AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST!!! EMG MOTOR GROUP IPSWICH!!!
I went to view a car at on 25/04/26 and paid a deposit to reserve it. I was told the car would be ready for collection the following weekend. However, the branch manager informed the sales executive, that they do not take payments on weekends and required the full balance to be paid by 30/04/26.
I explained that I was uncomfortable paying the full balance before seeing the completed car, especially as it still needed a service and MOT.
With some reassurance that everything will be sorted, went ahead and paid the deposit.
On 25/04/26 and again on 26/04/26, I emailed the sales executive with several concerns I wanted their mechanics to check before the car was released. During the following week, I received absolutely no update or acknowledgement regarding those emails.
On 29/04/26, only three days before the agreed collection date, my partner called to ask what was happening. His response was that the email had been sitting in the “junk folder” and that the car was currently in the workshop and the issues would be checked.
The next day, my partner called again because the MOT still had not been completed according to the online records. She spoke to the sales executive who assured her the car would go into the garage on 30/04/26 and would still be ready for collection on Saturday 02/05/26.
I then called on Friday to double-check everything with the sales executive, only to be told: “The car won’t be ready for Saturday, you can pick it up next week.”
They give false promises and they have very poor communication.
At that point, we decided not to proceed with the purchase and requested a refund of both the deposit and reservation fee. I also submitted a formal complaint email, which was completely ignored.
Since then, I have spent my time constantly calling and emailing back and forth trying to get my refund, and I still have not received it.
This dealership has shown poor communication, false promises, no accountability, and complete disrespect towards customers.
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS DEALERSHIP YOUR MONEY. Based on experience, they are dishonest, unprofessional, and only interested in taking your money while providing appalling customer service.

I like my sale person. Disappointed with the trade in price I got. Would like to know more about the app, which wasn't encouraged. I Wanted between 16000 and 17000 but only got 13260, for a mercedes that was only 6 years old, full service history but the sunroof didn't operate.
I have since found out info on the app, currently trying to connect it.
All the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. They gave you the necessary time to arrive at your decision and at no time pressurised you. I was served by Ian who made me feel very welcome and answered any questions that I had regardless of the length of the explanation.
The cars were of high quality and I would have no hesitation in recommending to any potential buyer.

Bought a vehicle from them, had it inspected by a local garage to find been in a major accident and passenger rear chassis was bent. Forced them to return it then they have it on sale before even giving me a refund to the next poor victim reg hv23 wze bmw i4. Buy it at your own risk!
I was seen by Oliver at EMG Ipswich, he was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to explaining the vehicles. His overall customer service was fantastic. Would defiantly recommend the garage to Friends and Family.

My faith in people and real professionals doing their job, has been restored after visiting and buying a car from the Haverhill branch. They did everything possible for us with a smile on their face even tho we kept them 1 hour after their closing times! Although I didn't end up buying a car from there - it was only because something else came up at the right time somewhere else.
I have never felt so looked after in my search for a car - personalized video's by the quite Excellent Matthew, and some very helpful phone chats over cars coming in. It has restored my faith in the process of buying a used car - especially after my last one.
I live over 90 miles away in London - and even so for my next car search I will not hesistate for a moment to start my search with them again.

An amazing experience at EMG we live in Bristol 146 miles away however EMG are the only dealership we would ever buy a car from this is our second car that we have brought from them in less than two years they make you feel so special every time we visit Tim was amazing and all of the people are just fantastic.
