You have put the order value is for $1000 however we do not deal in dollars. We are just concerned that you have the incorrect company as there is a company called fabricdirect.com that we sometimes get confused with. Brilliant customer service from Katie and her colleague. My query about postal costs was answered quickly and the fabric delivery time was very impressive given that I live outside of the UK. On the whole an easy and pleasant shopping experience.

Curtain material never arrived.
The material was ordered from "Fabric Direct Online"(or rather "Hole In The Wall Curtains Group Ltd" to use the true company name) on the 5th August. We were informed that the order was complete on the 28th September. On the 19th October we questioned why we still hadn't received the order and were given various implausible excuses essentially blaming the courier and us. We were told that there had been several attempts to deliver on days when we were at home and know that no delivery was attempted. The owner of the company said "I believe there may be difficulty gaining access, a communal area or side gate?" when, in fact, we live in a detached bungalow with a driveway directly onto the high street.
We gave up in the end and received a refund but no compensation for the wasted time, lost slot with the curtain maker etc.
In short our experience was: Staff nice, couriers dreadful, owners rude and with the wrong attitude to customers to succeed.

Hi Margaret, thank you for your review. We are very sorry that you were not satisfied with our service. When the order was placed by Mr Hamp we informed him that the fabric was sadly out of stock with our suppliers. We offered a full refund, alternative fabrics or to place the order on hold. As soon as the fabric arrived to us we contacted you and dispatched the order straight away. Sadly the couriers had trouble gaining access to the property due to the entrance being gated. After numerous delivery attempts the parcel was deemed as lost with the couriers. Jackie provided full tracking updates through out and proof of all of the delivery attempts. We then offered to re-send the fabric, a full refund or to make the curtains at a heavily discounted rate due to you loosing the slot with your curtain maker. We feel that we did everything possible to stay in touch with you and rectify the issue fairly.
Having ordered my fabric online
Having ordered my fabric online, the second I clicked go, I realised I had not allowed for pattern matching!. I found a phone number (bonus points for that!) and got through to Katie. She owned my problem, went to check pattern repeat, phoned me back and helped me amended my order correctly. The fabric was great, the amended order came through correctly and quickly. Very impressed with the customer service. Thank you.

Ordered small piece of fabric 10 days ago 2 days ago I got an email stating that my order was complete I didn't know what that meant I assumed that an order wouldn't be complete until the buyer had received the fabric! I have emailed them twice and phoned to see if my order had been dispatched but no reply shocking customer service

Hi Eileen, thank you for your review. We are really sorry that you are not happy with the service that we provided. You contacted our sales team on the 8th and 10th of September, an out of office message was allocated to the email address that you contacted with an alternative phone number and email if you needed an urgent response due to a member of our team being away on holiday. We did respond to both emails straight away on the 11th of September when the member of the team was back from holiday. The completed email is generated automatically from our Wordpress website, when the order has been dispatched from our warehouse. We did try calling you to inform you that the fabric was out of stock and would be dispatched a few days later than planned however we did not hear back from yourself so sent it as soon as possible. Once again we are really sorry for the delay in dispatching your order and we did try to reach out to yourself again to see if we could offer any further information to rectify the issue.

I have never shopped for fabric online before.A And a query relating to samples I had purchased before choosing my upholstery fabric online was dealt with most favourably by Katie. Once my order was placed it arrived within a few days. The lovely fabric which is very well priced appears to be of a higher quality than many I've found in a well known local nationwide store for twice the price per metre. Good price, great customer service
Just what I wanted! My fabric came but the pins didn’t. I think they may have been sent in a separate parcel and it got lost. But the team were brilliant, sorted it out straight away and it got to me quickly. Have recommended to my friends and will definitely be using again.
