The process is extremely simple and easy to follow, so I'd definitely use this service again if needed, but the payout for the brand and type of phone could be better. The two phones I used were bot... See more

The machine accepted two phones from me give me a price for them. The third phone I put in the machine it froze up. The phone was never returned and I was never paid the money for the other two phones. Tried to call customer service and stood there for over an hour and nobody ever answered my call.

I love the automated system, very smart. I was disappointed that I only got $2 for my cell phone

It took a long time. The price for it was not expected, but it was best to recycle it.

I washed my iPhone 12, black, 64 gig a few days, it stopped working completely a tried everything. A friend reminding me that I could take it to a ecoatm, in 2026, with a broken iPhone 12, no cracks on screen or back glass, ecostar gave me $22 for it.
Not bad for a water logged iPhone

This is a good way to keep old phones out of the landfill and at least get some cash value out of them. The only issue I have is going online and submitting the information for the phone you are turning in, getting an email stating "Another Price Locked" when it isn't really a lock. It is an "up to" amount and can be significantly lower once you get to the kiosk. Adding "you have a limited amount of time to get to an ecoATM and get paid for that used phone" is misleading. There really isn't a guarantee that the email is providing. Using the kiosk is like a startover anyway. You're going to get what is offered at the kiosk. What's the point of the email? I had 2 phones; I had 2 emails with offers. Using the "I have another device" option at the kiosk apparently removes the ability to use both "Drop-off" codes provided in the email. The kiosk recognized the first code, but wouldn't recognize the second one. Technical glitch, but affects the customer experience and trust in the system to provide an honest assessment of a phone's turn-in value. My total according to the email: $61.00 for both. Total realized at the kiosk: $38.00 for both.

Could have took those phones to another refurbishing business...Definitely would have been more than 8 dollars. False advertisement regarding pricing is very disrespectful.
