Great service again from Dragon Taxis Newport .Booked a taxi for 12pm last night, turned up on time. Nice driver.

Do not use this useless company missed my coach to Bristol airport due to there incompetent service they test me there were cancelling my taxi then got a text they were outside my house which was a lie what they should have said they make more money on the School run hence nearly missed my flight DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for your travel arrangements

Decided to look at the reviews while I wait for my 25 minute late taxi from dragon. Reviews did not disappoint as this is what I’ve experienced from their service. Either late and don’t apologise, don’t show up or just cancel your taxi even though it says it’s been confirmed. MULTIPLE times I’ve been late to work because they show up late or a no show so I have to take alternative transport at the last minute. Had a taxi booked for 8:30am before for my 9am start, did not show up until 8:50 and no apology from the driver.

Had an awful awful experience the other night where my taxi was 35 minutes late, and then when I got outside he was 6 houses away. Walked up to the car and he drove off and I just stood there as I thought he was turning around in our dead end street. He looked at me TWICE, parked in the middle of the road and as I went to approach the car he drove off again. He then got out the car and was extremely rude to me saying “I don’t have night vision goggles I can’t see you” despite him looking at me twice and me being the only person in the street. Didn’t know the area at all and a seriously bad driver.

We prepaid £47 swansea to bridgend 1am pick up. They didn't didn't turn up at 1am. When we rang, they said they were going to be 15-20 mins. They turned up 30 minutes later.

Booked a taxi with this firm several hours before pick up for 19:30 on a Tuesday evening.
No appearance at the requested time! Text message received at 19:35 to say there was a delay. We needed to be at our venue at 20:00 less than two miles away. It was a ‘black tie event’ so it would have meant a walk through dark wet lanes, so that wasn’t an option. At 19:50 still no appearance, so I decided to drive!!
Whilst at the venue, further text at 20:05 to say yet another delay with taxi arriving ! 😡
20:12 further text to state that they were cancelling the taxi as I wasn’t at the pick up point. 41 mins late, and the cheek to blame me?
An absolute shower, roll on UBER coming to the area. Never ever had a problem with them. Always timely, polite and cheap.

Unfortunately I would not use this company again making false promises they can’t keep, no show.
Disappointing service cancelled booking in the end. The person who took the booking initially should have conveyed they didn’t have a driver.

Disappointed with dragon tonight. A friend who is a regular dragon customer booked a taxi at 23.20 from the Royal exchange Llandaff north for 23.45. The booking was confirmed, but no-one turned up. He called the operator. No record of the booking and i heard him both make the booking and the dispatcher confirm the booking. A shambles. A disabled person had to walk home due to your incompetence. There was no text back, nothing. Have advised him never to use dragon again and shall be telling all taxi users exactly how dragon left this guy stranded in the cold.

On the first occasion we had pre booked our taxi this evening it came to us 8 mins early, called us, we travelled down the stairs from my flat and then drove off. We had to rearrange which made us late for a surprise party. The same evening, second time we had pre booked for 11pm that same evening. We had the call for the taxi and left the party only to see 3 random strangers get into our taxi and drive off. The details Of our vehicle were given so we know it had been allocated to us. What’s the point of taking our name and calling us and pre booking when you drive off with other people or come 8 mins before the time booked only to drive off? Shocking poor service will not be using again.

Do not use this company they don't turn up and are not reliable. I press booked a Taxi on the Monday evening for Tuesday morning at 8.15 to get me to work for 8.30 my start time. I had a confirmation text. At 8.20 they didn't arrived I called them and they said I had to wait another 20/25 minutes obviously meaning I would have been super late for work. Absolute Joke.... They even quoted £12 for a 3 mile journey.... Jog on will never ever use you again

Applied via the app in Bath for a short taxi ride . Cost to be £9.50-£10…card charged £14.40

I booked a taxi on 9 December at 6.30pm, so that I could be at my office Christmas party by 7pm, to meet my 30 staff. No taxi arrived until 7.45pm, by which time I had missed most of our Christmas meal.
Furthermore, it was a freezing cold night, but the driver insisted on leaving the window open, and this is because he smelled strongly of alcohol, and he either needed the window open to stay awake and sober up, or to mask the smell of alcohol in the cab.
I have been trying to reach them for a reaction since 9 December, it is now 18 January, and they will not have the courtesy to respond.
I am disgusted by their service, but more so by their lack of attention to what is a serious matter. DRUNK TAXI DRIVER.

Shambolic. Had to pay twice when first taxi didn't even turn up. Office were zero help. Unfortunately they don't know I work for licensing office of local council so won't be getting away with it

If I could give no stars I would. Taxi from Hillrise to the three arches. Asked for taxi for four people. Taxi arrived five minutes early very impatient. We could barely get in before he was away. We couldn't fit four adults in the taxi they sent although they have five seater vehicles. Why didn't they send two. Couldn't move in the back to put seatbelts on. We asked him to stop and pull over. He did grudgingly the front passenger moved to the back as he was smaller. The driver then sped off again still without seatbelts fastened. He must have had an indicator in the car showing the seatbelts weren't on. We were going to a 70 th party with the guess in the car. Journey was shocking and moreover dangerous. Needless to say you won't be getting my custom again.

Had a taxi with Owen Morris card 12, on the service was outstanding. He's a real asset to the company. I felt welcome and safe. He picked me up from Bridgend and take me to Cardiff. I didn't have a phone charger. It did everything he could to give me a charger to ensure that my phone was charged and that I was safe when I left the car. Like I said, is it real asset to the company and greatly appreciated.

Booked a taxi on the 27th December for 1am new years day to collect myself and my children. Rang them them on the morning on 31st to double confirm someone would definitely pick us up as I had my children to get home. Confirmed booking, only to get to 1am and no taxi turn up. Ring them to politely ask where our car was, told a delay, no problem remind them I have children with me and keep waiting only for them to cancel my booking at 2am and tell us no driver available. Absolutely appalling service for a prebooked service. No solution offered, left stranded with my children on the busiest night of the year.

Absolutely disgusted with the person we spoke to on the phone. I Booked a taxi on the app which said 6 minute wait. We wasn’t in a rush so after 25 minutes of no confirmation we gave a ring and the absolute rude person we spoke to told who rudely told us it was another 35-50 minutes waiting time after waiting almost half a hour. He was absolutely rude and disgraceful on the phone. I’m not one to argue and mouth off at the situation to a operator, but after the conversation I had with todays so called “manager” I am disgusted… I always use dragon taxi Newport as a transport when needed and I have never been spoken to with such disgust, disregard and disrespect. I am absolutely disgusted! (Early hours, about 2am)

( CONMAN DRIVER BEWARE THIS COMPANY ) Driver has conned my 72yr mother out of £60 for a £21.30 fare..insiting she kept giving him £5 when in fact I gave her the £20 to pay for her fare home !!! DISGUSTING will never use this company ever again ..when I rang company the operator said because we got into the taxi ourselves and not used a phone to call them then we wont likely find the nasty driver my mother is in tears and shaken up because he raised his voice when she explained £20 notes is all she had in her purse ..my mother now has £40 less out of her pension THANKS TO A VILE CON MAN..conning old people is the lowest of the low and if your reading this be very ashamed of yourself. I have reported this and will be involving the police if they can help

Absolutely disgusting. Left stranded on my own. Booked for 1am, didnt turn up, phoned & taxi cancelled, operator said nothing they could do & hung up on me, taxi cancelled as no cars!!!! They need their licence revoked!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely awful service. I booked a taxi at 1am which was confirmed for a 1:45am pick up, had to call at 2am to see where driver was, I was told one would be sent immediately and received a text. No taxi at 3am so called up to find there are no taxis in our area. Completely unacceptable
