Absolutely disgusting service. I not only messaged online to say we had a dog but I also rang to confirm that we had a dog on the day that we were to be picked up. They confirmed all was ok. But I was called after I was due to be picked up at 11.35pm on Boxing Day, when I was due to be picked up for 11.30 pm, only to be told that there were no pet friendly taxis available. I’ve never known such appalling service. We had no way to get home. Absolutely appalling.

NEVER USE DRAGON TAXIS.
The taxi turned up ok, but when trying to book a return taxi I could not make the non English speaking operator understand my request, consequently the taxi turned up at the wrong place some 5 miles away, and, when trying to re book, they wanted me to pay upfront, told them no and booked with Capitol cabs instead, who managed it....just.

Very poor service. I booked a taxi a few days ago, they are charging me double in Christmas day already. I confirmed the booking 7 hours ago, but the taxi no show. I called the operator a few times and the operator told me you are in high operator, until the last operator told me the taxi has to drop off another passenger first, then he can come to me, which takes 10 more minutes. I immediately booked Uber which is even cheaper and faster than this dragon taxi!

Absolutely garbage taxi service all about the money not the customer

I booked a taxi on Friday the 16th of December with Dragon Taxis Newport for to arrive at Depot Cardiff at 11:45pm for 4 people with 4 stops on the 17th of December (I gave the address for each stop, they were all in Newport). There was a train strike on the 17th, which is why we felt it was even more important to book a taxi. They took this booking happily. We came out of Depot at 11:30 and I saw a dragon taxi car waiting, so on the off chance asked whether it was for me, he said no, so we said that was fine and would wait for further details to be texted to us. At 11:40 we were told the car was outside and given the registration details. It turned out the it was the car we had asked 10 minutes ago, and he still denied that it was for me, even though I could see my name on his phone. Once I'd pointed this out, he said "well there's no way that I'm doing 4 stops in Newport". We didn't understand this, as we expected to get what we booked. However, it turns out that the drivers accept the jobs and then only find out the journey after accepting the job, then they can refuse to do it if they want too. We explained that we were 3 girls on our own (everyone had left the venue) in the middle of an industrial estate in Cardiff, and this taxi driver was fine with leaving us stranded in the dark on our own in subzero temperatures. We called back Dragon taxis very frustrated, they apologised for the situation and said they would send another driver within 5 minutes. I asked how we knew we wouldn't get the same experience, they said that they would personally ring the driver and explain the original booking and what had happened to us already. 10 minutes later our next taxi turned up, we got in his car then he said there was no way that he was doing 4 stops in Newport for £35. We said we would pay more, but it was against company policy and the amount couldn't be changed. We said that we would wait in the car until we had an alternative lift sorted, as we didn't want to be abandoned again. He then called Dragon taxis and said that he was refusing and now felt "threatened" by us not leaving his car so was now refusing to even do a single stop in Newport. We were absolutely shocked, he was acting as though we were attacking him! Please note, we are 2 teachers, a doctor and a banker. The operator managed to persuade him to at least drop us off at St Mary's Street where it was safer for us to wait, and they'd send yet another car out. There was no way we were waiting for another car that would leave us in the exact same predicament as the previous two. Our only alternative to standing in a taxi queue on St Mary's Street for hours or getting cancelled by Uber was to ask one of our parents to collect us, so that is what we did. We were absolutely appalled by Dragon Taxi's service and by the way we were treated by the two drivers. I am never using Dragon Taxis again, and would love to see some sort of investigation into this company. I would encourage everybody not to use them as I've seen so many other people have similar experiences online (trust pilot and tripadvisor). One of my mum's friends also had a bad experience last week. We recorded the details of the taxi driver's cars and I would also encourage people to avoid: a grey Mercedes HG65 HYH and a black BMW AO65 CFK.

They didn’t make enough money taking me home but accepted my ride anyway. Once they had turned up, they refused us due to the journey and said we could not travel with them. Must be a loophole where they still get paid if they turn up but refuse service. This happened twice. I cannot believe how we were treated and I will not be using the company again.

If Dragon taxis don’t drive to Newport, then why offer it?
We could have made other arrangements if you had just refused at the time of booking.

For the second time this year, Dragon taxis have failed to deliver. Three booked taxis have not showed up (for a Christmas function) and the passengers will now be late (assuming they do turn up!). Horrendous company who just don’t care. Why take a booking if you can not fulfil it?

As other have said taxi wasn’t on time. pre-booked taxi for 11.30 but it was 45 mins late! Controller seemed overloaded. Not a good experience.

What is the point of booking a taxi in advance if the office does not allocate our job to a driver until 20 mins late . If you are too busy for the booking don’t take it

Where do I start after booking 3 taxis for our Christmas night out in Tondu rugby club 1 taxi turned up the rest of us were unable to get to our party what a let down plus 15 pounds per person down what a waste especially at this time of year MERRY CHRISTMAS.

As a company that has recently acquired Premier Taxis in Bridgend - a previously reliable taxi company - you’d have thought their level of service would improve. Not so.

They are so utterly inept that even if you pre-book your taxi over three hours in advance like we did they STILL contrive to mess up your booking and only actually dispatch your taxi if you follow up with angry phone calls to the number on the app (and even then it’s hit and miss as the hapless operators are incompetent as well).

Totally, utterly poor. Premier cars might have gone, but there are still other taxi firms in Bridgend, and I urge you to use any of those instead.

As a regular customer of dragon taxis for many years I won't be using them again. The drivers don't seem to know where to go and the fares are crazy. Twice this week I booked a taxi for my friend and the fare into town was over £18 then £20 from Ely police station to St Davids Shopping centre

Do not use this company 2nd time they have let me down on a prebooked taxi. Sitting in my golf club on my own waiting. Full of excuses. I WILL NEVER USE THIS TAXI COMPANY AGAIN, AND I ADVISE YOU TO NOT USE THEM EITHER

Used this rip off company recently. On the plus side they turned up on time and the driver was polite. However there was nearly £12 on the meter as we sat in. We were quoted £26 for our trip but were charged £45!
Do not use them.

Paid on app after a night out they paid cash and rang the next day and the driver denied having the money!!! Stealing cash from a drunk women absolute disgrace of a driver. Will be checking my neighbours camera as it overlooks my house as evidence

Hired a Taxi recently with a fayre that should have been no more than £8 as I use taxis regulary. Before I got in the car there was already £3.80 on the screen.The clock was ticking over very quickly and ended up being charged just under £15.00.When I questioned the driver was told it was because of the rugby, although this was only at 7pm in the evening.Although the company offered me £2 refund when i complained - the morals of this company are wrong and drivers seem to charge what they want.Do not use - these guys are a rip off!!

I booked a taxi for a friend and Dragon charged me via the app. My friends noticed this and asked the driver to cancel my charge, which he didn’t and they then paid.

Had to chase Dragon for my money and the onus was on me not the driver. Got the money back two weeks later.

Sharp practice by the driver, surprise surprise and poor customer service to follow. Avoid!!!

Booked taxi to go shopping taxi came got into the taxi because I closed the taxi door bit to hard the driver started having a go I said sorry didn't mean to close it to hard Instead of him leaving it this driver started chipping away at us I wasn't gonna pay money to be spoken to like that because I stood my ground he didn't like it he then pulls outside his house I turns to me and my boys and says I live there you should show me some ffn respect then canceled our fair told us to f f off as I got out of his taxi I told him back this driver then gets out of his taxi walks towards me calling me the most vile names ever in front of my 10 year old this is now a poilce matter stay clear of this company if that's the sort of people they hire

Waited 45 mins for a taxi that I was originally told would be 15 mins. In the rain and dark with young children. Operatior called me a liar about what time I rung very unprofessional unreliable but unfortunately as they have now taken over premier it’s the only service on the area and a terrible one at that!
