RETHINK PURCHASES

I have been a long time fan of Epic Sports.. This year alone I have spent over 7k alone on uniforms, equipment, and I had recently bought 2 full sized goals.

Before this I would have said 10/10, always wonderful... HOWEVER they have changed their customer service to online/text/email support only... This was also the same time I ordered 2 full size goals with a cost of 4k for the order... I had a HORRIBLE experience with the chat and the email customer service. I spoke to three different people each was not helpful and had me fill out a form or send an email to the other ones, which no actual support being given.

In the end I was promised that I would be scheduling and coordinating delivery of the goals I ordered, however they refused to call me, refused to have a manager call me... did not give me the shipper info- in fact they stated that the shipper was not assigned yet and that some one would contact me.. and I have a scheduled delivery on the site for 4/3 -

This NEVER happened and my 4k purchase was not only just dropped and left outside - but it was dropped and left broken a school storge unit and comprised a handicap parking area. I found out because the employees at the school came across it while walking after church on Sunday 3/29..

Very Very sadly I will not be using this company anymore. The changes in customer service and the lack of respect or care for the costs or fund and then the belongings has made as all so upset we are just going to source another location for any and all other items will need in the future.

Wrong Color - No refund/exchange given.

The color is cream/butter yellow, not Vegas Gold. I reached out the day it arrived and was told a refund was requested. Then the next day I was told my lighting must be off and the vender stated it was their "standard" for Vegas Gold therefore no refund. I have had to file a claim with my credit card. Also - it was delivered over a week later than estimated.

Amy, I'm sorry this order didn't meet your expectations. I'm not sure if anything can be done since this IS the vendors set color. I also understand it was later than estimated, sublimated orders come from overseas and the war has caused some of the delays. I'm sorry your order was one of those that experienced this delay. I'm in Marketing, so I'm sending this info to CS management to review. I'll get back to you as soon as I can after I hear from them.

The Vegas Gold pants do not look at all…

The Vegas Gold pants do not look at all close to Vegas Gold. Shipping charges are too expensive, shipping was late and takes too long, my box was damaged and they had just thrown my purchases in the box. Very disappointing.

Buy from at your own risk

I purchased a Size 7 Rawlings Contour basketball from Epic Sports, but it arrived noticeably lighter than regulation weight. Their website description presented it as a standard, first-quality ball, with zero warnings about it being a factory second or having weight variations.

I wrote my name on the ball before playing with it and realizing the severe weight defect. When I contacted support, the representative dismissed the weight issue as "normal manufacturing tolerances" and "air pressure," and used the marker on the ball as a convenient excuse to deny the return.

It is incredibly deceptive to sell off-spec sporting goods without clear upfront disclosure, and then hide behind a return technicality when called out. Buy at your own risk if you actually need gear that meets official specifications.

It's also interesting that there was no option to review the basketball on their site, even when logged in. They must be selling factory seconds and that's why they are cheaper.

Edit: Why is Epic Sports asking me to place my personal order number on a public site?

No way is this ball NOT different. I was there playing with the exact same basketball model (Contour) about 2 months ago when my friend bought one and it was brand new, from a different retailer. We played with it. The weight was normal ( Every new ball I've ever handled was normal weight). It was comparable to the OHSSA weight with his. The ball that was shipped to me is SIGNIFICANTLY lighter than his was when brand new. It flies out of everyone's hand and everyone's shooting was way off with my ball. They all said it was lighter. The only people who shot well with it were those who are used to the Wilson Evo NXT, which is admittedly lighter. That is what this ball feels like.

I can't prove that the ones you sell are factory seconds but perhaps that is why the balls are cheaper on your site. Maybe that's what the factory is giving you. It's inexcusable.

Your ball is directly from Rawlings. The product descriptions are exactly as Rawlings requires. It would clearly state if it were off-spec.

As the customer service rep tried to explain, you were comparing the new ball weight/feel to an older, broken-in ball, and a different model ball. That's understandable. But an older ball that has been used regularly may feel heavier or more controlled compared to a newer ball that is still firm and not yet broken in. Inflation levels can also impact how the ball feels during play.

A new, high-quality leather basketball needs breaking in because they arrive stiff, slippery, and over-coated with wax. Composite leather requires hours of dribbling and shooting on hardwood to soften, improve grip, and darken the leather for optimal performance. Once you break the ball in, you'll notice it performs better - much like new sneakers.

It seems you understood we may not even be able to do the return with your name printed largely in permanent marker. "I understand the label with my name is pretty large, and if nothing can be done due to that."

We're sorry the return wasn't possible. We hope you give the new ball a chance, break it in, and hopefully it'll become your favorite!

The webpage to customize apparel and…

The webpage to customize apparel and add to cart is currently very difficult to use. We ended up accidentally getting a blank piece instead of a custom piece like we had hoped.
The stuff that arrived is good quality though.
