This credit agency do such a bad work for years now.
I still can't understand why so many companies deal with it.
They didn't recognize the security breach in 2017 while my personal data were stolen.
My credit score did change month after month, sometimes drastically even my consumption habits didn't change.
On the opposit, the Transunion credit score is very stable...
When asking Equifax why there is such a volatility on my credit score, the only response is "How, this is not a real score, it doesn't reflects the reality of your risk, it is computer generated and of course it is what it is. "
"You are not impacted with your credit score because the companies are more likely to watch your credit report, to see if you are A1".
This is completely false of course. I did check the criteria for insurance company ratings. There are malus points depending on the credit score.
So again Equifax just continues to lie to customers and just can't adapt their algorithm to reflect adequately the real risk level.

Horrible customer service , just spoke to two agents who made it seem like I was bothering them for asking about my dispute filed.

Terrible customer service; in fact I hesitate to call it service. All I wanted to do was register a fraud alert on my elderly father's accounts and despite having the documentation to do so the request was denied with a laundry list of things to provide. Could you make it any harder to protect seniors from criminals? It's no wonder there are so many scams, criminals can move way faster than this lot. Call centres in a country other than the one you are in benefit no-one but the 'shareholders'. Shameful and not protecting my financial security.

Have been using this service for about a year now. I want to switch to another service provider and it wont let me cancel my service. Here it says the is a cancel button under My account but there is not!

When you call in there is a call robot saying that their very busy and then after asking what you want just hangs up. I bet you they don't even have anyone working there. Also the robot mentioned something about data breach and settlement which is not alarming at all

They are an underhanded company - if you sign up for one credit report they are signing you up for monthly billing without your knowledge. It is impossible to cancel your account once you've unknowingly signed up. They are fraudulent - BEWARE!

Hy there ,I need a help from you guys regarding my equifax credit repot. Those equifax guys giving me very hard time . It’s a kind of financial emergence for me , but these guys are not taking my problem as a seriously from last one week. They said I have I car loan and multiple cards but I never applied for car loan and cards . I went to buy a car from Honda they said you have multiple card and a car loan on equifax profile. But equifax guys told its our mistake and we will solve this in 24 hours .Now they are saying same thing from last one week that we will solve your problem in 24 hours.I don’t know when there 24 hour commitment come to an end .They are very unprofessional. I don’t understand from where they gather my wrong information and spoiled my credit profile.So please give me any solution if somebody have, I will be very thankful to you guys.

Horrible service when reporting a death
Advised to report death of family member to credit bureaus and what an ordeal that is proving to be. Not nice at a time when we’re grieving a great loss. Horrible service. These are the companies we trust with essential information?
I just cancelled my services
I just cancelled my services. What I find strange is, I called last year to cancel because of the monthly charges of $26.20 and they offered me a discount to pay half price. Last month, because the offer for 1 year expired, I was charged $26.20 again. I just called again to cancel and now they offered the service to me for $5.00. It almost sounds like a scam if I had not been certain I got the phone number from the Equifax website. I cancelled my services.
My credit report shows someone elses name and addresses
I went to apply for a mortgage and the mortgage broker told me that someone else's name (ayalew) is appearing on my credit report and so are 2 addresses that do not belong to me. They claimed they fixed this in early June. But I checked in October and still the error is not fixed. This is very easy to fix but they are slow to improve and correct errors. This is waste of my time!!! dealing with this. This could have been fixed within 2 weeks, what they hell are they doing at equifax????????????
Equifax erroneously merged my wife's file with another person! Homeless now!
We got a mortgage for a home purchase but when they pulled my wife's credit history, it showed an unusual alias associated with her name and along with that a bunch of credit accounts that don't belong to her. The lender required as part of the mortgage instructions that the person behind the alias is one in the same as my wife - which it is not. After several calls to Equifax (customer service was good and empathized with our situation), they acknowledged there was a file mix-up but that the changes would not be resolved until well after our home's possession date! As such, our mortgage won't go through and therefore, will be out of our home plus all the financial setbacks with walking away from the deal (i.e. losing our deposit).
This has crippled and crushed our lives and dreams and are now scrambling for shelter.

Equifax scams people consistently. My husband and I have both tried to cancel our subscriptions multiple times and they still charge our cards! The only way to truly cancel is to ask my credit card company to not allow them to charge or to get a new credit card number. This is despicable especially coming from a company that basically dictates our value in society. Really hope TransUnion overtakes them.
Terrible - Monthly program to cancel!
Hi, This company is terrible. They will not let you close your account charge online and when you call its busy. they make you tell them 12 to 15 questions for security purposes and it is more important to them for the cancel then for your privacy. Do not take a monthly program with them ever!
