Hiding Charges/Poor Customer Service.

I go to this takeaway every now and then for my Fish & Chips. However, tonight I went onto their website for the very first time. I was presented with a 15% discount of my first order. So I registered using my computer, NOT AN APP. Input my mobile number and placed my order. I purchased 1 Fish and Chips, price stated £12.50 and I was picking up from the shop, as its just round the corner. So I went onto pay with my credit card and assumed I was paying £10.63 and placed the order. £12.50 MINUS 15% = £10.63. When I checked my credit card, the shop had charged me £11.33p. I complained to the shop over the phone. I then emailed them with my complaint. The email response was there is a £0.70 processing fee????? Nowhere on the site does it mention about a processing fee. If it had done I would not have paid it and just went along to the shop as its 30 seconds along the road and placed my order in the shop, that way I would not have been paying an extra £0.70 for my food. The reply I got in the email was its standard practice for all APPS? I never used an app, I used their website directly on the web. I must say I was shocked with their response, so this is why I am letting everyone know what they are actually doing. I will be contacting the East Lothian Trading Standards first thing on Monday the 9th September 2024, and have them look into this matter. SHOCKED.
