⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Gold Standard for Customer Support in Tech

I've been in the technology business for over 27 years. I've dealt with vendors of every size — from Fortune 500 companies to startups — and I can tell you without hesitation that ElevenLabs has set a new standard for what customer service in this industry should look like.

I accidentally upgraded my account to a Pro tier I didn't need, resulting in a significant charge. I reached out to their support team fully expecting the usual runaround — the "no refunds on subscriptions" policy that's become the default response from companies who take your money and disappear.

That's not what happened.

ElevenLabs answered. They actually picked up. Their support team was responsive, professional, and more importantly — they listened. They understood the situation immediately, refunded the charge without argument, and restored my account to exactly where it was before. No conditions. No hassle. No fighting for what was right.

In an industry where subscription businesses often treat customers as trapped revenue, ElevenLabs treated me like a partner. That kind of integrity is rare. It's the difference between a company that builds products and a company that actually cares about the people using them.

Their voice technology is exceptional — we use it daily across multiple applications. But this experience reminded me that the best technology companies aren't just great at building software. They're great at taking care of people.

While attempting to enrol in the Impact Program I followed the incorrect process. I was advised by a medical worker to follow a program that required me to fill out the payment section and I ended up paying an amount in error. The medical worker attempted to arrange a refund through another party but to no avail so I decided to contact ElevenLabs myself. On doing so I received a note from Keitha almost instantly advising what action i should take. I followed the instructions and again, each email was answered almost instantly. I was VERY impressed with the help and wonderful service provided by Keith in arranging my refund, Top marks!

impossible customer service just AI. I never requested any subscription from you. You charged my card over and over. I am requesting this account to be closed and all funds you took refunded as soon as possible. If not, I will dispute the fees with my cc company

This platform is very cumbersome and you have to bounce around to find things. I should not have to ask your Ai where everything is. It is not clear when you have to generate something to see how it looks and then have to pay more to make changes. They would not give me a refund even though it was within a few days of opening the account. They suck! They will charge you credits to correct mistakes they caused.

Been using 11 Labs for a while now. I’ve been very satisfied. A lot of voices to choose from and editing in their timeline is easy. Realistic onscreen talent etc.,

They deleted my files - I made 3 voice recordings - recorded directly within their app. I trusted them! I clicked 'Save' and they requested: You need to upgrade because you now used 20000 points and you only have 8000. During the recording and between the recordings of those 3 files there were NO warnings that I surpassed the limit. Once they urged me to upgrade as I clicked "save" I immediately paid for the upgrade. But the files disappeared! This is unretrievable!!! They are scamming by requesting to pay and they delete your files in the process!

My voice clone sounds like me, but it sounds unnatural at the end of sentences and struggles with commas. Can't use it for those reasons.

Very difficult to get my text-to-speech format for my story. After wasting money buying tokens, the site wouldn't load or enable me to generate my audio, and it would take all my tokens.

Stay away from this site. Their product doesn’t work well, and you end up just wasting tokens trying to get things right. Their support is also AI, so good luck in getting a response that actually makes sense.

Im always sure that using elevenlabs means using the best models out there. I run an ai startup and use it for both meeting transcriptions and att function for chat input. Always works.

I have read several times that ElevenLabs is a leader in realistic voice cloning. I have a good microphone and no background noise, I purchased the Creator package as recommended for voice cloning. The results were disappointing to say the least. Not at all reaslistic.

I’ve been using ElevenLabs to build my application because the voice and music generation quality is genuinely best-in-class. But what stood out even more was the customer support. When I reached out about a credit situation as an independent builder, they responded with real warmth and went out of their way to help me keep building. Rare to find a company that treats solo founders this way. Highly recommend.

My affiliate account was suddenly suspended without any clear reason, and what’s worse is that I haven’t received any response from the support team despite multiple follow-ups. This lack of transparency and communication is extremely frustrating. A platform like this should handle user issues more professionally and provide timely support.

Great service, only problem is the credits get used WAY too fast. Some of their features use way more credits than others.

They only say:
This generation may violate our Terms of Service and has been blocked.
May? It does not mean anything.
After going totally off with this, I wasted my time reviewing their TOS, nothing applies to my prompt, nobody is violating anything here.
Then there is no way to talk to support, just to a useless chatbot and via email, and they say that tickets can take a week?
No way.
I used them for text to speech, it was decent quality, but for video generation, they are really useless and in the meantime, you just burn credits and pay and pay.
All this: a huge scam.

***I’m updating my previous review for accuracy: I do have about three months of credits accumulated. That said, the current system still leaves me stuck in a way that operates as effectively unprofessional gatekeeping.***
As a Pro plan subscriber, I’m effectively locked into the $99/month tier. If I downgrade, I lose my accumulated credits, which makes it risky to adjust my plan—even when the service isn’t performing well. I’ve paid for many more months than the credits I currently have, and I’ve never seen my rollover exceed roughly two to three months. That mismatch creates a sense of sunk cost rather than flexibility.
On top of that, the platform itself has ongoing performance issues. I’m running FIOS gigabit (1 Gbps up/down over ethernet), so this isn’t a local bandwidth problem. The site is frequently slow and buggy. Voice outputs can be inconsistent, and even exported files often contain audible artifacts or clipping.
Inside Projects, editing becomes a grind: adjusting one element can shift multiple audio clips unintentionally, and re-aligning them is difficult due to lag and imprecise controls. The system fights you when it should be assisting you.
The result is a strange bottleneck—I’m paying for credits I can’t effectively use. I have dozens of stories ready to produce, and while ElevenLabs still offers some of the best voices available, the workflow friction makes it hard to justify the cost.
I’m asking the support team to seriously consider:
• Increasing the credit rollover limit
• Allowing plan downgrades without forfeiting accumulated credits
• Investigating performance issues (speed, editing instability, export quality)
I want to keep using this platform. There’s real potential here. But right now, the combination of pricing pressure and technical friction makes it feel unsustainable.

ElevenLabs is one of my best most used Ai tool as An Ai influencer and being able to reach customer support easily is amazing.
Keitha one of the customer support representative was so helpful when I reached out for help. Y’all are really amazing!
