Customer service was incredible! Our couches and bed platform are the best! Holding up to chunky humans and dogs!

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made in my life. One thing I hate about couches is they normally only last 2 to 3 years and then they start to depreciate in quality due to use overtime. I am also a huge advocate of trying to find modern technology to accomplish the same idea or better. Elephant in the box has done both I love their products. My couch feels like an extremely high quality couch. It has yet to sag. If I ever move, I know it’s going to be a breeze because the couch will just accordion back into its original shape, and I can take it along with me.

I ordered a new replacement core since my original one broke. The first sent me a core that was too small for my sofa, then they sent me a new core that was wide enough but the height of the back was too short for my original back padding and the depth of the seat was too long for my original seat cushions. There has been so much back and forth and now I have several boxes of the wrong parts in my tiny apartment. This company has made my move significantly more stressful. The irony is, I bought this sofa because the simplicity of its components were supposed to reduce the amount of work to furnish my home… My interactions with the customer support team, although friendly, is very tiresome due to the lack of efficiency and product knowledge.

Very Quick Ship but uncomfortable sofa. I chatted with customer support before making a purchase and they were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the LONG SOFA which includes the dynamic sofa plus an extra seat, and two ottomans. The packages arrived VERY quickly - 2 days after ordering. (I did not receive, the extra seat which was ordered, because after I ordered, I was informed they were actually out of stock of this item).
The set up of the pieces was simple enough, although some of the instructions were sort of lacking in detail. It is amazing the whole sofa, etc. can fit in a box and the honeycomb design is very cool. A few minor complaints on the quality itself that we noticed right away: 1. the pad that goes down on top of the honeycomb on the sofa seemed too large as it sticks up in the middle (like a mountain peak) when sandwiched between the two arm rests. It's not that dramatic, but it seemed oversized since it doesn't fit fully in between the arms. There were small frays on the fabric right out of the box. Like little snags/pulls on the fabric. Otherwise the material feels and looks very nice. I think the fabric makes for a comfortable seating situation, but the comfort of the sofa itself was disappointing. The back pillows are very thin and lack comfort, while the seat cushions are pretty firm and again lack comfort. Overall, we just did not find this comfortable at all. It is not for us and we will be returning the package. Thankfully, it was easy to get a return label from customer service which once again proved to be very helpful. To me, this would make a great sofa for a dorm room or something similar, but not a family room in a home. It might be worth giving it a shot if you need a very movable sofa or won't use it as your main sitting area, as customer service was great and they do offer a trial period. Very cool design, I just wish it was more comfortable.

I love my elephant in a box! I live in an old city row home and needed something that was stylish comfortable modular and not super expensive! This ticked all the boxes! It shipped writhing a few days and way easy to set up. It is heavy so ask someone to help you carry it.

I bought this couch in early 2021 and I honestly wish I never had.

1) The back cushions were so lumpy and extremely uncomfortable and actually caused me some back pain issues.

2) When I was putting it together, my mother noticed that parts were held together with staples and remarked that this probably would not last. (She was correct.)

3) I noticed about a month or so ago that the fabric was tearing away at one of the top corners of the couch. Upon further inspection, the entire arm of the couch was separating away from the rest of it. I have not moved this couch since I got it and it's not like I am sitting on the top corner of the couch so what would be the reason for that?

4) I ended up purchasing a new sofa and as I was taking the elephant in a box apart to store away, I discovered that the "extra strong honeycomb" was totally ripping apart inside.

So, yeah. The sofa I paid almost $900 for got thrown in the trash after only owning it for a year and a half. I absolutely will never buy anything from this company again.

First let me say this is an amazing design and idea. I need a large sectional that would fit upstairs and it's very difficult to get furniture on my second floor due to the staircase so I discovered elephant in a box and after rave reviews I purchased it and got the large sectional.

I was hoping the seat cushions would break in after owning it for a couple months but I have to say it is very uncomfortable. The seat cushions are very hard and not comfortable to sit on whatsoever. I'm hoping they will break in after a while longer but after owning the couch for a several months I'm not very hopeful to be honest.

If you have a tight space or move a lot this is a great option, but if you plan on using a lot unfortunately it's lacking in the comfort area in a seat cushions are extremely hard and uncomfortable.

For me, the seat is a little too firm and the back cushions a bit too soft. But we're pretty happy with the product overall.

Great experience all around! We love the couch -- pretty fast and easy set up. There were covers missing to the corner of the sectional, but customer service was prompt and responsive and they sent them out as a replacement very quickly!

Everything was easy to put together and comfortable. Fit perfectly for what I needed.

Couldn’t be happier. Sofa showed up quickly and, even though the box was dinged up (it was pouring down rain that day), everything was perfect. Assembly was easy even though my eyes aren’t great and I had some trouble reading some of the small print.

Couch is comfortable and I’ve even slept on it a few nights.

I purchased my couch from Elephant in a Box over a year ago. It held up pretty well, but some of the structural parts were giving out over time. When I reached out to see if I was covered under the warranty that comes with the product, I received fantastic service via Instagram and they shipped me replacement parts asap. My couch is now good as new! I am in love with this company and hope to keep using their products for a long time. High quality, high mobility, great service, worth the money!

Elephant in a box makes a great quality couch and the customer service is excellent.

Overall pretty good. Appreciated the responsiveness by telephone and e-mail. Better experience than I've had with other sellers recently.

The product seems to be geared toward a younger crowd. I am sixty years old with back pain. I may have preferred that an alternate sofa, a different kind of design, were available from Elephant geared toward older folks with bad backs. But I do appreciate the extra stuffing Elephant sent and hope it will help.

Better to have delivery by UPS or FedEx than risk getting bed bugs from local furniture trucks delivering and hauling away used sofas and used mattresses all the time.

Already love my couch, and customer service was even better! I have had my couch for about 4 months and the only thing was the seat cushions were not as soft as I liked. Messaged them on Facebook and I instantly was talking to a real person. They will have them shipped out to me within 4 weeks, as they are coming from Egypt. I can totally wait that long since they were so great! Highly recommend!!

My experience with Elephant in a Box has been good. l purchased the dynamic sofa with the desk attachment and ottoman.

The couch is firm which I like. It is softening up some as I sit on it more. The pillows are comfy. I may invest in the taller pillows because the back of the couch is low and there isn't much neck support. I have a cat and I feel her fur is pretty easy to clean off of the fabric.

The ottoman came broken and took longer than I hoped to be replaced. I thought it was odd that the couch shipped immediately, but it took weeks to get the ottoman replaced.

Overall, I really like the company and would recommend. Customer service has been really nice and helpful as well.
