Abysmal. Most matches don't have photos, and while looks are by far not everything, it's just not attractive, and feels a bit unsafe. Selection of matches barely changes from day to day, even with broad preferences. Not worth the money at all!

Elite Singles has died. There just hasn't been a funeral. I used ES a couple of years ago, met half a dozen interesting women in a couple of weeks and dated one for two years. Going back on is a sea change. There are far fewer people, profiles that are long redundant are maintained and the software 'matches' you with people way outside the geographic zone you specified. The only consistency is that there are still a few scammers out there. The price is about double Bumble or Hinge and not worth the money, time, tedium.

Random profiles kept showing up, nothing to do with my preferences. Complete waste of my time and money! App regularly crashed so I could hardly access it.
The easiest experience throughout the process was cancelling the subscription, thank goodness for that!

I've been a subscriber of EliteSingles, on and off, for about 5 years. In many ways it works quite well and I have not had too many fake profiles but 2 years back I met someone and wanted to pause my subscription for obvious reasons. I could not do that and, at the not unreasonable request of the woman I was dating at the time, I therefore had to cancel my subscription and forfeit the significant cost of doing so. At the time of my cancellation I wrote to Elitesingles to express my disappointment about this.

18 months later, that relationship relationship did not work out and I rejoined EliteSingles.

Today, I decided to not renew my subscription which expires at midnight tonight. I logged on and canceled my subscription and to my dismay received this email from EliteSingles shortly thereafter.…

"Dear Martin,

Thank you for your message.

We have received your cancellation request and are very sorry that you have decided not to use our service any longer.

In accordance with our general Terms and conditions, each contract for a Premium Membership is renewed for the original contractually agreed period if the customer does not cancel the contract within the set out notice period of 7 days before the expiry of the term of the paid membership.

Since your notice for cancellation was received after the expiry of the notice period, unfortunately, we cannot refund the most recent renewal. Accordingly, the original contractually agreed membership fee will be charged once again. However, in response to your request we have cancelled the next renewal of your contract.

As a result your paid membership will end on 12.04.2025 (dd.mm.yyyy).

I wrote this email to them in reply...

Dear 'EliteSingles Team',

This is the second time I have contacted you to express my dismay at the way you run your website.

The reason I am contacting you again is to express how cynical I think you are being in relying on 'the small print' to extract another subscription fee from me. I have just cancelled my subscription before the renewal date and therefore in any reasonable person's view, in time to prevent me having to pay another subscription. There is *absolutely no practical reason* why you would need to have a week's notice (or indeed, *any* notice) in order to effect the cancellation of my subscription.

From this latest event as well as the one I wrote to you about previously, I can only conclude that you are totally ignorant to the potential negative emotional situations that your clients may find themselves in given the nature of what your business is about and why your clients sign up in the first place i.e. to find a life partner. I do appreciate of course that not everyone is on your website for this reason but I would hope that in your particular case (being supposedly somewhat more ‘up-market') most people are. That is certainly the impression I have got from the women I have made contact with as a result of meeting them through your website.

For this reason and the one I originally contacted you about (not being able to pause the subscription whilst I explored a new relationship - *more* money) both point to the obvious conclusion that your management could not care less about the happiness and success of your clients in finding suitable matches and that you are only concerned about making money.

As a consequence I will be writing a suitable review for trustpilot and will never darken your website (or app’s) door again.

My best, genuine online dating experience thus far has been with FitnessSingles.com... for what that's worth.

You start contacting people by yourself and you come across scammers. You can find quality people on sites like J4Feels.com
But not on EliteSingles. The name of this site is really a joke. There is nothing premium or elite about it except of the cost. It's quite easy to sign up but it's extremely difficult to cancel your subscription and get your account removed from there. Be prepared to put a lot of effort and time in this unexpectedly complicated task.

Worst dating website i have come across. Very few matches. Most if which are outside my criteria i.e.geography.

I must say Elite singles is without a doubt the worst online dating service I have ever used. The algorithm just doesn’t work. I would say that 90% of the so called matches were unsuitable. Either way past my age preference but mainly too far away. I set set a limit of no more than 100 miles away. One match was in Michigan, I live in the UK! Yet you constantly sent me matches hundreds of miles away! Is your AI familiar with geography? Also a lot of these so called matches were fake as the profile was often deleted. Some, the majority I think were not premium members there could not contact me or I them. In short I think Elite singles is overpriced , little more than a scam. I would not recommend it to anyone. Good riddance.

This company is lucky to get 1star and how I wish I could get a refund. Absolute rubbish. Terrible choices.. no matching carried out just any photo put up whether they are suitable or not . Big mistake on my part to join. Shockingly bad

This is a very poor site. There aren’t enough paid up members and most of the profiles aren’t of existing members; they’ve been on the site for ages and never taken off. So the matches one gets are fewer than they say there will be and far too far away.

Many of the people on the site are inactive, looks good for their stats, but dreadful for us. I was getting matches hundreds of miles away even though my settings were supposed to exclude me from them. A person needs to be able to state maximum distance away, minimum match number/quality AND not to be matched with inactive members. Those are the people who are totally fed up with the site but they've been conned into joining for too long and then didn't read the small print about autorenewal. This site is one notch above a scam. Avoid.

Met the love of my life on Elite I highly recommend this site.

The main issue is that the minimum distance is 50 miles. Who goes 25-50 miles for a first or second date?! My personal limit for the full distance is 20 miles. Also, it is not clear when they show the results of the child option.

Elite singles doesn't offer a good selection of partners and will suggest you people that are very far away. However, that's not entirely their fault.
My problem is that I enrolled in march and after a month using the service I saw that it wasn't for me. I try to cancel on the website but I couldn't find a way of cancelling the service or a way to communicate with the company to inform them that I don't want the service anymore so I cancel further payments. It's October now and I still receive emails trying to charge me for a membership that I am not using anymore. That's definitely an app that's not made to be deleted, it's more like an eternal search for love in an inefficient website. If someone from elite singles is reading this I would like to stop receiving your emails and I would like you guys stop to charge me for a service that I am not using anymore.

Would give it minus stars if I could … expensive and anything but elite. Very limited pool of ladies. Avoid.

When taking out a paid membership, make sure you have the auto renewal deactivated OR - make sure you cancel the subscription at least 14 days prior to the contract end date. The Terms & Conditions state that you can cancel within 14 days of the contract start date. However, this does not seem to apply to renewals I.e. the contract start date is deemed to be when you first started the paid membership.
I tried to cancel my paid membership, but was told that I did not give then enough notice - ridiculous!

Many of the matches aren't professionals. Most of them have high school diplomas. The preference option doesn't count when the app finds a match. I've changed the preference selection to test several times, and the results are the same. They also have poor customer service. It is a waste of time

Automatic renewal is an absolute scam; dreadful service and website. AVOID!!

Automatic billing is just a scam. Without knowing you will be billed even if you think you have cancelled. Read their terms and conditions and be very careful.

App is terrible (on Android).

I've never written a review before but as of 2024 do not use this company.
