Enthuse to the rescue

I was rather stressed about the fact that I had two fund raising pages and dreaded trying to do anything about it in case I messed up . Danielle and Capi came to the rescue , and emailed to say all was done and no need for me to do anything . This I call excellent service , which nowadays can be rare . Thank you both.

Clear communication; swift action

I am fundraising for the National Autistic Society and needed help adding money - raised offline by a raffle and sent directly to the charity - to my page. I was braced for a slow, bureaucratic process, but one of the team, Danielle Taylor, sorted it all almost immediately. I was impressed by her clear communication and swift action. Thank you.

Watch out for hidden charges

Uses dark ux patterns to add a “voluntary tip” to donations that is very easily missed.

It’s a for profit organisation and these voluntary tips do not go towards the charities.

Pretty unethical and immoral in my view

What a rip off!

What a rip off! Went to sponsor a friend who is running in the London marathon and raising money for a charity. I wanted to donate £10 and Enthuse wanted to charge me a set amount of £2.50 to cover their costs! This amount can be varied on a ‘slider’ but the minimum amount on the ‘slider’ is £1.50 - still a rip-off! Underneath the ‘slider’ in small print it says that you can vary the amount manually. I would imagine that most people wouldn’t take the time or trouble to alter the amount payable to Enthuse and it bothers me that the default settings are set so high.

Donate very carefully via this site

Donate very carefully via this site . It’s manufactured to take a tip that isn’t obvious when going through the process. A 25 pound donation to charity and they want to take 5 for themselves.

It sounds petty but it’s actually very well hidden and they are essentially profiting off a charity donation.

If you read the other one star reviews, a common occurrence. Particularly when using a mobile phone to pay . The money would sit much better with the actual charity.

Update: they are now asking for my phone number and name. I’m not engaging. Seemingly people engage for a refund and up their rating (see the 4 star ones). The logical thing would be for them to alter their software to opt you out rather than in automatically. Leaves a bad taste.

Our experience with Enthuse was…First class!

Our experience with Enthuse was excellent. We feel that the face to face meetings really helped us to understand the service and we felt valued as a charity. Nothing was too much trouble.
Jared kept in regular contact with us throughout the set up process and we were offered an excellent rate. I would highly recommend Enthuse to other charities.

We use Enthuse to collect any donations…

We use Enthuse to collect any donations to our charity and also claim gift aid too. I had a request to enable attendees at an event to be able to directly donate to us (Ayrshire Samaritans) and with the great help from Claire Jones, I was able to create a QR code which linked to our Enthuse page and allowed attendees to donate to us.....Thank you Claire Jones for your help.

Offline donation support

I needed to add an offline donation to one of our charity fundraisers as they had banked cash into our account. I got in contact with Enthuse and Emma Smith responded within the same day and had added the funds to our Marathon runners page so quickly. This service is what you need when you are busy with managing fundraisers. No chasing just swift support and service thanks Emma for you help
