The breakdown cover policy…
The breakdown cover policy automatically renewed, Dynamo claim they notified me but I have no record of notifications, the original policy was £15, but they auto renewed it at £50, they refused to refund me, and although I cancelled the policy within the 14 days cooling off period, all they refunded me was .55p, DO NOT USE, CROOKS!

Absolutely terrible experience. My policy was auto-renewed without clear or adequate notice, and the money was taken straight from my card. I realised only after the charge went through.
Trying to resolve this has been frustrating and stressful. Customer support is slow, unhelpful, and feels deliberately obstructive when it comes to refunds. You’re passed around, policies are quoted selectively, and there’s zero accountability.
What’s most concerning is that after checking Trustpilot, I can see this exact issue is repeatedly reported by many customers — unexpected renewals, refusal or delays in refunds, and poor communication. This is clearly not a one-off.
If you value transparency, fair billing, and decent customer service, stay away. I regret choosing Dynamo and will never use them again. There are far better and more honest providers out there.

I told them i dont wish to renew the policy.. So sent another email to their admin account. 18 February, Explained the setiations ;told them again you don't recognise your own access code you sending me, so I can not even log in to my account, How I could manage to call you if I NEEDED urgently for brake down SERVICE?!.... I told them I don't want to outo reneval and I don't want to wish to renew my policy with you anymore.
I spent a few hours, different times was not possible to see my account. Anyway I took another account from Green Flag Brake down recovery services. Started 1Feb 2026 And I have sent another email to Dynamo' Admin online service. I told again I don't want any renewal from you also I have policy from another company . No replys.
Today 08 February,2026, I I received two emails, from Dynamo telling me they renewed my policy.?! they withdraw £59.99 without my consent or authorization?!
I am so much upset because very limited amount was available in my bank, just to cover to monthly Dirrect Debits,specially after Christmas spending,and unaccepted clutch replacement jus last week cost me over £600.00 . Also I have already account from the Green flag paid them too. I never seen that ignorance. I still couldn't see the account details or policy number I didn't approved. Now I can understand they did this only, for me to cancel the outo renewed policy so that they can charge me cancelling fee. Such a dishonest company. Seems to a one person company.

Not at all sympathetic to my extenuating circumstances of illness which meant I couldn't activate my policy in time, being charged a fee. My situation was not even acknowledged and no promo code or goodwill gesture offered, despite being a loyal customer and javing used them previously.

Great Customer Experience
The process was simple. I made the call to request assistance. i received a text message to complete my details and received a response within 5 mins to advise an ETA was within 0620hrs-0920hrs. I then received confirmation that my request and been sent to a local recovery firm and was able to track their location. The recovery arrived just over an hour after my request. The guy was really nice, he showed empathy to my situation and resolved the issue. I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience.

The whole process was made easy. We phoned and were then kept informed as to the arrival of the breakdown truck. The driver was very polite and brought the car home. Please note though that they are unable to transport dogs in the truck only people. We arrived home safely

Buy premium cover, get low level of cover
You don't get the level of cover you've paid for. The cover detailed in the policy small print is significantly lower than you see on the web at time of buying. I challenged this but they refuse to engage with me by email and they do not have a customer service phone line. Even well within the cooling off period and before cover is due to start, the cancellation charge is 90% of the premium paid. I will be taking it to the regulatory body but they have even failed to give me a final response to my complaint.

My policy auto renewed and when I asked for a refund within the 14 days of renewing my policy I received no refund and they wanted to charge me an extra £5 for the cancellation.
I spent nearly an hour in the online portal looking for the option stop auto renewals and there isn’t an option. The only state that you can email them but when you try to email them they don’t give you the option to contact them regarding auto renewals. They replied when I emailed their contact email for online assistance, and the replied stating that I am responsible for managing my online portal and can stop auto renewals online. Still haven’t been able to find the option, because they want to make life hard for you and make it impossible to stop renewals so they can charge you when you cancel your policy.

Company will add extras to your policy without notice upon renewal. They deliberately make it impossible to talk to anyone on the phone outside of making a claim. They also charge a fortune to cancel within the 14 day window. Stay away from this company at all costs. One slip up will cost a fortune
Avoid - Scam
I bought temporary European breakdown cover, and added a parts and labour cover at the same time. Dynamo are now trying to make me pay a £7.50 cancellation fee to stop the policy auto renewing, when the policy was only ever for a weeks temporary insurance.
I only added the Parts and Labour as an add on but it created an additional policy, which also has a £7.50 cancellation fee. Will never use them again.
