I bought from Evergloss AU. The stuff is nothing like they advertise. Greasy and doesn’t buff. I emailed them to tell them the name on the tin wasn’t what was advertised, the same as the product . I... See more

AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY

AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY. Goods are fake and totally unusable and when you try to request a refund you just get standard reply as others have stated asking for you to pay to post your item back or receive 20% refund. Wish I’d checked out these reviews before losing £29.99 on a fake item

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !

Like all the other reviewers I have also been scammed by this fake company. I was fooled by their fake website into thinking this was a UK based company. Turns out this is a scam. The product comes from China. I don’t understand why this isn’t stated. The product is rubbish. Does nothing at all despite the advertised claims. They offer a 30 day risk free guarantee on the website but when I ask for a refund they have refused to honour their guarantee. They are now ignoring my emails.

Scam and fake item from China

Scam! I have received a fake item under a different name and different colour than advertised. It’s a fake from China that can be purchased for the fraction on the price on Amazon. Customer service was useless when asking for a refund. So fake product that doesn’t work and £20 loss. Avoid at all cost!!!’

It's a scam - avoid at all costs!

I wish I had read the reviews before getting sucked in by the slick advertising! As others have said, this is clearly a Chinese 'fake' and a scam. Product arrived after 3 weeks. The tin was bashed all over and the applicator brush was squint! But I thought I'd try it..... bristles started falling out immediately, had zero impact on leather. Complete scam. Asked for a refund and was told no as I had used it🙈. Disgusted.

Scam, poor product

Product awful….just like a wax/petroleum jelly in the tin, and when used the hairs all fall out of the brush. Had no effect on the leather at all, other than making a sticky mess. Contacted them by email as wanted a refund and they have asked me to send a photo of it and to return it, it would need to be returned unused. What a joke!! Scam….avoid

Evergloss is a FRAUD

It is a scam. I received a tin with a white, unscented substance, crooked front label, no ingredients label and no instructions. It was supposed to be made with hemp oil, beeswax, and shea butter, but this didn’t contain any of these ingredients. This item was supposed to be 8 oz but it weighs only 5.15 oz including the tin container. I contacted the company at their support email and asked for a refund. Here’s their answer:

“Dear *****,

thank you for your message.
Of course you can return the goods. We would like to make you an offer anyway, which is to refund you 20% of the purchase price and you can keep the item.
However, if you decide to return the goods, please make sure that the respective goods are returned in their original packaging and as good as new. Only in this way is a return and refund of the full purchase amount possible.
Please note that we do not issue prepaid return labels.
According to our terms and conditions, the recipient must pay the shipping costs in case of a return. If you decide to return the goods on your cost, please provide us a proof of shipment including the tracking number after you have send the package. We will then refund your money immediately.
Please return the goods to the following address:

Taizhou Kuayangyunlian Technology Co, Ltd.
301.5-2, Jiaoguang Group, Weiyi RD,
Jiaojiang, Taizhou, Zhejiang,
China

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We wish you a nice rest of the week.

Kind regards
Your Customer Support Team”

So, return the box to China for a full refund! Shipping this item would cost more than I paid originally. I’m out $40 but have learned a valuable lesson. Evergloss is a fraud. Shut them down!

I suspect this is a scam

I suspect this is a scam. There are no instructions with the item. There are no ingredients listed on the tin. Despite the ingredients supposedly in the the salve it has absolutely no scent. Just a greasy looking salve.

A complete scam

A complete scam. It’s just Vaseline. The brush arrived chipped and lid of product peeling off. No instructions. What a waste of $39.99. A complete waste of money. Lesson learned.

SCAM - it doesn't work as advertised

The wax doesn't work as shown in the social media advertisement. Very low quality. The brush included disintegrate during the first use and the wax is mediocre. A perfect scam as once you have tried it, they refuse to refund you as per their T&C's.

Chinese fake

Strongly suspect this is a Chinese fake. The label on the tin claims it’s a legitimate brand, i.e. “Cozy & Currant” Furniture Salve. However, if you look up this product it states it is scented and infused with natural oils - none of which applies to what I received. I note that the EverGloss website doesn’t give a return address, so I’ve submitted an enquiry to them about that. Whether they reply remains to be seen!

FAKE!

FAKE!! Absolutely 100% waste of money! Wouldn’t even give this stuff away it is useless! I feel extremely foolish to have fallen for the obviously doctored video footage of before and after leather damage! How trading standards don’t stop this is beyond me! 🤷‍♀️.

Fake Furniture Salve

I purchased the furniture salve believing it to be the original made by the Furniture Collective. What I received was a product from China that does not perform in the same way. It is useless and cannot be used for the purpose intended. I contacted the Furniture Collective who informed me that they believe I have purchased a fake product.

I then contacted Evergloss UK who cannot refund as their terms and conditions do not allow for this.

I will be contacting trading standards in the uk as I believe the product may be fake. It isn't about the cost but I am dismayed that when I informed Evergloss UK that their product may be a fake they did not seem concerned.

SCAM

Not the same as advertised, useless product and poor quality brush. Not a NZ product and can’t be returned because of ‘Sale’ price. Don’t buy.

Do not use

Do not use. Actually worth '0' stars!! Not as described in advert. Ad was billed as local NZ product with natural waxes... Note of order and shipping made clear was coming from China. Took 3 weeks to arrive. Poor and inefficient packaging, tin was damaged and bristle brush very poor quality. Everything was very oily... Tin did not look like one in advert and who knows what is in the product itself as no product info on tin, just a very hard lump of who knows what... Buyer beware...

This is another furniture salve scam!

This is another furniture salve scam!! The website stated it was Australian but the product was shipped from China and was not even the Evergloss brand. The “salve” arrived and it was orange and hard as a rock. The brush was also cheap and nasty and the bristles are weak and fall out. I contacted customer service and they said they’d either send me a 20% refund or I send the product back to China to receive a full refund, which would have cost me more than the product. DO NOT BUY FROM EVERGLOSS!
