Proper service personable, knowledgeable, focused, clear, Kieran Cowap got me additional cover at a good saving.
Preferred quote, Kieran is easy and friendly to deal with.
Basically I signed some tenants up with Mashroom by getting the tenants to sign up to the portal and went with rent collection service and 5% payment on rent. This is approved and means they and my property is insured if they pass the referencing checks.
My tenants were approved and moved in. Unfortunately the tenants couldn't pay the rent and almost a month in and no rent payment yet from them. Mashroom denied responsibility like I am meant to approve the tenants. But I was happy to approve them if they passed as I knew they were fully insured.
But they are not as Mashroom gave up on them already. So I am stuck with trash tenants who moved in without paying rent who aren't insured and fundamentally the checks I paid for to credit check them and reference check were meaningless as they are exactly the trash entitled tenants who will move In, not pay, trash and go.
If Mashroom just sell services and then avoid the responsibility they offer with an assisted service then I may as well just slum it with OpenRent. At least with OR they don't pretend to help you!
No after service. I used Mashroom last year for building insurance and all went well and I received a lower premium policy from my previous supplier. I contacted them again as another policy was coming up for renewal. At first the service seemed fine and attentive, but when the main person I was dealing with went on annual leave, there was no handover, and the other staff members did not seem interested in the current deadline and so this was missed. When the policies were finalised and received (3 days after the deadline), discrepancies on the polices were noted and advised and to date (7 days after), no amendments to the incorrect policies have been made and I have had no update. A simple and courteous call or email would suffice and my voicemails are not being answered.
On the face of it, they seem good, efficient and contactable, but at the heart of it, they lack follow up and conviction. Not what you need when you are setting up a policy costing over £2k. To have incorrect policies almost 2 weeks after the renewal is not acceptable. I would give these guys a miss until these issues are resolved.

Such a nightmare what i’m going through because of this company to get my refund from a fake agent scammed me. After do the viewing I called to this company to check with them if the landlord registered was verified thoroughly . Be very careful don’t pay your money to any personal account.
Griffin provide the perfect blend of service. Where the online world has taken over on marketing they enabled us to leverage all the advantages at a huge discount compared to traditional estate agents. But they also provided us with a very low cost sales progression service which I’ve realised now is non-optional, because as seller I wouldn’t have had the communications access to facilitate it myself. Again this is at a huge discount compared to traditional estate agent.
I haven’t worked with any other online agent, but I was very surprised that there was no loss of personalisation to the service. I always spoke to Nick, he responded quickly, always recalled the full context and really worked hard to help us push through a complex chain.
I really don’t think any other large online agent would offer the same.
Having control of the pictures and viewings also suited us really well. Some of the houses we viewed would have benefited from taking control themselves IMO.

The whole process dealt by Kieran was very good, from the initial consultation to getting the quote that was tailored to our requirements, and also managed to get flood cover, which I have been struggling to get for the last few years.
