Dark-Side Debt Collection Company (Melbourne Office):
Based on my recent personal experience; This is a dodgy debt collection company owned by a previously sanctioned lawyer. Debt collection laws and rules were not adhered to, would not prove the alleged debt, even chased their alleged debt during an external dispute resolution process which they MUST NOT do but did anyways! Their letters and content is misleading. Google, Legal Services Board Vic, VCAT, afca.org.au or Consumer Law Action Centre maybe your friends here. Get eCollect to prove any alleged debt, any fees legal or otherwise they claim. Demand only communications in written letter format via AustPost <--- this is a lawful request and MUST BE abided by any debt collector... Would you care to guess if eCollect abided by this simple basic legal debt collection rule in my interaction with them??? My alleged debts were rescinded, I wonder how much that cost their client?
