was very helpful.

Sheila Flannigan is by far the best DPG representative I've talked to. She is kind, understanding, knowledgeable and professional. Couldn't praise her more. If someone deserves a recognition - that's her!

Some friends recommended DPG to me, saying their service is very good. I then spoke with Roderick Briggs a few times, he has been excellent, giving me very clear instructions and always responding to me quickly.

Big shout out to my tutor Holly, and my manager Liv. I couldn’t have done it without the support of either of you. The course really helped build my confidence in applying the theory and also when it came to writing the assignments (which felt a bit intimidating at first) but now i've officially achieved 'Foundation Membership of the CIPD'. That feels like a proper milestone.
This has been a solid experience that’s left me proud. Thank you

A Solid, Flexible Learning Experience
I recently completed the CIPD Level 5 Diploma and overall, it’s been a rewarding and valuable learning journey. The course content was comprehensive..The CIPD syllabus covered a wide range of topics that have definitely improved both my theoretical understanding and practical application.
Pros:
• Excellent Learning Materials: The study resources were well-structured, clear, and aligned to the CIPD learning outcomes. I appreciated the mix of reading materials, case studies, and videos that made complex concepts easier to grasp.
• Flexible, Self-Led Learning: One of the biggest advantages of this course is its flexibility. Beimg self-led meant I could work through the modules at my own pace, which was ideal while balancing a full-time job.
• Good Academic Support: While tutor interaction was at times, limited, the academic feedback on assignments was detailed and constructive. The tutors and assessor clearly had a strong understanding of the subject matter and were helpful when I reached out with specific questions.
Cons:
• At times limited Tutor Engagement: Although support was available, it wasn’t always proactive. You had to take the initiative to reach out, which might be a challenge for learners who prefer more "hand-held" guided interaction. To counter this, I would recommend the blended options that offer the interactive webinars. These are valuable!
• Self-Motivation Is Key: The self-led format requires discipline and motivation. Without set deadlines or regular check-ins, it can be easy to fall behind if you're not organised.
Overall, I'm thankful to DPG for great learning experience. While it’s not without its challenges—especially for those who thrive on live or structured learning. The quality of the materials and the academic support when needed made it a worthwhile experience. There were delays in marking my final assignment, Im told this was due to CIPD introducing AI checking, but in short, I’d definitely recommend DPG, especially if you prefer/comfortable managing your own learning.

Recently passed my CIPD Level 5 People Management, with DPG. Having been out of formal education for a long time, this is a big achievement for me. The programme was difficult times and an unusually long delay in marking my last 2 assignments.
The delay was communicated well and the students team compensated the delay with a complimentary extension, for which I'm very grateful for. Learning materials are insightful and easy to digest. I've today, enrolled on the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma, with a welcomed 20% returning student discount. Bring on the long nights 🙈

Highly recommend DPG. Avnita was very quick to respond to my initial enquiry answering any questions I had along the way. The whole enrolment process is straight forward and well organised and Roddy arranged everything very quickly and was quick to respond to my queries along the way. There was no chasing or hassling me to make a quick decision, I was given time to compare the offering against other providers and make an informed decision. Have definitely made the right choice.
