Why is eBay so useless at protecting buyers? I was promised a refund by a lousy business named "Baksol Trusted Shop". Now they say they cannot find my order! This is obviously a scam but eBay is not... See more

Used to be reliable but returns no longer accepted and users can remove accounts (and set up new ones) so you can't review them. I wasted £75 on a galaxy watch that was dsyfunctional. Used to make £100s of purchases a year on eBay but clearly the protection is no longer there
as if using Evri wasn't rubbish enough
as if using Evri wasn't rubbish enough, I've just been scammed. The listing has disappeared and the seller's got my money but there's zero customer support from Ebay. Going round in circles trying to find a direct contact - you'd think they would be concerned enough about fake sellers to make it a priority - nope, just redirected to Action Fraud. I can do that without Ebay's help but as Ebay is allowing this seller to carry on listing and scamming £100 off each "buyer" and many will simply let it go and take it as a lesson learnt, ll facing the sam avoidance from Ebay. Be careful!
So sellers are allowed to scam…
So sellers are allowed to scam customers, I bought a pair of brand new LV sliders, sent a nice message asking where they were, I’ll post them know but had to ask a couple days later again because what these eBay sellers do, is use Royal Mail tracking system so you think the seller has sent it but when you check it out, Royal Mail tracking system says we are still waiting for the package from the sender, I pulled the seller up on this, he then gave me another tracking number, so I called the seller out for being a scammer, and I even said to the seller your taking peoples money, then sending knock offs from China, that’s probably why it’s taking so long but I get told off from eBay, yet the seller didn’t deny it, on his feedback somebody else calling him out for being a scammer, well am done with EBay not buying another thing from them, look after the sellers not the buyers
Absolute worst company in existance
Absolute worst company in existance. Customer service is disgraceful.
Sellers on ebay are misleading in so…
Sellers on ebay are misleading in so many ways stating one price then then another price appears when contacted Ebay aren't that much use and sellers come back with excuse after excuse. Just lately it seems ebay is more for the seller than for the buyer which is wrong.
Very poor customer service
I rang eBay twice as my account was permanently suspended even though I haven’t done anything that goes against the community guide lines. I logged in after a year and I receive an email saying I’m restricted so when I asked the reasoning they refused to tell me what I have done wrong and rudely cut the call off mid way me speaking absolutely atrocious. Not happy wiv the customer service I had

TRIED TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE NO JOY JUST KEEP GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES ON WEBSITE
Avoid tokirosix and ebay
There is a photo of six boxes of pudding sold by tokirosix . The implication is crystal clear that an order consists of 6 boxes. I got one box, for over £9, and it is impossible to get in touch with either ebay or tokirosix. Never again, Ebay; never again tokirosix.

Scammers,what a shame customer service.
Absolutely worst website to sell item on,customer service not helpful,i sell my item on ebay and the item never arrived to buyer report to ebay and show it was lost through Royal mail delivery system, found out telling me there’s nothing we can do to help, which was okay but the worst part is Ebay charged me £71 to pay them of listing item on their website but i lost my item and the buyer got their full refund on me i did get anything after lost my item. But to charge me,what a shame website fully of scam.
Counterfeit items sold reportedly by the same seller
I do love me a bit of eBay however sellers like bonniecouture should be banned and to many counterfeit items being sold this seller in particular sells 30 + Ralph Lauren jackets a month all fake and when u call her out she says she bought them from a Ralph Lauren store which is ridiculous given the number she is selling the quality is poor sizing is wrong and that’s because they r fake items, reported to eBay repeatedly and yet nothing is done so I’ve now reported to Ralph Lauren themselves and a counterfeit department it’s sad that sellers like this openly get away with selling counterfeit items
Ebay has become a extension of aliexpress. Also ebay also allows sellers to deceive buyers by advertising lower prices on the search but when you view the page it is a higher price
Ebay seems to have become a extension of aliexpress, a lot of items you buy on ebay come from aliexpress.
Ebay also allow sellers to manipulate the search by advertising lower prices, but when you view the item page you have to select the item from a drop down menu and it will be a lot more money (the price in the search will be for a completely unrelated item)
Ebay also allow sellers to put up images saying (for instance) "4 pieces", so you think you will get 4, well you dont, you will get just one.
I have put in complaints many times about the above issues, the reply from ebay is always the same "We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent"
And they wonder why more and more people are no longer shopping on ebay.
I bought a glass for a 40th birthday…
I bought a glass for a 40th birthday present - "Vintage 1986 " from a seller listed as "Meh 25". (And pretty meh they are! )
Handed it over at the birthday party- it was opened and instead of what was ordered, it was a "Daddy Sippy Cup"- whatever the heck that it is. The seller is ignoring requests for a refund and Ebay won't get involved because the " 30 day window is up".
Just rubbish. I've used EBay for years, never bothered with Amazon account - but that is where I'm headed. Basically if you are buying a present for someone, and that present comes in a sealed presentation box, my advice is DON'T USE EBay. And when someone tells you they are "meh"- believe them.

After years and years of using ebay what a waste of time and money it is now. Can't wait to delete my account. Never again ebay you useless piece of s***
Very disappointed with my recent…
Very disappointed with my recent experience selling on eBay. I accidentally switched my account to a business account after my listings were already live, and suddenly I was hit with unexpected VAT and selling fees on completed sales.
I contacted customer support multiple times explaining that I’m only a casual private seller and that the account change was a mistake, but I feel like my concerns have not been properly resolved. The communication has been frustrating and I’ve spent far too much time trying to get a clear answer.
I believe these charges should be refunded as a goodwill gesture, as the listings were created while my account was still personal. I’m now seeking compensation for the inconvenience and for the unexpected fees taken from my sales.
Really disappointing experience from a platform I’ve used for years.
I do not recommend eBay
I do not recommend eBay. I wanted to make a claim about an item, but customer service told me they only guarantee the 30-day money back period and that I should contact Citizens Advice instead.
I told them their customer service is not good and that I will not be buying through eBay anymore. Amazon may be more expensive, but their customer service is much better in my experience.
I would not recommend buying expensive items through eBay, and overall I do not recommend the platform.
Absolutely disgusting treatment
Absolutely disgusting treatment. I have been a buyer and seller on eBay for 20 years and recently purchased an item from a private seller. Item never arrived, just the tracking label attached to a completely different item not even addressed to me! I was assured by customer services I was covered by their buyers money back policy, only to have them close the case! I am out of pocket £40. I will never use eBay again
