Diabolical Customer Service
Recently our charger stopped working after just a year and a half. The yellow light was flashing and our Tesla was saying we weren’t authorized to use the charger. We emailed and the first day got immediate response. After a full days work of emailing back and forth, the woman “Veronica” said they were told to replace our charger. 4 days later I’ve emailed to inquire about the label they said they would send us.
The 5th day they want me to record the issue so they can analyze the issue!
I do not recommend as they do not honor their warranty and give you a LONG drawn out experience for defective products.
Buying a Tesla product at this point because they clearly don’t have a viable product they stand by.
Dec 16 I received an email that they were going to replace the defective product and attached the label, they then asked me to email them when I’ve shipped them the defective product, “ Unfortunately, we don’t receive automatic notifications for returns, so a quick email from you when the package is on its way will allow us to check our inventory and promptly begin processing your replacement.”
That statement alone speaks volumes they sent the label they can check the tracking but I sent them the email they requested. Then on the 18th they requested I remove this review.
I’m not even sure why as the process was horrible and it’s the truth.
I shouldn’t have to write a negative review for a company to honor their warranty.
This is where this company needs to invest automation in how they receive their emails for defective products. A customer should not have to email pictures, triage the product via email, and go back and forth for days for a replacement.
You all need a 1-800 number so people we can answer questions you have, then you all can triage and try to fix the issue but to have your customers wait days and give them the run around is not good customer service.
Not removing this, here is a fair warning the product is decent and works, it may or may not stop working within two years.
Since Teslas home charger is $450 and theirs is $250 spend the extra $200 from Tesla and get theirs! Tesla is a bigger company and hopefully they have a better product and customer service.
