The flare pants I ordered fit so well around my waist and hips. No weird sizing issues which I deal with a lot online. The material feels substantial and comfy. Happy with the whole process from order to delivery.

Genuinely impressed with the overall…

Genuinely impressed with the overall quality. The stitching is clean, the colours look classy and the material feels nicer than what I expected for the price. Delivery took around 9 days and everything arrived in perfect condition.

BUYER BEWARE

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company. I purchased three dresses that did not arrive within the advertised timeframe and, when they did arrive, none of them fit.

I contacted the company to advise that I would be returning the items and requested a full refund, as the products did not meet reasonable expectations. Instead, I was offered a 30% discount, which I declined. I was then advised that the returned items may not reach them, which raised serious concerns.

Based on this experience—and on similar feedback shared by others, including a friend who received the same response regarding a different product—I question the reliability of this company’s returns and refund process. I intend to pursue this matter further and would strongly caution others before making a purchase.

AVOID

Do not buy anything from these dishonest people. Complete scam selling horrible quality, cheap and nasty clothing from China. They say they are in Australia but it is a lie - do not buy anything!

SCAM company

SCAM company. Order # 1552 The clothes I received are a cheap rip off of the clothes advertised on their website. Their website claims "easy returns", which is also false advertising. I returned the items 10 weeks ago to their warehouse in China and still waiting for a refund... They claim that Customs is holding the items and they can't do anything to speed the process up! Wish I'd looked at the reviews here before spending close to $500 on cheap tacky clothes that are so bad that I can't use the material for rags. Honestly don't buy from them.

Terrible quality material

Considering this company is supposed to be in Australia it took forever for my item to arrive (from China). The material is very rough, not soft. I will not be buying anything from them again, but they are closing down so I believe.

If there was a less than one star…

If there was a less than one star review I would leave it, this company is completely fabricated. It has nothing to do with Double Bay, it is located in China. The two dresses I bought were meant to be ankle length. They were midcalf length, the sleeves were meant to be short. They were Long with elastic band. They were meant to be short and flowing, the fabric they were made out of was the most disgusting plastic synthetic fabric ever, When I went back to review the information. There was no information about what the fabric contained. It just looked nice, I complained a few times. They said if I would like a refund I have to send the items back to China and at my own expense and it had to be tracked and traceable, I was furious and requested they do more but they will not respond to me any more now because they don’t want to deal with it, I will never buy anything from them ever again. They are just basically worse quality than any other Chinese website you could imagine but they are claiming to be an Australian Double Bay online shop. I have plenty of photos to prove what I’m saying. There is no labelling on the dress other than the size and it is ugly and disgusting and nothing like the actual product.

Would give zero stars

Do not buy from this company. Like other reviews , the clothes are very poor quality but the pricing is retail. When I tried to return they argued 3 times for a partial credit and then eventually said I could return but I had to pay to ship back to China. The refund would take ‘4-8 weeks’. Now they are saying the parcel never arrived. Complete waste of money which I won’t get back.

Disgusting, lying, unethical, crappy filth

I ordered what was supposed to be my wedding dress on sale for around $150 marked down supposedly from $300. What I received looked nothing like the picture online. The website also misleadingly claims to be Australian and ethically sourced clothing however what I received was POOR quality. I have received better quality off shein for $4. I’m now left devastated, out of pocket and scrambling for a new dress. The picture on the website was my dream dress. Communication with Elle the label is slow and difficult. Their refund policy is absolutely ludicrous. Why should I pay for shipping fees to send a crap item back to them. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

further communication with their customer service is pathetic, I got offered a 10% refund ‘as a gesture of goodwill’, a full store credit (yeah won’t shop there again when I can get similar quality from Temu for a 1/30th of the price) or I PAY TO SHIP BACK TO THEM for a refund.

Do NOT waste your money and time

I ordered two pairs of pants and both were of very poor quality - the first pair was practically see through and the second pair was a different size to what was on the label. Neither pair can be worn.

I was offered a store credit, partial refund (20%) or to return the items for a full refund. I attempted to return the items TO CHINA, only for the parcel to be returned to me some months later. The tracking information states that the addressee (whose details were provided by Elle) refused to accept the parcel. I contacted Elle, who said they don’t refuse to accept parcels, and offered a 30% refund (which barely covered my postage costs) as a gesture of goodwill. The alternative: return it for a full refund. I’m so done with this brand.

Please do not shop with this brand - you’re only wasting your time and money.

UPDATE: Elle's response goes absolutely nowhere. They ask you to contact them and then they ignore you. The biggest scam

If I could rate this company less than…

If I could rate this company less than 1 star, trust me I would. I purchased 3 dresses back in June 2025. All 3 arrived eventually, but were of the same quality as Shein or Temu - actually potentially lower quality. I got straight onto customer service regarding returning for a refund (over $300). They went on about discounts, etc, and eventually gave me the details to return the dresses. I did this, jumped through all the hoops they required and have been waiting, waiting, waiting for my refund. Then yesterday, 30.12.25, a courier delivers the parcel back to me stating the parcel was "refused". So,not only did I pay over $300 for these rubbish items, I have also spent over $30 in shipping costs to return them for absolutely nothing. Please Please Please do NOT purchase from Elle the Label. I do not wish for anyone to be in this position.

My wife ordered 4 items thinking it was an Australian business. She fell for the sob story about the business closing down and hence the big discounts. All the garments were of inferior quality, I should know as I worked in the rag trade for 50 years, who sells product nowadays with no brand labels and just a size pip, the sizing was all over the place and every thing is going back. All garments were $69 having worked with Chinese factories these garments would have been sourced at less than US10.00 each. Having paid well over AU$200 the purchase was an absolute rip off. You have been warned.
