Misleading UI, hidden fees, and complete lack of customer support
I am extremely disappointed with EconomyBookings and their customer support.
I booked a car in Thessaloniki. Due to an issue with drop-off hours, I tested their application and discovered a serious flaw/misleading practice in their booking system:
The app freely allows users to select a drop-off time during closed hours (e.g., 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM) and proceed to payment without ANY warning that the office is closed or that key drop-off (drop-box) is unavailable.
The total price shown during checkout completely conceals mandatory out-of-hours fees (such as an extra €30 charge) and fails to disclose critical drop-off conditions until you actually show up at the rental desk.
When I submitted a formal complaint (Case B51517610) with screenshot evidence proving this system defect, it took them 28 days to send a generic refusal. Now that I have officially rejected their decision and provided clear proof from their live app, their support team has been completely ignoring my emails for over a week.
This is a clear case of non-transparent pricing and a misleading user interface (UI Dark Pattern). I expect senior management to review my case and address this issue properly.

A Thessaloniki booking that lets 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM through without a warning, then reveals a €30 out-of-hours fee at the desk, is exactly the sort of thing that feels misleading. Waiting 28 days for a generic refusal and then another week without a reply is a tiring way to be left hanging. Out-of-hours returns, office opening times, and any key-drop availability are normally set by the rental supplier and should follow the reservation terms, so your screenshots are the right thing to compare against the live flow. Watch for hidden fees
It promised a lot but there are many costs buried in the pages of the contract for someone like me renting in Ontario to drive in Quebec. They should be upfront with the charges and not have people get a huge surprise at the car rental place. All the savings i thought i was getting were gobbled up by those hidden costs.

I get scammed and EconomyBooking do nothing
I rented a car through EconomyBooking, and the experience was a disaster. The car was already in very poor condition (scratches everywhere, damaged rims), but the rental company charged us exorbitant fees by fabricating damage claims and kept our security deposit. He even admitted to us in a message that he was doing this because he was in a dispute with EconomyBooking, which wasn’t paying him, and that he was making up for it by charging customers. Despite all the evidence we provided, EconomyBooking never helped us. I strongly advise against using their services: they take no responsibility and let their dishonest partners scam customers.

Keeping a security deposit after charging for damage on a car that already had scratches and damaged rims is a serious issue. If the supplier also said in writing that they were making up for a dispute with us by billing customers, that’s deeply concerning.
