DO NOT USE!
I used them 2 years ago when I purchased my second house. The work I paid for included a house purchase and changing a mortgage to a buy-to-let.

I originally used EHL because I thought it would be a much better experience due to the use of an online portal as I am in the Royal Navy and am away for long periods.

But I dealt with different people so there was never consistency or a relationship built, I had multiple bits of paperwork lost but we got there in the end. So I thought!

Fast forward 2 years and I am remortgaging my buy-to-let only to be told from the new solicitors that there is still a pending application through Land Registry so they cannot proceed until it is dealt with.

After contacting HM Land Registry they stated it was an application from EHL. I contacted EHL to find out they've split and have changed there name, also that I'm not on the system, but I would need to speak to the post completion team who are an external team (they do not have a contact number.) They have taken days to reply to an email and are selective on what they respond to leaving many questions unanswered as to why I am in this situation.

I am now having to redo documents I had done 2 years ago!! I was never contacted that HM Land Registry had rejected there application from errors made by EHL or Arrow Conveyancing what ever name they are working from!

This is now holding up the remortgage of my buy-to-let through the lack of competence, care and professionalism from them.

The team at EHL were fantastic through quite a stressful house sale and purchase. I also added on a Declaration of Trust and will be going back for a will.
They were down to earth, efficient and most importantly friendly! Thanks so much to Sarah and Abbie in particular.

This practice dealt with the sale of our rental property.
They made the whole process and exceptionally stress free.
Fees where very competitive and the individuals who handled our sale were always professional and polite and they responded to emails and phone calls very promptly

Edward Hands & Lewis in Bulwell was recommended to us for conveyancing and I can see why. They are on top of everything, keep you updated and are genuinely helpful in responding to any questions you may have.
We had a complicated sale due to a title discrepancy but they didn't add to our stress in any way. I can't praise Liz and the team who dealt with us highly enough. 10/10

Can’t recommended this company enough. Liz Collins has brilliant from start to finish. Fast responses, explained everything to us and has been extremely helpful. Even when she was away on annual leave she arranged for a colleague to pick up her work so we never went without communication. We ended up pulling out of one property and bought another, she made the process of swapping monies over very quick and easy. This company has caused me so much stress and my purchase nearly fell through due to their incompetence. Post completion I have tried to contact them due to their negligence in my matter they are even worse than before and do not respond. The Law Society should not give them a practicing certificate. Do not use this firm it is not worth it. I have not had a positive experience with anyone I dealt with. My matter was constantly passed to new persons and I was never notified. It is so difficult to get a response you must chase and chase and most of the time I didn't get a response. I wish I had paid more elsewhere for a less stressful experience. I really cannot understand how this cowboy firm are still up and running. I am making a formal complaint with the Legal Ombudsman. Please avoid I cannot stress this enough!

A huge thank you to Heather Price for her great work throughout the process of buying my first house. Heather was always really quick to respond to emails and kept me well informed. For my first experience of buying a house Heather made what can typically be a really stressful process a very smooth, and I want to say, virtually stress-free process (any stress was more a result of the sellers). I can't recommend Heather highly enough and for any first time buyers you can be assured you'll be in safe hands.

Excellent professional service. I used Michelle Saxton for my divorce and found her extremely friendly and approachable. My divorce was dealt with very quickly with regular updates from Michelle regarding progress. I can highly recomend this lady for your family law needs.

Michelle Saxton looked after my divorce for me earlier in the year. She was amazing! Very professional, helpful and great communication throughout. She made the process much easier and went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Avoid at all costs! Terrible service provided by EHL. Was provided with a Final Statement 1 week before completion, and told the figure stated covered "all remaining costs and charges". I paid the balance and the property purchase went through... 11 weeks and 1 day after completion, EHL sent me an invoice for £800 stating due to their own miscalculations in the purchase process, I still owed them money. I have never heard of a Solicitor committing anyone to a property purchase, without enough funds to do so. As everyone knows, moving home is an expensive time, and we trust our solicitor has the correct figures when completing on our purchases. Any surplus savings after the purchase goes on furniture, moving costs, cleaning etc etc... It is completely out of order and unfair of a Conveyancing firm to then request close to £1000, SEVENTY-EIGHT days after completion, due to their own incompetence. Do not use!!
To highlight their incompetence further... when chasing for the "outstanding" amount... they wrote letters, which included threats of debt collectors,.. addressed to my OLD address... the very house they acted upon my behalf, to SELL!! Laughable.

Michelle Saxton at EHL Solicitors handled the financial arrangements for my divorce earlier this year. She was knowledgable and professional throughout, always replied to my queries promptly, and was the one person I could rely on during this extremely stressful time. At one point there was a real concern that my ex was going to try and move back into the house, and Michelle went the extra mile providing legal assistance and support (and this was over a Bank Holiday weekend!). I highly recommend Michelle Saxton at EHL Solicitors; I believe she is the main reason I came out of the situation with my sanity intact.
