I’d been losing my hair since my mid 20s and had always found ways of growing it/manipulating it into certain ways that hid the thinning areas. Couldn’t do it anymore, felt utterly embarrassed about the way I looked and knew that I either shaved it all off or seriously looked at a transplant. Did my research, was priced out of any treatment in the UK so started exploring options abroad. As soon as I found Elit, I didn’t bother looking elsewhere. All of the positive reviews are 100% true. Right from the start of enquiring, I felt supported and encouraged by what I was being told. The contact did feel a little strange at first as it was all through WhatsApp but it is totally legit.
I had numerous phone calls and WhatsApp conversations, they were never pushy, always had a really clear answer for any questions I had about the process, accommodation, price etc. I have a huge phobia of needles which is the main reason I put this off for so long but this whole process has massively helped to get over that, even if it’s just a little bit.
As soon as I booked my flights and sent them confirmation, they did the rest. I was picked up straight from the airport in a lovely air conditioned vehicle, taken straight to the clinic where the whole process was once again explained by a brilliant translator. The blood test was the scariest bit of the whole thing haha! But I was never made to feel stupid or silly, again I was supported through this and told to take my time. Once all the checks had been done and I’d spoken to the surgeon, I was shown to my room for the night (very comfortable and clean). I had a little explore of the local area and got a bite to eat before my fasting began, then I got a wake up call in the morning just before surgery.
At this point, it’s probably worth stating that I was extremely nervous but the calmness and professionalism of the team once again made me feel at ease. The IV was again the worst bit but that’s because of my phobia (it wasn’t even that bad). I was asleep before I knew it - another big selling point! All of the numbing took place when I was asleep and they woke me up to check that I couldn’t feel anything. The extractions took 3 hours, then I had a bit of lunch before the follicles were put back in which took around 6 hours. There was a lovely view out of the window and I was also given the option to go on my phone, listen to music, etc. During the whole 9 hours, only once did I ask for a bit more numbing to be given as I was starting to regain some sensation but no pain. I didn’t feel anything pain whatsoever during the whole procedure.
The aftercare was superb too. Lovely bit of food afterwards and time to relax in the room. I was then checked over and given medications the following day, as well as plenty more opportunities to ask questions but I didn’t need to as everything was explained so clearly. I was then taken back to the airport ready for my flight home.
Its now nearly 16 months on from the treatment and I can honestly say I’ve never been happier. I may go back again just to have a bit more work done on my crown as it looked like Harry Hill’s head before I went, now it just looks like I’m starting to thin a little in the area but I’m not desperate to do it and there’s more there now than I expected anyway! I kept up to date with photos for the warranty and had access to follow up conversations if needed. The swelling does hurt slightly in the week afterwards but it’s no more than a normal headache and goes fairly quickly with paracetamol. I did the whole ‘oh it hasn’t worked’ thing after 6 months but be patient, it will.
Couldn’t recommend the whole thing more, completely changed my life and at a very affordable price.

The whole experience has been great. The professionalism of everyone I contacted from ElitHair greatly impressed me. The surgery was painless and had no issues with swelling. I went to their clinic in Turkey and it is pure mass processing from start to finish. You feel like cattle the entire way through. They will proudly tell you how many procedures they perform every day — hundreds — which makes you wonder where exactly they find all this "qualified" staff. Some patients have suggested they've started giving taxi drivers crash courses to train them up, because the actual procedure is very long and laborious and requires a lot of hands. During the entire process, you see a doctor for less than five minutes — and certainly not the great expert Dr. Balwi, whose name is on all the products they try to sell you. He is probably sitting somewhere in the Caribbean counting his money (good for him!).

For me, 18 months after the procedure, there was virtually no visible difference. I spent a lot of money and went through a lot of discomfort for little to no result.

I then called them on the guarantee they emphasise so heavily when selling you the procedure — but it is a hoax, of course. They will claim they said from the beginning that success chances are moderate. Would I really have spent that much money for moderate outcomes? Of course not. They told me I was the ideal candidate, that I had enough donor hair, that the procedure would be very effective, and that in the unlikely case it didn't deliver the results I desired, I could rely on the peace-of-mind guarantee they offer.

Well, I called them on that promise. Their response, in a nutshell: "Sorry, no guarantee for you — but we can offer you a 10% discount on your next procedure with us." 😅

So think carefully before going with them. It might work out for you, but if it doesn't, know that there is no such thing as a guarantee — no matter what they tell you during the sales process.

Here is their response to my warranty claim:
"During the examination, it was explained to the patient in detail that the density expected for areas 3 and 4 would be moderate, while lower density could be achieved in the crown region (assessed as areas 5 and 6) due to donor capacity and anatomical structure. It was also clearly stated that the crown region structurally requires more grafts and that achieving high density in a single session is often not possible; therefore, a second session may be necessary for densification in the future. Over the past year, the graft retention rate has reached approximately 85%, which is considered a successful and acceptable result from a medical perspective. The overall appearance was evaluated in line with the pre-operative planning and expectations communicated to the patient, and a noticeable increase in density was clearly observed, especially in the middle and crown areas. It was stated before the operation that the result would be weak in the crown area. The current result is generally considered successful, exceeding expectations. The patient's feedback indicates dissatisfaction with the results and a request for correction. However, upon reviewing the photographs sent for evaluation, it is understood that the images were taken under intense light and with wet hair. Such photographs do not provide reliable results for medical evaluation; because in wet hair, hair strands stick together, causing the hair density to appear lower than it actually is. Similarly, photographs taken under strong, direct light make the scalp more visible, creating a misleading impression regarding density. In contrast, photographs taken with dry hair and in more natural lighting conditions show the increase in density and the overall change in the transplanted areas much more clearly and satisfactorily. Therefore, the results obtained cannot be considered within the scope of the warranty.
Although it is not within the scope of the guarantee, as the Elit Hair family—who always prioritizes patient satisfaction—we can apply a 10 % discount on pigmentation"

Affordable service for a surgery that significantly increases quality of life.

Before the procedure, I had a bit of nervousness, but it quickly went away as soon as I arrived. The staff is truly professional, but at the same time very approachable and down to earth – they explained everything without rushing. The whole process was much easier than I expected. Even though I had the procedure just a couple of days ago, everything has gone great so far and I feel really good. If anyone is thinking about a hair transplant, I would genuinely recommend this place

Translator was there when needed snd explained everything clearly. The actual procedure itself was practically painless, unless local anaesthesia was being put in but even that is only a quick pain. They take care of you during the procedure

The whole process from start to finish was based on a well oiled machine. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The process of the transplant although long was bearable.
I will be coming back to have my crown done and do not have any reservations. Highly recommend using Elitehair.

Before even traveling, I had a lot of questions and wasn’t sure what the process would be like. What stood out immediately was how available and helpful their team was. The logistics were also handled really well. From the moment I arrived, I had a private driver who took care of transportation between the airport, hotel, and clinic. It made the whole experience stress free.

I’m really pleased with my hair transplant experience. From the initial consultation through to the procedure itself, the team were professional, reassuring, and clearly very knowledgeable. I felt well looked after on the day, and everything was explained clearly, which gave me a lot of confidence.The transplant itself went smoothly and I’m very happy with how everything has been handled so far.

The only downside was that my facial and dental treatments were sadly not scheduled / time wasn’t made for them on the day, despite me making inquiries early on and notifying the clinic in advance. This was a bit disappointing.

That said, the quality of the hair transplant and the care I received were excellent, and I would still recommend the clinic based on that experience.

I want to share my experience after my husband’s hair transplant at this clinic in Istanbul.
While the surgery itself was completed, the overall treatment and communication were highly unprofessional:
• There was no English translator present during the medical procedure, so my husband could not understand what was being said or explained to him.
• The staff did not properly explain the procedure, the medications, or the aftercare.
• My husband was given medication without clear explanation of what it was or why he needed it.
• He felt very unwell after the procedure, but there was no medical supervision, no one to answer his questions, and no opportunity to speak with the doctor.
• The staff ignored our concerns, and when we submitted an official complaint, the clinic did not respond or take responsibility.
This experience was stressful, confusing, and unsafe. A medical clinic should provide clear communication, proper consent, and care for the patient’s well-being — especially when treating international patients who don’t speak Turkish.
We do not recommend this clinic to anyone, especially foreigners who need proper support and communication during medical treatment.
