No Delivery Tracking and Wrong Food Sent
This is not the first company I have used for meal delivery, but I can say by far that it is the worst. They have no tracking system to show you when your food is going to be delivered. According to my account, my food was scheduled to be delivered on Monday, May 26th. It never showed up. As of Tuesday night at 8:30 the food was still not delivered and I had no way to know where the food was, yet they had collected my money. When I woke up Wednesday morning to go to work, the box of food was outside my garage. I have NO IDEA when the food was delivered, or if it sat out all night. I unpacked it and the ice was warm, so all of the meals had to be thrown away. Additionally, when I looked at what they'd sent me, none of it was what I actually ordered! Cancelled my subscription IMMEDIATELY. I left a voicemail to complain to try to get my money back and no one has called me back.
Meals good; fair value at the initial discount pricing.
Meals were good; not great. Quality was good and variety was nice. Preparation simple and quick. At the initial discount pricing the value was appropriate. On an ongoing basis, purchasing at the non-discounted normal pricing, I would consider the value to be expensive.
Good food shady billing practices
I skipped my order because I was going to be out of town. I even had email confirmation it was canceled. I then got billed and saw a shipment was coming. When I called they said I had replaced my order, canceled and replaced again. I didn’t get any emails that I replaced the order.
Apparently logging in automatically reorders your shipment for the week. I was logging in to choose meals for the following week under the assumption it was still canceled for week.
The company refused to refund me. I like the food and health benefits but their website and customer service gets 0 stars.

Excellent Customer Service
I had previously had some issues trying to reach customer service at Eat Clean and that has since been remedied I'm thrilled to say! The kind and thoughtful response addressing my questions and concerns I received today completely changed my opinion and I encourage others to try them or if you've tried them to give them another chance as they are building up a robust customer service team to handle the increased volume of customers!

Still working on the first week and so far so good. Compared to Hello Fresh and Factor these meals are better. A bit pricey though so we may have to cut back on the number we order each week.
Finally - lower sodium food you want to eat! OR NOT.
This is the fifth meal plan I've tried. I'd say the meals are overall pretty decent - especially considering that I only chose meals with very little sodium.
BUT, I don't believe the meals are nearly as low sodium as the labels indicate.
Some of the meals tasted overly salted in fact. Some of the meals indicated lower sodium than would be possible based on the ingredients listed on the label.
I contacted Eat Clean, and although they did respond eventually, they could not provide any assurance that the nutrition labels were accurate.

Like other reviews, the company charges you BEFORE you can see the menu. Once I reviewed what they offered, I realized I could not eat the food, so I canceled the account. However, they still charged my card and sent me a delivery. Why? Well, when I called the number, the "customer service" said I canceled the account but not the delivery/order. And she could not provide me with any refund since she just "follows orders." She said she would have a manager call me but of course that never happened. Being charged before you can even see the menu - seriously?

The Pros - The food is good & I lost some weight
The Cons - There's no variety. They keep sending the same meals. Sometimes, there have been small chunks of bones in the meat and pieces of shrimp tail in the shrimp meals.
The horrible - Due to the issues above and the price of the meals, I decided to cancel. I've contacted them repeatedly requesting to cancel yet they keep chipping and charging me. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and DO NOT RESPOND or take action. I am blocking them from my credit card and disputing their last shipment. That seems to be the only way to cancel.
Sketchy. Be Very Careful
I was concerned that they wanted my card info before I even joined. Unfortunately, I found out why. Immediately after filling out my personal info and card they debited my account. I was then able to view the menu. The food did not appeal to me at all. I tried to immediately cancel and nothing. Phone number didn't work. Chat didn't work. I sent emails which they responded to the next day saying it was too late to cancel. They were already setting up a SECOND delivery!!! After much back and forth I'm stuck getting a box of food I did not pick...or want. I have tried just about all the food delivery companies and all of them let you see the menu before joining and all cancel or pause your subscription at your request. This one does not.
First order great! Second, a total disaster and horrible customer service if you can even reach them
So the first order, bravo, was perfect. Enjoyed the change from my previous provider in terms of menu. Second order? Disaster. Was delivered a day late, and was all spoiled, all over 50+ degrees up to 65 degrees. So after leaving voicemails, and not getting a response, I kept calling until I got someone. Lady said "Oh, I'll ship you a replacement box". While concerning, I thought okay, lets see how that goes. So now what should have come Monday, it's now Wednesday night and these meals are questionable for being able to eat, the ice packs are mostly melted and the stuff in the middle may or may not be okay. If I get sick, I'll take proper legal action. I'm very ill, multiple cancers, heart attack, immunosuppressed, so rolling the dice may not be the best bet. But this is how I get meals is from a service like this. They did okay on order # 1. Order # 2, the reveal of the customer service process showed up. Keep getting hung up on, nobody there, they just hang up and you have to call back. It's not the way a company should do business. Oh, and by the way, the stuff I got was stuff that had been prepared that should have been delivered Monday, so I lost days on the freshness of it. I used a Ryobi IR001 laser thermometer to determine the temperature of the meals. And again, the ice packs - 2 mini packs, in a box that has some paper and cotton like insulation, and it simply is awful. I'm sure it's because it is cheaper, but it's not working and nobody really cares. Send me more meals that are not in a good temperature range. Sure, that is a good plan. And they shorted me the extras I ordered, so another multiple phone calls made to get to someone who would answer the phone, and it was someone from an offshore company. She said she'd refund me the add ons that were not shipped. My advice? Stay away! First time luck I guess, and maybe other orders would be okay? But I rely on these as I can't go shopping at the store, don't have the energy to prepare stuff, and frankly if it's too much effort I just won't do it. The shame of it is the the food is not ultraprocesed as was evidenced by my CGM. At least the ones I did eat from the first order. I have paused future orders with intent on cancelling when the refund is processed.
Lots of Options for Modified Diets
I love the paleo and gluten free options, as well as traditional meals for the various members of my family. I would like when the meals arrived they were labeled with common allergens, especially soy. Soy triggers migraines for me.

Paid $50 for dusty, vomit smelling food
Paid $50 for the first box. Tried a bite of everything from every box and just not edible. I’m not a picky eater, but it was disgusting. The chicken, for example, was like the turkey from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation: empty and dried out. It was like eating dust. Omg the sauce on some of these meals smells exactly like vomit. It was so bad. Threw all away.
Stay clear of this company
Stay clear of this company. I ordered my first plan with their trial and then I cancelled. A month later, they went ahead and charged me anyway. The customer service is awful, if they even pick up. Food is mediocre at best. Go elsewhere with you money.
Eat Clean will steal your money
I placed an Eat Clean order in February 2025. I was supposed to receive it on Feb 24, 2025. Their website said it was delivered even though I never got it. I called support and notified them I didn't receive it. i told them I no longer wanted the service and asked for a refund. They promised a refund with 10 - 14 days. It is now May 4th and I still haven't gotten my money back. I've called them three times over a the course of two months for a refund. Each time they promise to refund my money. They are a scam. Don't order unless you like throwing away your money.

The food always arrives on time. Our family feels good knowing that we are able to eat meals that meet all of our unique dietary needs.

Do not go with this company
Do not go with this company. I ordered my first shipment trying to find a convenient way to order dinner. I ate my first one and an hour later had diarrhea got progressively worse with throwing up through the night. Called them the next morning and asked for a refund. They said they would refund but we’ll see.
It’s been 1 month no refund and keep stringing me along 4th and lads time calling today.
