It's quite complicated to set up an eSIM with any provider. But the fact that you can get chat support on a Sunday morning and help get your SIM card activated makes eSIM4Travel my choice. I used Aira... See more

Driving from Toronto to New York city, bought the esim prior to driving down had everything setup for when we crossed the border and about an hour after entering the USA data stopped working. We stopped for lunch, reset our phones turned the esims off and on and nothing. We used a total of 52 MB and it stopped working. During our trip, I tried turning on esim4travel again, and it still would not connect. To solve my problem the first day I bought the NOMAD Esim that I had used last year which worked flawlessly and this year it worked flawlessly again. Don't waste your money on something that is so cheap it won't even work in the city.

Really bad internet speed, and not to mention constant disconnections (every few minutes), so you're unable to watch any kind of video content. Have used their e-sim, in Bosnia & Hercegovina, at the begining of August, 2024.

Using it in the US. Has a download rate of below 1 Mbit/s (!) and is therefore hardly usable. Roots all traffic over some Polish server. Complete rubbish.

Very bad connection…
I’m using it in Canada and the speed is very slow and sometimes without connection…
I used to use Airalo and the service is much better and the the connection is better and faster.

Bought 2 esim for Malaysia (1 for Android & 1 for IPhone). Supposed to roam using Digi. Most of the time not connected to the network or no internet access . You have to switch on and off airplane mode and play with the APN name to hope getting the connection back.
At Last a nightmare. May be it works for other countries but defenetly not for Malaysia.
Would not recommend. Waste of money and time.

Installed before I left home, activated when I landed in Tirana/Albania. Worked like a charm. Good value. Easy to top off If you need more GB. Recommended!

Data didn't work despite following troubleshooting steps, although customer service was very quick and immediately cancelled order after I asked them to

Good speed in Canada, fast checkout and very very competitive price

I travelled to the US recently and I had zero problem setting it up and using the data once my plane landed at the airport.
Would recommend 100%.

First time trying eSIM4Travel, worst eSIM experience ever. It barely connects and when it does, it's only H+, no 4G. If it was the 1st time I was using an eSIM, it would probably put me off. I am going back to my usual eSIM.

Bought an eSim for curacao but we had poor range, so could not really use the data connection during our holiday

Needed an esim at short notice after my network provider (SMARTY) had a fault which meant that I could not roam. Ordered from my phone using wifi and worked well in Belgium and Luxembourg. Connected to the major networks. One star dropped as it wanted you to set up via a QR code and that was not possible for me. The instructions for my phone to install manually were incorrect. Was able to work it out but may not be for those not confident in changing phone settings.

Used in Czech Republic. It took about 10 minutes to start working but once it did, it was fantastic. Rarely dropped signal and the speeds were excellent.

I got this one for few days in Malaysia and chooses this one through esimdb.com. it was the cheapest option. Installation was manually, so that was not very convenient. The connection is sometimes very good and sometimes very slow. If you casually use your internet, it's fine. But if you rely on internet for your trip for example to book Grab, then I recommend other eSIM (I used Northsim for few weeks and that one was really good). I contacted the customer service with the complaint and they just replied with the installation instructions.

Used the 1GB / 7 days package for Italy. It works, and for the price it's unbeatable, but the experience is suboptimal. First, the activation wasn't too smooth, needing to set up APN manually following the help pages - usually these are set up automatically or can be picked from a list. Then the connectivity is very spotty - for the network that the eSIM supports (lliad, WIND), the signal is really bad, I get disconnected every few minutes and had to manually reset network or turn off/on airplane mode to get it to be connected. I'm using dual SIMs so I can see that my other SIM card isn't disconnecting all the time on another network (TIM). It's incredibly inconvenient to keep having to reconnect to data whenever I need to use data.
I'll recommend only if you are casually using data and not reliant on it for anything important because the connection is so hit and miss.

The internet speed was good, my sisters and I happily used it in Tokyo. 10GB is more than enough for my travels. Recommended!

works in Canada without any issues and is simple to use and install.
cons: no option for calls or text

Used esim4travel in Mexico, had no issues with the network, overall a good experience. Would consider using it again.
