Truly shocking Customer Service from EconomyBookings.com. I was left stranded at the remote Frankfurt Hahn airport all night after my weekend car rental cancelled and with no email/text or call from to let me know it had been cancelled. My ‘crime’ putting the UK airline times on booking (despite me booking in the UK) and despite me also giving them my airline flight number on the original booking. Being left Stranded at an airport all night, with no car and being charged for the privilege with REFUND REFUSED is a shambles. I would never use them again and wholeheartedly would NEVER recommend. Abysmal company with little to no care for the customers and no interest in putting things right. Shocking

Being left at Frankfurt Hahn all night without a car, and then seeing the charge stay put, is a brutal outcome. If the pickup was entered against UK airline times rather than the actual flight arrival time, the supplier may have treated it as a missed collection under the booking terms — but a cancellation without a clear email, text or call is still a serious gap. My experience with EconomyBookings has…
My experience with EconomyBookings has been absolutely unacceptable. The rental car I received had a damaged windshield, which completely disrupted my trip. Instead of enjoying my vacation, I spent valuable time dealing with a problem that should never have existed in the first place. This ruined my trip and wasted both my time and money.
What made the experience even worse was the so-called "Full Coverage" that I purchased through EconomyBookings. At the rental counter, I was told that this is an EconomyBookings product and that it does not provide the comprehensive protection that the name "Full Coverage" suggests. I was informed that it mainly covers items like the windshield and tires, while collision damage is not actually covered by the rental company. If that is true, then calling it "Full Coverage" is extremely misleading.
Customers purchase "Full Coverage" expecting comprehensive protection against major damage, including collision. Using that name while excluding significant types of damage creates confusion and leaves customers believing they are protected when they may not be. I paid extra for peace of mind, but instead I was left feeling misled and frustrated.
Based on my experience, EconomyBookings failed to provide a vehicle in proper condition and sold a protection product that was presented in a way that did not match my expectations. I will never use EconomyBookings again and cannot recommend them to anyone. I expect the company to take responsibility for the inconvenience, compensate me for the losses caused, and clearly explain the actual coverage instead of using terminology that customers can reasonably interpret as comprehensive protection.

What you were told at the counter is the key distinction: Full Coverage is a reimbursement-based product, so it doesn’t act like a waiver at pickup and it doesn’t replace the supplier’s own damage rules. The name can sound broader than the cover actually is, which is a fair point to raise.

As a return customer, I'm quite satisfied overall with the booking process, the booking was done in NZ$, but charged against my Credit card in US$, why is that?
The booking is for a car at Brisbane Australia, therefore I would not be overly concerned if it was reflected in AU$ which is the provider country currency. I've checked on xe.com and the conversion from US$ to NZ$ is spot on though. Just totally unexpected to do business in Australia and pay in US$.
