Excellent service

I have now printed four books with this company and I could not be more happy. The service is fast and the communication is first rate. My last order arrived is less than five days.
The best feature is the postage charges from Germany.
I ordered 30 books and postage was £5
I then tried to post 10 of these within the UK and the Post Office wanted £28.
I especially like the review feature where you can check out exactly what the book will look like.

Terrible service

I was left £100 out of pocket by this German printing company when I ordered several hard copies of my novel. The delivery was late (they promised 8-10 working days, it was more like three weeks) and the prints I received were in A4. Who on earth would order a novel in A4?!

I remember selected the A5 print size, but when I called to inquire the service desk stated that because I had not uploaded the novel in A5 format, the fault was with me.

Perhaps it is the German-English translation, but the only instruction on their website is, “We will automatically scale your documents to the desired format.” I assumed it was just that – automatic. Scaled. To desired format. Am I wrong in my interpretation? I don’t understand how epubli can take that sentence and insist that the ‘real’ meaning behind it is, “upload the file in the size that you want.”

When I asked for an exchange (I offered to send the A4 books back and obtaining my desired size, A5), or a refund, I was met with a resounding “NO!”

The ironic thing is that I have an A4 printer and binder not only at home but also in my office. I could have easily saved £70 and done it myself.

I was disillusioned at epubli’s unhelpful nature, at their condescending manner and their complete and utter delusion that a “No refunds, no exchanges, nothing not even if we made a mistake” Policy will work in a competitive market such as printing.

To be fair on epubli, they seem to be doing well in Germany. However, if you are based in a different country (I ordered my books from the UK) I would strongly suggest avoiding them. Heaven forbid you send a large and expensive order through them, they stuff it up then refuse to help you, as they did me.

Pick another printing company, there are plenty around.

Incredible service

I'd highly recommend epubli; I ordered a one-off book and was perfect for my needs.

Their website shows you exactly how much each book is going to cost, no hidden charges ensure that the experience is easy and swift. Putting together the book and choosing the paper, binding, size and more couldn't be easier. I only needed a one-off book, this wasn't expensive and I wasn't penalised for the single printing.

The correspondence staff are very helpful and very quick to reply, it's clear that their focus is customer experience, a pleasant change to some competitors.

When I received my book it was packaged well and looked outstanding. The printing quality truly exceeded my expectations.

I'd certainly recommend epubli; you'll be amazed by the service you receive.
