ISP broke their own policy. When collecting evidence for my case I was unable to obtain any logs. Seriously Eero? No user viewable logs? So yeah, the routers don't allow you to view information logs... See more

Blanket your home in fast, reliable WiFi. eero is the world’s first home WiFi system. A set of three eeros covers the typical home. They work in perfect unison to deliver hyper-fast, super-stable WiFi to every square foot. It’s simple to set up. Easy to manage. And gets better over time with new features and improved performance. Stream video, get work done, or swipe right in any room — not just next to your router. Finally. WiFi that actually works.

AVOID
AVOID! I was sold two routers and the set price agreed. I made the man who knocked o. My door very welcome and its was all done very quickly and signed . A week later the routers came and was installed. Then a bill got taken which was was not the said bill. Spoke to customer service and the management team said I could have it for 6 months at the agreed price but then had to pay what they decided upon themselves. So I was scamed. You put trust in people and I didn't look at what I signed ( he knew what he was doing) the routers had been in my home 3 days and I then spoke to a lady who was very rude and said I'm not allowed to cancel as when I signed that's the start time of the cooling off period. These people are liars and fraudsters stay clear.
Eero probably the worst mesh wifi…
Eero probably the worst mesh wifi system
My ISP gave me an eero 6 router as part of the sign up package. Its just awful. Firstly they demand you set up an account on an app just to configure it, no IP address login? So you know straightaway this is a router for chumps. It then asks to link to your Amazon account!!! what sort of spyware is this eero app??
then the router demanded to update, OK, so I set it to do that. Now its stuck in an endless 'restarting network'. Basically its junk.
I wanted to use it as a wireless bridge to my existing router, but of course its only designed to work with other eero products, what a joke product. Compared to a proper router this eero is really low spec, its max speed is 900mbps which is really a bit 2010s, and not what I would expect from a wifi6 router.
As I have a decent TP-LINK router then this eero junk will stay in its box, but I am paying for it through my ISP subscription so I am unhappy with this forced purchase of such a poor standard of router. Given it wont even restart I may have to contact their 'customer support' which I anticipate to be an indian call centre staffed with people who cannot speak english and cannot answer questions.
In short - DO NOT BUY EERO ROUTERS
Worst piece of kit I have ever bought
Worst piece of kit I have ever bought. Does not work with any iPhone or iPad. They say to restart it and when that won’t work they say to restart the devices. Why should I have to do that ? (Not that it works)
The worst router ever
The worst router ever, for an amazon product it is shameful that they sell it. Why talktalk have bought into it I will never understand. It has cut out more times in the short time I’ve had the misfortune to have been fobbed of with it than any other router I have had over 20 odd years. Absolute rubbish. Amazon needs to cut their losses and refund for a not fit for purpose product!
A "router" that can't provide internet access unless you already have other means of internet access. Worst. Router.Ever
Summary:The objective worst router ever created
Example of idiocy 1 : Locking any access at all behind personal information
In order for your hardware to even work you need to create an account on a seperate device, sign away your privacy, give your name, email and phone number
Example of idiocy 2: Setting up internet, requires having existing access to the internet
This one is so inconceivably stupid it sounds like a poorly written family guy joke, You need internet access to log in to your eero account, meaning in order to set up your home internet, you need to have a device that has a different method of connecting to the internet, so you need internet access to set up internet access, the dumbest thing i've ever heard
Example of idiocy 3: One means of access
every router ever created can be accessed via any device on the network, through any browser, without internet access and all you need is the router admin password. Forcing you to log into a separate device with a separate means of internet access to configure your router is the most backwards, needlessly obtuse setup humanly possible, not to mention it means when, not if, when you have issues instead of being able to open a browser and run diagnostics on your side of things, you are forced to have a secondary source of internet to log in to one awful app on one specific device so that you can then awkwardly use a 5 inch screen to try and diagnose a separate device. You could pay me large sums of money and I would not be able to think of a dumber system than what eero subjects us to
Example of idiocy 4: Less equipped to handled internet and devices than any other router ever
It has one single ethernet port and the latest "best" most expensive one doesn't even have buttons, there were routers in the 90's made for the newly publicly available internet that were better equipped than this cheaply made rubbish. One port to provide internet to one wired aka stable connection to one device in 2024 when more people have individual access to the internet than have access to clean drinking water. Making a product so underequipped for the modern landscape would take conscious effort, meaning they knew this would be crap and still cheaped out in every possible way, saving literal pennies by omitting any realistic number of ports or buttons to restart the router instead of just having to yank the power cable out and the quick connect button available on every router made since the year 2000, allowing for a quick easy method to connect new wifi devices is also ommited.
Example of idiocy 5: Problems with internet? tough, you need internet to contact "support"
To nobodies surprise I had issues on swap day getting this set up, there is nothing for me to do on my end, all I am allowed to do is push next buttons on the worst app ever created and even then the app and the router are so pathetic they can't function and what happens when your internet service swaps to a new provider which is dependant on eero functioning to have internet access? you are presented a "contact support" button which opens a browser, so to try and trouble shoot problems accessing the internet, you need to have access to the internet. How? how is it humanly possible to make a modern process that is so simple every other router is a case of plug and play this moronic?
Summary:
- Modern expensive device requires having internet access to set up internet access-
- Modern, expensive, bug riddled device requires having internet access to troubleshoot no internet access
- Modern, expensive device is only accessible via one bug riddled, slow app on one small device
- Modern, expensive device requires using personal details just to have any access to it's settings
- Modern, expensive device goes from being largely inaccessible to 100% innaccesible when problems arise
- Modern, expensive device that can only be configured through one app, on one device, that has a seperate means of internet access
You can go to any website or shop that sells technology related items, pick literally any router and it will be objectively better than this plastic feacal matter. It will have the exact same basic function but can be accessed from any device without personal details, will have more ports supporting more devices, more buttons to control the router without needing some bullcrap app, will have an infinitely easier setup along with a much easier means of customising settings and unlike this eero crap, won't become a paperweight in the event of having connection issues and phone problems
Do I need to say anything else? Helen Keller and Stevie Wonder could program a better app and devise a less backwards way of managing things than this company has done/
Worse Router Ever!
Worse Router ever! Doesn’t connect to my TV and Chromecast device. Contacted eero but were useless and unable to resolve the issue.
Worst i have ever had
Junk!
I had this fitted by my fibre provider. If I stand next to it it delivers 350 of the 500 meg it says it has available. In the next room it drops to 80.... Do not buy this trash!
Don’t trust them
Dishonest. Sent me an email over the weekend giving me just one day to cancel my account or have it renewed for another year.
I stopped using eero a year ago and cancelled everything and somehow they’re still charging
This is the ABSOLUTE WORST customer…
This is the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service support of ALL TIME!!!
No one can speak English
Shocking service
Shocking service. Non responsive to several emails sent. A complaint has been made with my broadband provider regarding this. Definitely not fit for purpose
Avoid
By far the worst customer service I’ve had the misfortune to deal with .
After 4 days with no broadband, no one can explain why .Although we are paid up to date , our account was cancelled in error , which I guess happens.
The lack of any technical support was frustrating and being passed from pillar to post around call centres in Asia was the straw that broke the camels back . I’ve gone back to BT .
Avoid - poor service backed up by useless customer service agents .
2 months in I’m still being charged, despite having no contract
We waited 2 months for a resolution , even this has been made unnecessarily difficult . I have since escalated our complaint via resolver and Ofcom
I had one for one day
I had one for one day. That’s was enough. Got to hit to touch because there’s no design vents. And just two feet away and was paying for a 900 speed that was coming in but laptop and phone just two feet away was getting less then half that I was told I need another eero. lol I told the engineer I was two feet away from the box when I did my speed test. Absolutely useless would not recommend them. Terrible design and a fire risk
Eero router is terrible
Eero router is terrible - switched to Full Fibre with Cuckoo and the Eero router is provided - we get the full fibre signal to the house but the signal drops significantly as you walk out the door which is 6ft away. TV in sitting room dropping out left and right - we had a better signal with Sky router and FTTC. Avoid this router if you can!
Did Talk Talk REALLY test out the 150MBPS Fibre and EERO Router config?
As per Christine McC Feb 2024 review notes I also 'upgraded' to 150MBPS Full Fibre from 65 MBPS Partial Fibre. The installation package came with an EERO Router to replace the Talk Talk router. Whilst I'm getting 150 MBPS to the house 100% the WiFi in the house has degraded significantly (notwithstanding siting the router in an much more open and elevated space than the old Talk Talk router which was in a floor standing corner in the living room). I can no longer pick up WiFi in the kitchen (12 yards from the EERO) and BBC iPlayer consistently buffers. Spent 1 hour on Talk Talk chat line today and they want me to upgrade to 'Full House Access' package. REALLY! I really assumed that I'd be zoming around the WWW at 150 MBPS but no, the WiFI is slower in the house that the old set up was. I can't believe that Talk Talk have released this configuration. I've been a customer since the good old Tiscalli days (how old is that?) and supportive of Talk Talk over this time. Can't wait for 'end of contract' albeit might have a go at 'goods not fit for sale/consumption'. Alan Swan, KY12
It doesn't work
It doesn't work , absolutely terrible, don't recommend
Absolutely junk
Absolutely junk. Customer support is non existent. Will not connect to hot tub. Will not connect to direct tv, and will not connect to myQ garage door opener. Had service tech from Direct TV on site trying to connect dvr. Was on the phone with tech from eero explaining that direct tv dvr will connect to internet via hotspot on phone. No help. Everything worked with google mesh prior to switching to eero.
Blocking completely benign webpages…
Blocking completely benign webpages like gaming sites, with no easy option to have them unblocked. I've never owned a router that did anything like this, both annoying and confusing when it happens.
Fantastic Home Router
Setup the Eero Max 7 router and running within minutes. Just wished they had a web browser interface to access the settings of the router instead of using the phone app as well as a way to use other VPN services, like OpenVPN, to access the home network from outside the home network. Other than those few items, it is a really good product!
Eero in DMZ, security concerns.
I got from my ISP additional two Eero Beacon Dual Band Mesh WiFi boxes and today I wanted to add them to my WiFi which is located in my DMZ.
The first shocking surprise was, that you need an account at Eero for registering and setting up these boxes, which is IMHO already a no-go in regards to network security and personal data protection.
The second surprise was then, how chatty these boxes are in talking to there home.
I decided to return these boxes to my ISP because I definitely not gonna use them.
