My old Mercedes campervan ( 17 ) had a faulty oil pump causing untold. The engine hadn’t thrown a piston and was still turning over but on inspection the damage to rebuild was too far gone. Short block later and a complete rebuild this old girl has a brand new motor and ready to travel all over Europe again
Yes the price over doubled but to replace would be like cutting off our legs
Pictures pictures pictures and loads of common sense. Just had the first 200-300 service and the engine is as balanced as a weighing scale. Smooth consistent with no surging or vibrations - just as a new engine should be

Great attention to detail
Speedy responses, good communication and a professional service. Some other reviews mention extra/unexpected charges which, there were, but only because Danny has such attention to detail he wants to hand over the car in absolutely perfect condition.
He did a total engine replacement on my evoque and brought it back to life.
Definitely would recommend.

Jaguar XJ8 / X308 engine rebuild
I own a 23-year-old Jaguar XJ8. In November last year I had catastrophic engine failure that required a complete engine rebuild - if I wanted to keep the car. I entrusted Engine Reborn Ltd. to undertake the work for me. The work was carried out to a high standard. The process was fully explained and every step of the rebuild was itemised.
This is not a cheep process by any means, and you should be prepared for any incidentals and unknowns that may be found once the engine has been fully stripped down - that are not included in the original quotation and work schedule. For example, in my case, I required new pistons as mine could not be repaired. Pictures are taken of the engine from the beginning, middle and end of the rebuild and shared with you. The work is warrantied for six months and is dependent on bringing the car back to this garage at the allocated service intervals, which is entirely fair and reasonable.
I have had no issues with my car since the work was carried out and today I have taken it for its first service. If you have a classic car or simply a car that you cherish and wish to keep, you will not go wrong in entrusting this firm to carry out your engine rebuild.

Let me keep it simple. Do not use this company under any circumstances - any successful work that have done is either purely by chance or a disaster waiting to happen...; do not be fooled by their assurances, once they have your car, the quote will likely increase by at least 50% and then you will face further expenditure to rectify what they have done. In my case my additional costs exceeded the original quote and I still have a car that does not work properly because they didn't put it back together properly...if you inspect their premises and meet Danny, it should tell you what you want to know. Just don't.

we are a little puzzled here by this review as we have no record of you or your vehicle,
perhaps you could give us your full name and details of the vehicle and when it was with us ? If
any customer has any concerns whatsoever we always do our utmost to resolve them, we require
all vehicles post bare engine rebuild to ensure that the service schedule is adhered to as this is
key to check all parts are working efficiently after running in period. Once we have your details we
can check our records to give a more detailed response.
After careful consideration I’ve taken the ford ranger and had it all repaired and done to the standard that is required by another garage . I won’t go into everything
After careful consideration I’ve decided not to take my ford ranger back after 2000 miles with an oil leak and still in warranty. He wanted more money after taking almost 10k off me to sort the oil leak and I have no confidence what so ever in his ability to correct the fault without costing a shed load more of money . It cost me almost £1500 when it came back from him for me to get sheared off bolts that he had done and not put back in , he did have a go at them but left them and who builds an engine but dosnt test the turbo and hasn’t got anyone near them who can do it . This company has been no good for us what so ever . Avoid at all costs is the best advice I can give anyone, that my opinion.

Hi Sean, it seems as though you are determined to slander us here at Engine Reborn however we
have the right to reply and correct your statements.
The vehicle was NOT brought to us for servicing this is negligence of the newly built engine.
There was no money asked of you in regards to checking an oil leak after over 2000 miles of
driving without service, we stated categorically that we would despite you having violated terms
of your warranty inspect and repair if necessary. NO MONEY was requested.
Why on earth would you or in fact anyone pay £1500 to fix bolts ??? And if they were something
that you think that we did then that’s even more reason to demand we put it right.
The turbo on your vehicle as explained previously is a Twin Turbo with one side being a SEALED
UNIT, this CANNOT be tested/Check by us or any other garage without specialist equipment and you
DECLINED our suggestion that it be sent to Turbo’s a specialist near to us instead stating
that you would take it to your mechanic near you.
In summary you have had your engine rebuilt for a fraction of a main dealership cost and the
mileage you have completed so far speaks volumes, you have not even brought the vehicle in for
vital first service yet you wish to make slanderous statements on a public platform without
giving us opportunity to inspect and or remedy if necessary.
Thankfully we have hundreds of satisfied customers who have kept to the service schedule an
appreciate our efforts and advice .
Definitely Recommend!
Fabulous, super-helpful service. Very reliable and personable. Car has been restored to brand new!! Would whole-heartedly recommend - 100 per cent!

Jaguar XE R Sport AWD full rebuild
After a major engine failure on my Jaguar XF R-Sport AWD I looked around for a company to rebuild it.
I looked at reviews and estimated costs before setting on engine reborn. The 140 mile distance was a worry as it was beyond local. After confirming the commission and paying for the next day transportation to Chadwell Heath and an initial payment via bank transfer things progressed swiftly.
I received pictures and video of the car arriving and the engine removed (whole) and dismantled showing all major components.
The report that accompanied it identified some additional components not included in the original quotation. This was a substantial addition and is difficult (as a customer) to see the costs escalate within a couple of days. However I did receive a comprehensive list of the parts.
The rebuild took a bit longer than originally expected due to the additional works required.
I had to chase a little as they were very busy and the additional work had changed my engine’s position in their scheduling.
I received pictures of the rebuilt engine and a proposed pick up date from Danny. This was delayed as two injectors were found to be operating at less than optimal and confirmation to replace them requested.
I went to collect the car and while there following a final test drive the engine started to run hot. Danny would not release the car as it was and following some diagnostics found that at least one of the additional water pumps was faulty and had to be replaced. Danny tried many supplier’s (while I was in the office) and that was helpful in confirming the trade price of the parts.
As they were not available on the day I had to return another day to collect.
The car engine felt great, probably better than new (4,000mls). I returned to have the 1000ml oil change service as per the warranty which was while you wait.
The car run issue free for the next 5000 miles when the last warranty service was due. On the service they found an oil leak due to a seal failure to an ancillary component which was replaced as part of the service.
During the process I spoke to Danny at length about how difficult it was for customers being told they need new parts as they normally have no idea what they are, look like etc. Danny started to send pictures of the broken part plus the new part side by side and where possible fitted. This raised my trust levels considerably.
I have to say the engine is running great. The whole experience is as expected a little fraught, but would, based on the final outcome ( 6000 miles and 6 months recommend Danny and Engine Reborn.
