By far the worse company in the history…

By far the worse company in the history of business. I was just "hung up" on by a customer service rep when I was charged more to have an item shipped to me via the Walmart website than the actual item itself and asked the shipping fee. Be careful WALMART used 3rd party vendors that charge exorbitant prices for shipping just to get over on customers. When the customer service person could not tell me how much it cost to ship from their warehouse... she hung up. I wish I could walk into this place I'd have a different response without question.

If there was anything below 1 star I would rate them -that!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you want service!!! You have to call 1-888-615-3955 Pressing 1 or 2 when prompted gets you to Customer Service (ha ha what a joke) they are in Manila Philippines and they have little or no ability to resolve anything. When asked for a supervisor or any one in the US you get put on hold. I was on hold for over an hour and nothing!

My order #200285219 - was made with my Debit Card (which was a good thing because they didn't get my money thanks to my bank) had I used my MC or Visa all of the Philippines would have my card number / exp. date and verification number.

Because East Coast Hardware does not follow standard rules of banking regarding debit cards they cancelled my order WITHOUT notification to me. They claim they sent an email but i never received it. I even asked them to resend the cancellation email.... Still Waiting on that to happen...

End of story... this is a CRAP company and I would RUN not walk away from them!

This is a review for EastCoasthardware.com. I just wanted to share my viewpoint (for what it's worth), After I ordered a small item (travel mug) on Tuesday I was closing the open tabs on my browser and there was one for review site so I checked out the store I just ordered from and to be perfectly honest I was worried. Normally my due diligence on reviewing the stores works the way it should, this time because it was a cheaper item I didn't do the above-mentioned due diligence. Kind of like closing the barn door after the horses have escaped I decided to check it out. Wow.... not a single site was in love with East Coast hardware, just the opposite. Well I had $28 invested in my order so I thought I would just rely on luck. I was quite pleased with the whole experience. All the way from rapid shipping, to my order arriving in a timely manner. In fact I have to say they probably did a better job than Amazon's been doing lately. My order was in good shape, and the tracking information was provided in a rapid manner. What more can I say, I was thoroughly satisfied with my product and with the seller.

Buyer Beware

I ordered two window shades from. East Coast Hardware and i only received one shade in a huge box. When I spoke to the girl ..she was rude and dismissive..she asked me to go to walmsrt.com because that was where the order was placed and start a ticket for missing item..REALLY! why do i have to start a ticket..you know u only sent one shade..finally i was so frustrated that i asked to process a refund which seemed easier. HOWEVER I NEEDED THE SECOND SHADE I HAVE TWO WINDOWS EASTCOASTHARDWARE.i will order from AMAZON.COM INSTEAD..STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE..

Ordered Sump Pump

After several attempts to get a part from East Coast Hardware that was not delivered with the original order, they gave the worst customer service experience in the world. The order was placed in May 2020. On May 14th, we reached out to the East Coast Hardware and spoke with Sherylene, she was helpful and she issued a ticket number. Well the promises she made fell through, so I called again on May 20, June 1, and again on June 15th. We talked to Sherylene, Marie, Pamela and then a supervisor. We were asked to provide pictures of what we received, we were asked to pull the part back out the ground and to send it back. We were promised a refund. Finally, after almost two months of BS, they finally told us the part number and said we needed to order it. We went online and found the part at LOWES for a measly $10. Are you kidding me???? East Coast Hardware, you will NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM ME.

This place is a Bait and Switch…

This place is a Bait and Switch operation, they list items they don't have yet allow you to place orders to get your contact information. They cancel orders by saying you didn't provide a valid phone number yet you did, or that your order was damage in the warehouse, or some other excuse. They won't be honest even if you call them, they will tell you everything is good yet later you will receive an Email saying the order has been closed. If they have all your contact information why can't they call and explain things? They just don't care about customers!
Yes Im frustrated, I had place 5 different orders over two weeks and not one item was ever delivered.

East Coast Hardware Is Bad To The Bone

I had searched for weeks for a rectangular cantilever umbrella for my wife's birthday. I found one that was perfect on wayfair and waited about seven days and on the day of delivery got a message that it wouldn't arrive until August. I cancelled it and started searching again and came across East Coast Hardware. The umbrella I got is twice as nice as wayfair...larger with surrounding mosquito net and solar lights. I paid $100.00 more than I would have at wayfair and got twice as much for my money. I paid to have it arrive in two days on Saturday evening on Tuesday my umbrella arrived and put together in about 45 minutes. $302.00 I found one without the netting in Ocean City Maryland for $1450.00

SCAM

This is clearly a scam. My friend and I both ordered a Yeti Cooler from East Coast Hardware and we both received a container of Mr Clean instead. Contacted the seller who could offer no explanation or even an attempt to sell the right product. They only said I had to file a claim through Amazon. It is pretty clear that East Coast Hardware is using false advertising to try and scam customers. Absolutely disgusted.

Stay away

Stay away! Dropship scammers - I ordered a sink, it was delivered in 2 days... in pieces. They promise 30-day return - that's a total lie! I called them, emailed pictures, they told me to "wait until they contact the manufacturer about sending it back and getting return authorization...". I am still waiting... Meanwhile, we got a sink from Home Depot. The broken sink is still clogging our hallway. Don't waste your time and money on these scammers!

I wished I would of read the reviews…

I wished I would of read the reviews before I ordered my cleaning supplies...200278789 I ordered these items overnight on June 30th I currently have not received them and it is now 9 days after the fact. I am beyond frustrated with this company. I will NEVER order from them again. I called and spoke to someone with a heavy accent overseas...she of course offered me no assistance! I have asked for my overnight fee I paid for and they stated they will put a request in...what?

Garbage Scam Site

Garbage Scam site. No confirmation number but they sure take your money. Do not give them card info. Not a single person from their overseas call center can answer your questions or find your info and will promptly hang up. Contacting BBB

Never received Item Ordered even though they confirmed order

Placed an order, never received confirmation but took a screenshot so I had a confirmation number. Called to see if they had received it and they did. Still never received the item after a month, called and they said the order was cancelled on their end for some reason, no notes in the system. Horrible company, will never order from them again.

Think twice before ordering from East Coast Hardware

I purchased an item from East Coast Hardware and my order was cancelled without notification. I called the customer service line and was told my credit card company cancelled the transaction. I then called my credit card company and they said the charge was actually reversed by East Coast Hardware and my card was still active. East Coast Hardware's customer service then told me to place the order again and I did. I called them two days later to find out they cancelled my order without notification again, alleging it was still the credit card company. I asked them to look into the item and they told me it was marked 'out of stock' the day before. So essentially it seems like East Coast Hardware either lied to me or was ignorant of the reality in order to cover their inventory and web site issues.

I wish I would have read these reviews first...

I bought a bike helmet for my child recently and even though my credit card was charged I never received a confirmation email. I tried emailing and calling multiple times with no answer to either the phone calls or the emails.

What kind of business is this? Who runs businesses like this? Either do it right or don't do it at all.

Blacklisted for me.

This company is FRAUD and LIARS!!!

This company is FRAUD and LIARS!!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM even tho they answer their phone and tell you what you want to hear!!! I saw how they have perfect reviews on their site then if you go to google it has terrible but accurate reviews!! I ordered a pool which was confirmed with order # and have it in writing that they shipped it. They stated on the phone it was shipped and that it was in stock when I purchased it with the help of the associate. I waited three weeks with no reply from the company then called them and find out they canceled the order and stated it wasn’t in stock!!! This has prevented me to get a pool anywhere in the nation even if I buy the most expensive item nothing is in stock now that they had me wait a month into the summer!!! They never had the item in stock in the first place and bold faced lied to me multiple times stating it was shipped!!!!! All they want to do is get your purchase locked in and then find anyone that has the pool so you buy from them but they never verified that they really had the pool in stock and just tell you anything!! I also have been waiting for a manger and of course they can’t get one on the phone !! I will be reporting this company to the consumer protection bureau and FTC as well as all complaint sites for illegal practices!!

Terrible return policy.

I received the items I ordered in a timely manner but needed to return some of them. The return process and the 15% restocking fee is ridiculous. The items hadn't even been opened from the box they were shipped in. I should have just gone with Home Depot or any other store that has a reasonable return policy.

I would give 0 stars if I could..

I would give 0 stars if I could... I purchased a pool for the last 2 weeks tracking says it is sitting in their warehouse. When I call, no matter what time of day or how many times, no one answers their phones (customer service and sales). I tried to submit a ticket and the response was "There has been an error processing your request". Guess the only thing working their is the ability to take money from people. Unfortunately I paid with my debit card, instead of with my credit card, so it's going to be harder for me to get my money back. But I plan on writing to the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs and also contacting the NJ Attorney General, since that is where there business is located. TOTAL SCAM... stick w/Amazon, at least you have some degree of getting your money back when you use them.

BUYER BEWARE

I ordered a pool on 5/2/2020 and received an order confirmation advising it would be shipping in 5-7 days. I called their Customer service team on 5/15/2020 to track the pool and I was first advised that they were now on back order and didn't know when they would be able to fill the order. I requested to speak to a decision maker and was sent to the "Escalations Department" which basically was a line that hung up on me.

I called in a second time and found out that the order was actually CANCELLED ON 5/4/2020!! There was no communication about this. Evidently their system automatically cancelled the order and then NEVER REFUNDED my money. I am now having to go through their "Escalations team" to get a ticket submitted to refund my money for the order that THEY cancelled. BUYER BEWARE! This is not a reputable company!
