The installation of our Valiant heat pump has been super reliable and is deffo more intuitive than our old gas boiler which kept letting us down. We were worried about insulation costs and the pump not warming our house through fully but the engineers and guidance from the team helped us get all the settings just right. Love it.

We have used FDG Group to install our solar panels, solar inverter, air source heat pump, new cylinder, bigger radiators, and finally battery storage for our 40’s 3 beds semi detached. We have found them excellent from start to end. We have what we need for our property after consultation and quotes etc. they did on site survey and paperwork to explain the work we need for our property. They did the heat pump all in 5 days from removing old gas boiler, changed all old radiators to bigger, put in cylinder in the loft with all the pipe works, they are very efficient and clean, when the work done, it’s like we haven’t had them at all, there was no paintwork for me to repair, no new carpet, it is amazing. The heat pump work really well. We found having heat pump with solar panels and battery work together rather well. This keep our electricity bill down to almost 20p per day during the spring/summer/ early autumn. We would recommend them. Thank you for your hard work and make this happened.

Not very professional, engineers and apprentices talking about “getting pissed” etc, staff then harrass you for full payment, even though parts are not fitted, then wants proof photos have to be sent showing incomplete, then you have to continuously chase them to come, to this day its still not been fully finished, when the unit breaks they fail to return calls and you have to go direct to manufacturer, they also use the very cheapest pumps radiators and valves that already intermittently work they also claim the government grant before installation, could go on!!

We started our process by getting various quotes from a lot of different companies. We spoke to Chris at FDG Group who asked a lot of questions and then very quickly we received a quote which Chris then went though. They left us to make a decision and answered any questions I had. We then decided on proceeding and the survey and installation went well and over all I would recommend them to anyone who is looking at getting solar.

Was originally going to get a Givenergy unit installed but with some helpful guidance Stephen Allen got me onto a brand new fox ess which I’m happy he did. Inverter & battery has worked really well and all the install went nice and quick.

FDG has very professional and friendly staff and all our concerns or inquiries have been dealt and answered in short time.

FDG installed a heat pump and 12 new radiators for us a few weeks before Christmas. The whole team was very hard working, efficient, polite and cheerful. It took 8 days to complete, but it was a big job. Since installation we have had a few hiccups and FDG have had to come back a few times to make minor adjustments. We were expecting some inevitable teething problems and FDG has responded promptly to calls. There was some delay in the project starting with dates for installation given and then changed at the last minute. Otherwise this review would have been 5 stars! The system is working well and our house is nice and warm.

Engineer came round and did a fairly rapid Heat Loss Review. They recommended a 3.5kw Heat Pump which was installed within 4-5 days. Had no problems with my Vaillant aroTHERM so far. Seems to be working pretty well in this cold snap and it's not burning through too much electricity. Even with the hiked electricity bill it's still cheaper than Gas. So far so good.

Only thing that could be improved is some of the admin side, but if you call them up and speak to Chris or Ian, they normally get it sorted for you pretty quickly.

Managed to get 8 panels attached to my semi-detached, and battery installed within 2 weeks. Nick, Chris and Ian were all really helpful in explaining the whole process to me and I'm really baffled by some of these reviews. Highly recommend pitch black JA Solar PV Modules. They look really nice on a grey slate roof. Roofers and Installers were sound but it did take a couple of days for them to collect some rubbish. After a couple of calls however, we got it sorted ASAP.

Within 1 week of my email to FDG asking for a quote to install solar panels and a battery, our system was installed and generating electricity. The system we were recommended meets all our requirements. The system and battery are large enough to allow us to store solar generated electricity or boost the battery from the grid at the cheaper rate on dull days. The app allows us to manage and monitor usage in real time and hence maximise stored electricity. Costs for daytime electricity use has seen our bill per month reduced from around £110 to £5, for a winter month.

I was genuinely uhhming and arrrring about this system and the supplier because it is a lot of money. Noticed some bad reviews regarding comms & time issues but fortunately I haven’t had the same issues. I’m not saying it went 100% smoothly but these things never do but thankfully the Givenergy system hasn’t given me any problems so far.

3 years on from having solar and an ASHP fitted I am paying up to £700 to run the pump after 3 years i found out my house does not meet the insulation requirements for an air source heat pump.

These guys are con men they have told me in the past Im not using the right setting but Vaillant have been to see how the pump is set up right, FDG only want your money they have zero interest in green energy .

AVOID them at all costs.

they promise everything and deliver nothing all the work is carried out by sub contractors

This month after Vaillant set our pump up we are using 70-90 kwh a day to get 17 degrees at the most for an extortionate amount of electric.

the pump is set up to the settings the manufacturer reccomends so please dont tell me im using it wrong

such a shame i cant reply to their reply the bill was paid in full after a deal with the owner of the company who offered a 5 year servicing deal but never carried it out their was NEVER a heat loss calculation onthe property please dopnt lie youve done enough lying.

Thanks for finally admitting the bill has been resolved not after my £700 last year for electric do you want to call a truce and coke and finish the system so I can save some money from the ridiculous bills I’ve had to pay ?

Re solar and solar edge. FDG gp limited make promises and will not honour their contract, they are a disaster to deal with, and have been from the beginning, my story is too long to document with the word count on this site. My contract has a 25 year warranty for the solar edge inverter which automatically comes with 12 years. It requires payment to be upgraded to 25 years. Despite my constant requests I cannot get any form of warranty documentation from them. They are of course nice when they want money but when it has been paid they cannot be bothered. You have to pay in full to get documentation to sell your electricity to be paid, but - WARRANTIES are not given despite promises. Having looked through reviews I am not the first with this complaint. Unfortunately I am now in the process of formal / legal complaints. My only advice would be AVOID this company and do not believe a word they say.
