No fault of Wrangler

No fault of Wrangler, but jeans were not fit I had before and synthetic content higher than my old ones, so I sent them back. However, a month later and no word on refund. So I searched and emailed on 16th November whereupon received email confirming money would be returned in 5 to 10 days. Fine, but I have to wonder if that would have happened if I hadn't chased it a month after the return....

Here we go

Here we go, finally found a Jean that might fit and my order accepted paid and now they cancelled my order? No reason why just cancelled so here I go … hope I done have to wait for a refund, but more importantly how are they managing their website? If they don’t have the products why have them available to order and pay for them! Very disappointing

I needed to return some items

I needed to return some items. Unfortunately the website had some problems; through contact with customer services I was provided with tracking return labels and return details, within the same working day.

Fast, kind and peace of mind provider…

I bought the jeans as a gift and asked Customer Service about being able to exchange the product for the same but in different size in case I made an error selecting the size with the caveat that this will happen in a month, which is by when I need to deliver the gift. The response was fast, kind and really provided peace of mind as I was told that it would not be an issue.

Shambolic and untruthful- order 200000110394

This company appears to be in utter disarray. Ordered two pairs of Jeans Wrangler sent wrong Colour. Still awaiting refund from beginning of August. Phoned twice and told items received in good condition in warehouse, with refund to follow in few days.

This was not in fact truthful,Still awaiting refund at end of August.

Simply not good enough and not trustworthy retailer.

It is a pity TP does not allow users to post a zero stars review. I note from other complaints that the company are making excuses about maintenance affecting refund timescales. There isn't an excuse for trading and keeping customer's money that does not belong to you. They do not seem to have any problems taking payment. A large, well known brand like Lee/ Wrangler should really know better.

Thank you very much for your review. I sympathize with your frustrations, it is never ideal to have to wait for results, especially when it concerns money. I have checked your order and seen that your refund was processed on August 30th, therefore you should see the funds in your account by now. Please let us know if you have any doubts about this.

That being said, the reasons you were given for the mishaps and delays were in fact the truth. This summer we launched a massive system update which we knew would be a challenge, but well worth the trouble in the end. There were delays involved, which you will have seen clearly mentioned on our website because we wanted to be transparent with our customers.

Following these delays when we were back in the swing of things, we were facing a bit of a backlog which is a normal side effect of system downtime. Again we tried our best to keep our customers as up to date as possible to avoid disappointment, but with system changes we were not certain of final dates for when the backlog would be cleared. We apologize for the delay but are glad that everything now appears to be resolved.

As for your order arriving in the wrong colour, I apologize sincerely for the mix-up. In the new system there has been some miss-matching of codes resulting in slightly different items being sent out. But as our customers reported these errors, we have been able to fix them to avoid the same issue recurring. We are super appreciative of our customers’ understanding and bearing with us through this transitory period while we work out the hiccups. Our good relationship with our customers has enabled us to manage this transition so calmly. We will only be stronger in the end!

Appalling Customer Service

My order has been lost, somewhere between Wrangler and Yodel and the response from Wrangler to this is nothing short of shocking.
I was lied to initially and advised that my order was delayed in the Czech Republic. Just an excuse to mark my query as dealt with, clearly. On calling for a second time, Wrangler accepted that the order must be lost but that they couldn’t process a refund as they would have to wait for Yodel to confirm that the order was lost. I was advised that Yodel typically respond by the next day and that a refund would be processed as soon as a response was received. When I queried why I couldn’t be sent a replacement order, I was advised that this was not Wrangler’s policy and I must place another order. I have never heard of a company not being able to issue a replacement order when the issue is from their/their service providers’ side - it’s absolutely ridiculous! On asking to see where this is detailed in their policy/policies, I have actually been sent the details around how to place an order on the website! It is not clear, anywhere in the terms and conditions on the website, that this is their policy and I believe it is just an excuse being used to reduce the amount of work on their side.
Two days later I haven’t received confirmation of the refund being processed, I have been sent a form I must complete to receive a refund - which apparently if I don’t return to them within 7 days I’m confirming that I have received the package! Seriously?! Yodel is a tracked delivery service and the details of my order haven’t been updated since the day Wrangler marked it as dispatched. Why do I need to provide any further confirmation? There was absolutely no mention of me needing to do this on the two calls I had on Monday and it is just another way to delay processing the refund. The issue is entirely with Wrangler and Yodel and yet I am expected to run around filling forms in and having to chase them to get my own money back from an obligation Wrangler have failed to fulfil. I have done nothing wrong, I should not be the one being so inconvenienced here.
I requested a call back from a manager/supervisor and was advised it’s very hard as they are all working from home. How can they try and use this as an acceptable excuse when working from home has been common practice for 18 months now?! Suffice to say, I haven’t received a call back from a manager/supervisor and don’t expect to.
I would suggest never ordering from Wrangler, purely based on the reasoning that in case you have an issue the level of customer service you have to deal with is shocking. It is appalling that the approach from a very well established company/brand is so poor and it is safe to say I won’t ever be shopping with them again. If you think you are paying for quality, it certainly isn’t quality of customer service!

I completely understand your frustrations as we all just want to receive our goods when shopping online. That being said, sometimes things go awry, and when there are partners involved, it can get tricky. As you will notice by the lack of similar reviews, your situation is not a common one, and we apologize that you have had to deal with the disappointment of a lost package. Nevertheless in any business where shipping is part of the process there are risks of loss as I'm sure you'll understand.

As manager of the Customer Service Team here at Wrangler Europe, I am happy to have the chance to reach out to you directly as I have been following your case behind the scenes making sure that my agents were following the correct procedures. Given that all processes and procedures were duly followed, I found no need to step in as I was certain that you were getting the best care. It is not commonplace for managers to contact our customers, your request is the first request we've received in at least 6 months. This is why we are not set-up for it has simply not been necessary.

As you will also notice by the rest of our reviews, they are a lovely group of dedicated people who try to do what they can to please our customers. I can thus confirm for you that my Customer Service Team does not lie. What happened, rather, is that they were advising you about the hold up in the Czech Republic as this is usually the case when a package does not immediately ship out. As with most any business that deals with logistics, we go by what our systems are telling us, and yours read as delayed.

Because systems can display errors, following this, we investigated with the warehouse and carrier. We were able to confirm that the package was indeed lost, exactly as we had promised we would. Not only has your order been completely refunded, but as an apology for the fact that your parcel was lost, you have also received a special Discount Code meaning that your new order would be at a discounted price of what you originally were going to pay. If you choose not to place a second order now, you are welcome use it instead on a different order in the next 3 months.

Again, my agents were correctly informing you that you could not be sent a replacement order as this is not Wrangler’s policy. We do not offer exchanges nor replacements, rather we can only ship orders which have followed the policy for "How can you make a purchase on this site?" which you will find in section 4 of our Terms & Conditions here: https://eu.wrangler.com/uk-en/terms-conditions-sale.html. In this section it states that "We will not accept Orders placed in any way other than as detailed above." As you will understand, exchanges and replacements do not follow the outlines steps and are therefore not possible to dispatch.

As for the form that you were asked to fill out, we apologize if there was a misunderstanding as this is not something that grants you a refund. As already mentioned your refund has already been processed and it is highly likely that the funds are already visible back in your account. This form is a tool that enables us to ameliorate our service by filing an official complaint on your behalf with the carrier. The time limit on the form is standard practice for any sort of dispute, in much the same way that there are time limits on Returns or Warranty policies. After the set period of time has passed, the assumption is that there is no problem, otherwise action would have been taken.

I hope that I have been able to put your doubts to rest. Admittedly as I mentioned before, losing a package that you were looking forward to is never nice. However, we very much appreciate your patience throughout this matter. Should you require any further assistance the team remains at your disposal.

I am still waiting for a refund for my…

I am still waiting for a refund for my returned items in June!!! I understand there was a delay on refunds which were due to be actioned on 19th July. We are now 10th August and I’m still waiting for over £100. No response from my latest question submitted via the website.

As you mentioned, there we are currently experiencing a delay in refunds which is due to system maintenance. Where many of our processes are normally automated, we are temporarily having to action certain things manually which you will understand is slowing us down.

We did inform that refunds were due to *start* being actioned, unfortunately we have no concrete timeline on when we will clear the slight backlog. We hope to be back to full speed before long!

When you contacted us yesterday, our CS agent Tomasz went ahead and completed your refund for you. You should have a confirmation email from him with further details. Depending on your bank, funds should appear in your account within 5 to 10 business days.

We know that such a long wait is frustrating, and we appreciate your patience so far. We are doing our best to keep up by doing things the good old fashioned way until the bells and whistles of our system update are fully functioning.

Horrible service-all aspects

They don’t allow for free returns and after paying for the return as they had instructed it took a phone call to follow up. They still hadn’t put my return in their system even though they had it for 4 weeks. Then it took another 3 weeks to actually receive the refund. Will never use their online order platform again!!

You are correct that free returns is not currently a part of Wrangler USA policy as it is here in Europe. On the Returns page of the Wrangler.com website (https://www.wrangler.com/return-policy.html) you will have seen the following clearly indicated:

"The customer is responsible for any and all applicable taxes and charges associated with returning merchandise."

Wrangler as a brand always tries to be as open and honest with our customers, which is why it is also clearly labeled on the USA returns page:

"IMPORTANT - Due to high demand and system maintenance, refunds for returns received after March 28th will be delayed approximately 4 weeks."

We are sorry that you were less than pleased with the wait time in receiving your refund which exceeded this 4 week expectation.
