Absolutely brilliant week.
Food good, skiing brilliant.
The staff at the hotel were all first class! Could not fault anything.
If you have smaller kids and want a brilliant place to, then this is it!

Excellent holiday. Fabulous staff that were very accommodating and helpful. Our 6 year old fell in love with skiing and the cocoa club!!

Fantastic family holiday in La Rosière. Chalet spacious and comfortable, hot tub a bonus the kids enjoyed as much as the adults. Childcare easy to access when needed, kids really bonded with staff. Cocoa club a big hit. Felt very supported by all staff in resort. Lucky with weather and ski conditions, enjoyed the novelty of skiing to Italy. Would recommend Esprit and can’t wait till next year!

This was brilliant. Esprit at their best. Having been on multiple Esprit holidays, this was the cherry. We had an amazing chalet host, Isla, and the childcare, was, as always, amazing. Our baby loved it and came back with so much art! We skied, and our five year old had really great lessons. The celebration was so lovely, and the Esprit staff were endlessly kind and helpful. We stayed in les Arcs, and since we last went they have updated the pool and it’s now a spa and pool with sauna and wellness. It is lovely. So much better than our last visit. We will be back next year- we LOVED it!

Having become accustomed to Esprit Ski's above and beyond quality following 3 years with them, this year's holiday felt like Esprit have made some savings and cut some of the frills particularly in relation to catering. And next year, although increasing their prices, they are actually cutting the number of meals offered. I cannot fault the staff who strive to provide the best within their remit, and we had a lovely family experience but it is no longer good value for the expense.

First time in Chalet with esprit having stayed in Chalet Hotels with Esprit on 6 previous occasions.
The Food ands its service was poor overall and did not reach the standard we have come to expect from Esprit. ( No gas to cook fried eggs on one morning and then refused an option the following morning, accompanied by no bread for toast!)
Chalet walls and ceilings did not allow much privacy between families and communal areas not cleaned particularly well,(old food under the table in the lounge area on arrival)
Afternoon cakes very good and rep Emily very helpful.
It appears the staff require more guidance and possibly management to aspire to providing high standards expected when a family is paying a lot of money for their holiday.
Child care good overall but one member of staff needs to go on a customers relation/training course and realise she is representing a reputable family ski company.
On the last evening we were informed by another guest that a staff member had told her that our Chalet was the worst in Esprits cluster of Chalets in the resort!
Overall we did have a good time and the skiing was brilliant, but these mentioned issues unfortunately did have and effect on our holiday.

Great Chalet Host, however Esprit need to understand that penny pinching on essentials that hamper their staffs ability to work is foolhardy. Our chalet host was short I equipment when cooking and when asked we were told that items needed to be replaced but that the local budget had been overspent and there was no money. The worst was cleaning equipment and materials where the equipment was inadequate and to be honest and unhygienic.... this should be sorted

The perfect set up for families skiing with small children

Fantastic family experience! The whole holiday ticked all the boxes as a family on their first Ski holiday I would highly recommend this for any young families as an excellent set up for skiing.

Yet again, a fantastic holiday with Esprit. We felt completely comfortable leaving our little one in nursery whilst our eldest had great fun in lessons, meaning that we could enjoy our skiing. The food was very good, and the hotel’s location is second to none, right on the piste.

Excellent holiday at Hotel Duc de Savoie, really comfortable rooms and beds, lovely food and fantastic friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend

Great holiday the Esprit experience is seamless.

Chalet location is good and resort has good skiing. Overall a great holiday.

However, food in the chalet is poor; we had issues with both ski school and childcare at the resort; we were unhappy with transfer options; and the service from the airline at the airport was dire.

Esprit Ski's handling of these issues was sometimes good and in some cases poor.

We booked with Esprit last minute as we had to cancel a holiday to a different destination the week before due to child illness.
It was our first experience with Esprit.

We were very very impressed overall with Esprit. We stayed at the Crystal 2000 in Courchevel 1850. The hotel, as other reviews show, is certainly not in the luxurious category, but it is clean, functional, and is in prime position if you want ski in/ski out.
The biggest positives were the staff, childcare, ease and the food. The staff were wonderful........all friendly, helpful and wonderful with the children. The whole service works so well, with ski school going from the hotel, the high tea, listening service etc. It made everything very easy.
Some friends who were there, had been previously and said that the food in previous years had not been great. The week we were there it was very good, there was no meal that i would criticise and overall it was very good.

A great experience and we would go with Esprit again.

Awesome guys and girls. So caring and attentive to kids and adults. Takes all the hassle out of ski arrangements too.

Our second holiday with Esprit Ski was very enjoyable. Breakdown of our four-star rating shown below:

Skiing 5 stars - for intermediate and advanced skiers this is a good resort; plenty of long, red runs with some challenging terrain and off-piste opportunities. Lift queues were non-existent during the week, and only two minutes at the weekend. The local ski school also provided some wonderful tuition across the Monterosa area.

Childcare 4 stars - very good but perhaps pay some more attention to detail (e.g. a few of the children went out without enough layers on the colder days). We left the chalet hotel with full confidence that our toddlers would be safe and have lots of fun.

Food and chalet service 4 stars - the quality of food served for dinner at Chalet Hotel Valverde exceeded our expectations; the service received was consistently good. The company representative, Peter was always available and provided guests with useful information.

Accommodation 3 stars - a little rough around the edges; the common areas were fine. The bedrooms could probably do with a service (e.g. check the plumbing on the toilet flushes, and also new curtain rails). But absolutely fit for purpose.

Chalet night-off 5 stars - the Morgenrot restaurant on the mountain served a wonderful dinner; no issues catering for younger children either with choices that include pasta and steak. Plus the excitement of heading up and back down again in the Snowcat.

On the whole highly recommended, we would return as a family.

Esprit are excellent - we enjoyed the holiday immensely. The kids clubs are great and the St Anton chalet, Pepi Gabl, also offers the free listening sevice. We used this more than the evening kids club as it means the kids can stay in bed in the evening which is great especially when they are tired from skiing.

Our family of 8 with ages ranging for 3 to mid sixties (3 generations) have just returned from a week of skiing in La Rosiere in France with Esprit.
Although it was half term week the slopes were uncrowded, there was no waiting for lifts, and there were even tables available in the restaurants for lunch.
The resort and Esprit are completely set up for family holidays. The nursery and children's ski school were excellent, and the staff so attentive and helpful.
We stayed in a wonderful chalet, with ski in and out, and our hostess Louisa was an outstanding cook, making us excellent meals and of course wonderful cakes for afternoon tea. Nothing was too much trouble for her or the Esprit managers who dropped by every day to ensure we were Ok.
I would certainly recommend Esprit and La Rosiere as an ideal place to take a family skiing holiday.
